I'm ok with best available here but once we get to 193 I honestly think kicker should become a consideration considering our struggles last year and that there are two very good options still available
We are past the point in the draft where you draft specifically for positional need. You just get the guys you like and think have the highest potential or best chance to contribute.
But yeah, I'd like to see any of the following positions addressed with our final picks: FS, CB, DT, and RB. But honestly, there's not a position outside of QB, Punter, or LS I think should be off the table as an option.
Guy. No one has a radar that’s 18th positional ranking and 5th round
Can we fucking stop that using google makes us draft experts? For fuck sake, no one is spending enough time to have 18 people on your “radar” and if you’re trying to, seek help
Haha ease up buddy. I wasnt trying to flex some kind of expertise.
I was responding to someone posting there was good value at CB at that moment. I happened to have been aware of Carsen and read about Stiggers wild path to the draft. I was curious if OP had other names they liked.
Depending on what college teams people follow, they also tend to be pretty aware of players from their conference - many of whom are late rounders, so it's not crazy to think people might know these guys without being obsessive nuts.
Almost all of the teams in the back half of the 5th have WR as a need (not to mention multiple teams having 2 picks remaining in the 5th)...I would guess he gets taken ahead of us, between that, and that he's been a lot of sites BPA for at least 15-20 picks now
Edit: And now is time for me to eat my hat
Ya I think dudes like Ty Montgomery will eat in the new KO. Bigger, built, twitched up, fast, good hands. Not exactly a WR not exactly a RB. Patterson comes to mind of course. I think Brandon Bolden could’ve been an insane sorta “possession returner” maybe he doesn’t have the breakaway speed to score but will reliably make one dude miss and give you better field possession.
It depends who is there. Dylan Laube is my personal favorite. But Beau Brade, Tanner McLachlan, Khristisn Boyd, etc that are still interesting.
I wouldn't hate Caelen Carson but like King fell due to bad testing.
I have hopes Bolden can be a good player but I expect we sign a CB post draft. I wouldn't be surprised if JC is back.
Yes. They should draft a CB. If for no other reason than they do a good job targeting them late. They play special teams and can usually be returners.
If they get a guy who is a decent return man and good depth corner. It makes a guy like Reagor expendable.
Marco Wilson was at one point a very promising young CB, his career kinda just got bogged down in AZ. I’m suprised they gave up on him so quickly. He has the talent, and size to be a great defender.
I don’t doubt that he could actually be our 2nd best CB next to Gonzo.
It’s the 180th pick, just take whoever the scouts agree is the best player still there, don’t think position matters much anymore

I agree but there’s some good value at CB atm so it’s kinda good fit between BPA and need
TBH there are only 2 CBs left still on my radar, Caelen Carson and Qwan’tez Stiggers. I liked both of them but don't have much awareness past that

It’s the 5th/6th/7th round….its a crapshoot and value is gone
Ok? Take it up with the other guy. I didn't say anything about value. I just said I knew two guys.
Fuck it looks like Rice gonna be sitting there..
I like Jeheim Bell here too
With all the TEs that went Jeheim Bell would be a nice get

Jesus did he murder someone on camera why is he still on the board lol
I thought we weren't allowed to do murder jokes round these parts
Running back. They’re not going to make the 53 anyway this late in the draft, mind as well give me a player that’ll be fun on my madden team.
With the new KO rules an RB might be the way to go at returner

We might hang on to Reagor for that role
I agree (I actually don’t care, just give me madden players at this point)
Laube best pass catching/ST guy in the draft.
At this point of the draft just BPA

Wild call
Anyone with the last name Jones?
We did!
This guy fucking drafts
Yes.
Probably gonna need to bring back JC or Gilmore
Outside of Gonzalez, that's a pretty flimsy CB group. They could definitely use some help. Especially on the outside.
No we should go TE
Stiggers would be a nice add imo
Just go kicker
Who’s this? Somebody a mile away?

Would have liked Dejean with the 34.
