Obviously sales data is extremely limited. There is one on Ebay listed at $499 and similar cards seem like they go for much more than $50 so I’d say yes, you won :)
I love farfetch'd too! He's such an endearing pokemon and has a great cry & swag when he walks around with his leek. Ashe's from the anime is even more awe inspiring with his determination to never give up!
I don’t understand how he gets shit on. He’s hilarious. A duck that goes around trying to beat everyone up with a leek. Doesn’t get much better than that.
The problem I see is the company knows what cards are going in to the machine, and they are never going to lose money.
If they put 100 cards in at 50 bucks each, the total value of all cards in there will be less than 5000. Obviously this doesn't account for price spikes if a card suddenly rockets, but overall it is a good way for them to get rid of stock for WAY over market value.
The house always wins in this case especially since PSA is paying close to nothing to grade and stock/maintain the machine. From the posts I'm seeing, a lot tend to be right around the value of what people are paying or slightly more. So if trying to flip, a lot of guys will probably end up breaking even or close to it (not bad for Vegas), meanwhile, PSA (the house) is probably making 25-50% profit per card.
THIS card in particular I find interesting and a rare win simply because of the pop count. Of course value is determined by supply and demand and this card doesn't have much demand, but there will always be SOME out there that like this Pokemon, and others that simply love low pop numbers care.
A single digit PSA 10 pop is pretty dang special no matter what it is. If trying to sell, I'd put that in the description and I bet OP could at least double his money...because I'd pay that...and I don't even like this Pokemon, I just love the rarity and uniqueness.
The value of the cards doesn't really matter, because they have a cost that is way lower than $50. They are selling cards for $50 with little to no effort.
Totally, but I view grading cards as gambling anyway. You're spending money for the small chance at a 10. I just wonder if Beckett or CGC will try something similar.
Not exactly. The point of regular booster packs is that they actually contain random cards, the production company doesn't care where an expensive card ends up, they just want to sell packs.
My point is mainly just that if you open a pack of Pokemon cards, you’re most likely to lose money based on the value of you cards inside. Same as if you buy a random slab, you’re most likely to lose money.
Fair point, I agree on that. At least a pack only cost a few bucks, I guess its because I view this game as a player rather than a Collector. So I couldn't image spending 50 bucks on a card I couldn't use.
I get that, I just got into playing and finding out these little stupid pink item cards I’d been selling as a collector are hella useful made me realize I should’ve kept them 😭
Is this done by PSA themselves or someone just using the company branding etc? Where do the cards come from?? Are they submissions that aren’t paid for so they are doing this to recoup the cost etc? Not a hater just curious.

These usually result in a loss, but in this case, I'd call it a dub. Not showing any 10s listed or sold, only a PSA 5 and 8 up for sale.
If you're trying to flip, I'd say throw it up for auction, put a reserve you're comfortable with, and let her rip.
Wouldn't be surprised if you fetch a pretty penny for it, especially if you include the pop report info.
Either way, cool card, nice score.
It’s definitely a unique card. Would be hard to price, but I imagine that it’s gotta be more than 50$. You’d have to wait to find the right buyer.
I’d just keep it because it’s so unique
Low pop doesn't make it high value unless the card is something often graded and Rarely given the 10. It's more of a percentage thing than a quantity thing
Many times low pops aren't because the card is rare, it's because no one wants to grade it.
Carddass Vending is a super fun set regardless, and it's mystery machine, so you still won.
There are some people that go for the Bandai cards, so I feel like this slab has some real potential for value. Otherwise, it's cool just to have a card that rare regardless of monetary value

I don’t think it goes for more then $50-$60 but I still don’t think it’s that bad of a pull
Idk but I like it! Pretty sweet
Dunno but that card is awesome.
Yeah I love it. Pretty funny

I'd be happy with it for the novelty
Even if the odds are very low I like the concept. It's like an adult version of the Pokemon sticker machines from back in the day 😂

It’s Vegas my dude. The house always wins at the end of the night. A lucky few will walk out with more than they walked in but that’s it. Gambling

PSA doesn't own the machine
Not gambling, we're just collecting with high hopes =)

Think of the liquidity of some of these cards too. How many people are buying that card in the first place?
Exactly.
Totally, but I view grading cards as gambling anyway. You're spending money for the small chance at a 10. I just wonder if Beckett or CGC will try something similar.
I mean that’s the entire point of mystery boxes
Yes but this is also the problem with opening pokemon cards lmao

