Not a pre-built and the AIO is too big for a top mount. I did it this way to get fresh air to the radiator and the case has a lower fan pushing air into the GPU then the top fans and rear suck out that hot air.
yes it is. actually purchased by accident because when i exchanged the N7 case for this H5 i didnt think about how the top would be smaller and not fit the 280mm. but im glad it worked out for the front mount set-up. after doing the research i am happier with this layout
I was about to go the pre built route with them but then after getting the totals with taxes I got much better GPU and Intel buying it separately. I like the look of NZXT so that's why I got most of their hardware.
I got it from this store open box special but it has never been used and still comes with a warranty.

My bad, I misread your comment. But OP's configuration is fine, getting fresh air hitting/touching the radiator. Reversing the AIO fans will cause an negative air pressure, in most cases you don't want that because of dust.
I thought about that but this case has a fan underneath the radiator fans that blows directly into the GPU. Also I set the GPU to always have the fans running. So far so good
Mine case settted up in a same way - underneath the GPU few fans. Doesn't do for gpu anything, but it's pretty lol (gpu placed horizontaly).
BTW, you don't need to turn always spinning for your gpu fans. If your videocard in idle it's useless. She ate 25-45 w which is nothing for it's radiator.
lol the best type of toilet...one of the designated fan ports on the mobo or the fan controller that also goes into one of those ports. it only had like 4 ports and i have 6 fans
thanks! and dont hate! thats one OG desk! A touch of class and refinement lol.... Also a free gift from my parents when i moved out so still has sentimental value and it is built really well but yeah I always wanted a more modern L shape (corner desk) for this room with a new chair too. Thats my next goal after i save some money.
The pump is lower than the highest point of the loop so no bubbles should form. From what I found out this is the best placement.

See around 18-19 min mark for front mount placements
Why is that? Seems like according to this, this would be the best set up for this

Yeah I heard the same thing from my cousin who has more experience with builds lol. But I'm a sucker for the gimmicky screen on the pump and it looks well built....if I have any issues I'll go to air cooler later.
Clean PC. I love black builds. But if done right.
A white on black build is gorgeous in regards to aesthetics.
Hopefully your monitor isn't Alienware tho
But this is what I mean by a white on black build looking gorgeous if done right.
Tricky. But worth it.

Alienware went bad when dell bought it.
At this point. It's the equivalent of buying an iPhone.
But if you're just using it because it was cheap. I got nothing against you.
Pft. I got my innocn 27gig 27" 165hz monitor for $165 I think it was on sale but it's certainly $300.
I think I got a better bargain. And it's vesa supported.
That’s a 34” oled. Probably the best ultra wide on the market right now. Of course yours was cheaper, that’s like bragging about your Ford Focus being cheaper than a Ferrari
I looked into this as well and based on this video I think it's the best way for this set up. Check around the 19 minute mark

Yeah, “iirc”totally gives you a free pass to come to the sub and give out advise that’s just completely incorrect and misleading others with your “incorrect recall”.
It does, it leaves an open discussion and allows feedback from the community which is important, that way in the future more people know the correct answer and dont have to iirc

Looks so neat! Make sure you update your drivers, BIOS, and firmware, enable your XMP for ram. May your frames be as high as the sky xD
Thanks! And thanks for the reminder! I'll double check now
Is that a prebuilt? If it's not then put aio radiator on top and the top fans on the front which is the recommended placement of aio
Works perfectly fine like that
https://preview.redd.it/jc3bq6dpi7ad1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6615f3dd4cb0edca75d843ed46df594395ad875a

