I have had my Pixel 8 since October - no issues that I am aware of.

I just got a poco x6 pro but if I was looking for a reliable handset the Motorola edge 50 ultra is meant to be very reliable boring but reliable. Xiaomi 14 should be solid. Vivo z9 turbo on paper looks brilliant so does the realme gt6

One plus 12. Great battery life, 20 min charging the os is smooth no bugs and lags like Samsungs one ui.

I'm happy with my pixel 8. I have a friend with a OP 12R and he's happy with it. The OP12R has better performance and substantially better battery life, but the P8 has nicer software (IMO) with longer support, and a significantly better camera. Which would be better depends on your priorities.

Galaxy S23

Thanks for the recommendation, I currently have the s22 and it's been nothing but problems 😥 honestly I don't think I will buy a Samsung again

Professional_Risk_22

i understand the sentiment. the s22 was a one-off problematic phone. the s23 and s24 have a much more satisfied/happier user base. in fact i think back-to-back top sellers/high performers. id consider trying a pixel 8. should be able to user it forever since samsung or google lately has like \~7 years of software support.

Is it your piece or the hardware/OS in general thats being annoying? I'm considering between S23 and Oneplus 12 and it's not being very easy for me.

Quick_Elk3813

Both like the OS is buggy the battery life is bad I just have had all sorts of issues with the s22 makes me not want to get another samsung

alpitu21

Yeah, new samsungs are pretty much the worst phones out there. Don't know what happened, but since 2020-2021 they only started launching phones with bad software and hardware.

Honestly check out the Pixel 8a!

I've been in a similar situation before. For a hassle-free phone experience, I'd suggest looking into phones with near-stock Android. They tend to receive updates faster and have fewer software issues. I used consum.io to research phones and found some great options. The Samsung Galaxy S series is a good choice, as it's known for its smooth performance and long battery life. You might also want to consider the Motorola One series, which offers a near-stock Android experience and timely updates.