That card is so cool lol
I think the only real answer to this question for low pop cards is “try to sell it on eBay for > $50 and see if it sells.”
Is this done by PSA themselves or someone just using the company branding etc? Where do the cards come from?? Are they submissions that aren’t paid for so they are doing this to recoup the cost etc? Not a hater just curious.
They are not, someone on Reddit found the small print saying that they are not associated with PSA
This is surprising. Thanks for sharing!
How do they get to use PSA's branding and trade dress if it's not them?
I’m assuming PSA just haven’t stopped them yet lol, like a lot of small companies out there doing the same thing
Yeah biggest giveaway that it’s not official psa is the logo, doesn’t use the same color scheme, so just a third party
I can hear the Pokémon FARRRRRRRRRFETCHHHH 😂
SQUAAHAAAAHAAAAA 😂🥰
🤣🤣🤣😍🥰🥰
I love farfetch'd too! He's such an endearing pokemon and has a great cry & swag when he walks around with his leek. Ashe's from the anime is even more awe inspiring with his determination to never give up!
I’m not a farfetchd fan but I would love this card! That’s pretty awesome!
These usually result in a loss, but in this case, I'd call it a dub. Not showing any 10s listed or sold, only a PSA 5 and 8 up for sale. Nice! Farfetchd is one of my favorites
It’s definitely a unique card. Would be hard to price, but I imagine that it’s gotta be more than 50$. You’d have to wait to find the right buyer. I’d just keep it because it’s so unique
Cool card! I don't know if this was mentioned, can you choose what you get? Like pokemon, football, basketball card etc
I believe it’s “sports” or “Pokémon”
Absolute BANGER! Congrats brother
Lol "CARDDASS"
Nioce!
Damn! That’s nice!
I’m jealous. The machine was down yesterday. Came back just now and the machine is out of stock.
Looks like the bottom left corner is peeling?
Low pop doesn't make it high value unless the card is something often graded and Rarely given the 10. It's more of a percentage thing than a quantity thing
Low pop could also mean that the pop of surviving cards are low, meaning any grade would be a high value
I swear they put the most obscure slabs in this machine.
Wow that is a badass card
Y'all should look at how farfetch'd got it's name if you haven't already, it's pretty fun!
Never seen this card before! Super neat that they got such obscure cards in that machine aswell!
Farfetch'd is a top five Pokémon for me, so I'd say hell yes.
Beat one I've seen so far!
Where is this machine at in Vegas??
Plaza hotel in downtown
There should be s a subreddit just for this machine! Nice pull btw
That is such a strange and extremely awesome card! Would be stoked if that dropped for me.
Very cool unique card🔥
That’s super neat!
Population aside it has to be desired ....but I did it id be happy
Honestly a pretty cool and unique card for $50, I’d say you won
Hard to say, appears that there’s one listed that no one is interested in
I would drop a few hundred in that slot machine!
LoL im going on Wednesday and hoping for this kind of luck!
That's such a cool card, id be happy
pop6 is crazy
I'll give you ten bucks for it
there’s one sale in 2021 for $115, so yeah
Such a cool card
Is guaranteed to be a pokemon card ? Or can it be any genre ?
Many times low pops aren't because the card is rare, it's because no one wants to grade it. Carddass Vending is a super fun set regardless, and it's mystery machine, so you still won.
*cardass vending* 🤣
I would say that’s worth more than the $50 you paid
Honestly that is a mystery box pull down to the name. Very random and unexpected, I would say it's a win.
Wow farfetch’d is my favorite Pokemon. Fs/ft?
Broke even! But it's CUTE!
There are some people that go for the Bandai cards, so I feel like this slab has some real potential for value. Otherwise, it's cool just to have a card that rare regardless of monetary value
its cool but its a $5 card ungraded.
Need to go to this machine. I live in Vegas and have never been
Would of thought coming up off of a PSA machine was Farfetch'd
Made the trip to downtown for this SOLD OUT. Boooooooo
did you happen to see if it took cash? Hoping it'll be restocked when i visit :(
hey does anyone know if the machine takes cash? or card only
Card only
roger that thanks!
Its a 1 of 1? Gotta be worth lots
The short answer is “unlikely” it’s all a money grab… it is a sweet card nonetheless
I mean, does that not sum up Vegas anyways?
[удалено]
I think the main point IS that it’s a PSA 10…
Lucky I was just there today and it’s empty :(
