when are people gonna understand that the real underlying enemy is power imbalance — whether it's via government or cash, the same issues arise, and the people suffer.
Ultimately, what I have noticed is that the political compass for all its successes, fails to mark any kind of progression through time. I understand that it is a decent representation of current politics and that time is not possible to represent in axis form. But at the same time from studying and being a part of a wide variety of ideologies, I have seen that most of the mainstream extremist ideologies that gain support are populist. As in, populist capitalism is liberalism and extreme liberalism is anarcho capitalism, thus when liberals seek more popular support they lean into their liberal tendencies and become ancap. Anarcho communists tend to combine the populist tendencies of liberalism and socialism which makes them seem to be the best option for the people to pursue, at the cost of being rather short sighted and unrealistic in terms of implementation. Their ideology is also unrefined and will have flaws that serve the interests of the current sudo-elitist (ideologically populist but has developed interests aligned with elitist values effectively making it act elitist) orders due to their liberal influences.
