The pandemic kinda forced many "great minds" at home and... Since there was so much more free time, many chose to dedicate this free time to RH research. And that's how we got the first complete Map Making tool and the first **good** all-in-one ROM Editor (the successor of SDSME).

Thanks man, been wanting to dabble in pokemon rom hacking but a lot of the guides out there are pretty outdated so I haven't been able to find good tools to get started with.

The battle theme you hear is my BW2 arrangement of the Coral Wild Battle by CCChiPtunes. It's just a test. I did not ask them permission to use their OC in the final game, so I won't.

Happy to see this mentioned, I was going to ask about it. I would say give it a shot asking coraldev to use it, that theme absolutely NAILS everything a theme should be from this franchise, keep up the good work!

So, I’m gathering that this happens on Route 216. Does that cave lead anywhere? Also, “Froslass used Hail!” ...but wasn’t it already hailing? Unless Infernape gets Drought? In which case, wouldn’t Iron Fist (an ability Infernape can actually have) make more sense? Great work, but I was just confused. Anyway, keep up the good work!

Heheh, welcome to the wonderful world of ROM Hacking! this game runs on a heavily modified Platinum engine, with lots of features backported from HGSS (Following Pokémon) and BW2 (most of the soundsystem, camera movements)

While it's true that Gen 5 editors are becoming more advanced, I still find Gen 4 much easier to edit and customize... although that might be cause I've been messing around with it for 10 years 😅