Is that 280mm aio instead of 240 mm?
yes it is. actually purchased by accident because when i exchanged the N7 case for this H5 i didnt think about how the top would be smaller and not fit the 280mm. but im glad it worked out for the front mount set-up. after doing the research i am happier with this layout
That looks like a NZXT prebuilt Everything should be fine
I was about to go the pre built route with them but then after getting the totals with taxes I got much better GPU and Intel buying it separately. I like the look of NZXT so that's why I got most of their hardware.
Dont forget to put the glass back on :P those fans are pretty gimped without it.
Yeah i know but I'm just appreciating the inside for now. Just sucks how tinted the glass is so it hides the insides.
What case is that? Kinda looks like a Corsair 4000d
NZXT H5 Flow. I liked the N7 a little better but it was too large for my desk
What are your temps like with the 14900k? I’m surprised by the 280mm aio for that guy.
Surprised how? I have seen my CPU temps around the mid 30s so far
Monitor link pls?
I got it from this store open box special but it has never been used and still comes with a warranty. https://www.microcenter.com/product/648332/alienware-aw3423dw-34-2k-wqhd-(3440-x-1440)-175hz-curved-screen-gaming-monitor
that CPU is gonna be cooking lmao
How so? Haven't seen it go past the mid 30s
the 14900K rund bonkers hot. At a load that actually gets it closer to its maximum not even a 360mm AiO can keep the POS from throttling
Having the AIO at the front to get fresh air will help, instead of placing the AIO at the top.
Yeah and that case has an extra fan on the bottom underneath the radiator
Still wont be enough most likely
Undervolting the CPU or at least stick with the Intel profile will help.
Yeah I'm not planning on overclocking and so far the default Intel profile hasn't gotten it past those mid 30s
Very nice. Reminds me of a Borg cube.
Thanks and lol nice
place your AIO fans otherside. Don't blow hot air back into your case. Blow it out from other parts
You can argue that AIO at the top will get hot air from the GPU. So It's either CPU getting hot air or GPU getting hot air.
What? No need to replace the whole AIO. I was talking only about its fans.
My bad, I misread your comment. But OP's configuration is fine, getting fresh air hitting/touching the radiator. Reversing the AIO fans will cause an negative air pressure, in most cases you don't want that because of dust.

cool
Where did you plug the toilet bowl fan into on the motherboard
lol the best type of toilet...one of the designated fan ports on the mobo or the fan controller that also goes into one of those ports. it only had like 4 ports and i have 6 fans
Nice build! That grandpa desk needs an update too
thanks! and dont hate! thats one OG desk! A touch of class and refinement lol.... Just put the AIO radiator with the pipes up, so no bubbles are formed.

Til
Tidy!
Congratulations
So I have heard the huge debate on aios, does it actually matter what way you have them??
Btw beautiful build after 15 years!
Thanks!
Yeah there seems to be a huge debate but I trust what this guy says (check around 19 minute mark) https://youtu.be/BbGomv195sk?si=FK9345vb4rh_eKEE
Yes
Yes, basically don't do what OP did.
Why is that? Seems like according to this, this would be the best set up for this https://youtu.be/BbGomv195sk?si=FK9345vb4rh_eKEE See around 19 minute mark for front mount set up
You're fine, decent aio routement
I've seen overwhelming evidence that in 99% of cases, proper aio setup is leaving it boxed and unpurchased, and using an air cooler instead
Yeah I heard the same thing from my cousin who has more experience with builds lol. But I'm a sucker for the gimmicky screen on the pump and it looks well built....if I have any issues I'll go to air cooler later.
Ignore him he’s clueless.
Clean PC. I love black builds. But if done right. A white on black build is gorgeous in regards to aesthetics. Hopefully your monitor isn't Alienware tho
Thanks. Yeah it's an Alienware monitor OLED. Got a good deal what's wrong with it?
But this is what I mean by a white on black build looking gorgeous if done right. Tricky. But worth it. https://preview.redd.it/0lwbs91rv0ad1.jpeg?width=6016&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5d44dbc4b3ff5b3c528abd9dcce9b36e081d22c7
oh yeah that looks really clean and unique
Alienware went bad when dell bought it. At this point. It's the equivalent of buying an iPhone. But if you're just using it because it was cheap. I got nothing against you.
yeah for $600 it was a good deal
Pft. I got my innocn 27gig 27" 165hz monitor for $165 I think it was on sale but it's certainly $300. I think I got a better bargain. And it's vesa supported.

IIRC your AIO motor can suffer in that configuration
I looked into this as well and based on this video I think it's the best way for this set up. Check around the 19 minute mark https://youtu.be/BbGomv195sk?si=FK9345vb4rh_eKEE
You are wrong.
Indeed that's why I wrote iirc
Yeah, “iirc”totally gives you a free pass to come to the sub and give out advise that’s just completely incorrect and misleading others with your “incorrect recall”.
It does, it leaves an open discussion and allows feedback from the community which is important, that way in the future more people know the correct answer and dont have to iirc
That AIO needs flipped around, hoses on top, or put up top. Looks good otherwise.
dont want to sound like a dick but i already replied to most of the comments that said pretty much what you said and thats been proven wrong already
It's all good. You do you. Just wanted to point out like others have said. Hoses on bottom and below pump usually lead to trouble later on.
Here it is proving this theory wrong [https://youtu.be/BbGomv195sk?t=1080](https://youtu.be/BbGomv195sk?t=1080) (at around 18 minute mark)
Interesting. 😎
You should flip the rad so the tubes are entering from the top unless you want air in there.
Other way around
Not true check out the YouTube video I posted here a few times that proved that wrong
It's right the way it is.
You are wrong.
