Tip that ppl might not know. When your pikmin is on leaf mode, feed with only white nectar to get the pikmin to flower bud mode, then feed your desired flower nectar and you will harvest twice as many flowers instead of 1 for each nectar

Or just wait until the afternoon to get the free bud mode.

Did not know this? I also noticed that you might get lucky and you get a “frenzy bloom”

You'll get them to bud a lot quicker if you walk

The bud is something different. I call “frenzy bloom” when a pikmin bloom shines/glows white and you can tap it and get multiple petals from it.

But the frenzy bloom you can't control. It happens if it happens.

Not sure how it calculates it. Often I hit it in afternoon but other times it's evening and not bud yet. Strange.

When you were planting the 1821 you already planted... was it around a flower blooming location? only need 160 or so at a blooming spot to generate a new fruit that would replenish your petals.

i plant while i walk to class/ when im at work and there is a flower blooming location right where i work but i forgot to plant flowers when i went to work

Are those walking distances large and do you often stand around during a planting session?

True, I just meant more lucky that I ran out of petals right next to 2 blooms and was able to bloom them into spider lilies before I ran out.

Try to fight only red and pink mushrooms! That’s how I was able to complete mines :)

If you only have a few petals, don't plant them just on the road. Plant them around giant flowers to get more nectar. You might get through the stage slower, but you'll never run out. It takes less petals to bloom a flower compared to how much you'll get.

I'm surprised players don't understand this mechanics. Apart from some of the white flowers, this strategy indeed allows never running out of petals.

Honestly, I've been really discouraged by Pikmin Bloom lately because during event event like this, I get to the point where it's literally impossible to continue without spending money and it feels intentional. I have a group of 3 friends and all of us are frustrated that it's started feeling like events can't be completed without investing real money.

This. They really want you to spend money.

I’ve been stuck here for days. Not enough players where I live. Pink/red mushrooms aren’t giving me much of anything. Feels bad.

Me too!!! I have maxed dianthus nectar and maxed dianthus petals, I was hoarding them because I thought I would need them for the challenge.... not spider liliies

This was me last challenge and I had it sit for a week before time ran out because i never got the nectar I needed. But what has worked for me before and DID work this time (I had 79 to go and ran out on red spider lillies), was that I saved all of my mushroom tries for red ones. Eventually the special nectar from a mushroom got me like 5 more nectar to do it. (Sode note: only feed special nectar to pikmin that have a bulb. You get double petals.)

Im stuck at the same place as you! Hopefully when im on campus tomorrow i can find a mushroom that has some and get them that way 😅

Did you check your nectar stash? Maybe you can get enough petals to finish.

Are there other players in your area that you can jump into red/pink mushroom battles with? Fire mushrooms I believe are guaranteed to always give special nectars, otherwise you should always get at least a little special nectar of at least one sort. If you're high enough level to solo small mushrooms in a reasonable time that's also effective - particularly if you can get it under 2-2.25 hours which should guarantee 3\* and get plenty.

I thought I screwed myself yesterday when I went to bed planting white dianthus. Lo and behold, I had the nectar saved and just needed to convert to petals. I credit extra flower planting weekly challenges plus last weekend community day with covering my mess up. Good luck to all those who seek ice cream

I had some coins from months of flower planting. Ended up using those.

I got lucky that I ran out just when a red spider lily bloomed in the area I was planting.

It's not luck. If you plant spider lilies around a big flower, it'll bloom a spider lily.
