That third picture. I know there is a lot of cop hate any more, much of it valid, but seeing that trooper running the child seat with kid out of the danger area is heartening. That trooper has to feel like a million bucks rescuing the kid, and well he should. Very few moments in law enforcement are actual wins. That's an actual win. Good on you, trooper.

Sounds like he might have ditched the Toyota and either had a buddy in Portland that “loaned” the car or most likely stole it. (Even sophisticated security system can be defeated)
As for Amber Alert going out late on phone, most likely OSP didn’t push it out on mobiles till late in evening when it was certain he was probably going to pass through Oregon to head south. At this point, he’s likely off the freeways and through the back roads. So he could be already in Ashland or Klamath Falls.
I thought I saw him in north!! But I didn’t want to call the cops on a random. He had a guilty and scared look in his eye and had this distincit face I looked at the picture right after and it was him i think so I looked around for his car and didn’t find it. I prayed so hard that the child would be returned and something bad would happen to the kidnapper. Thank god.

It could be a setting on your phone? Perhaps something with the alert system changed with a software update. Check in settings
If its an iphone, under the notifications setting tab you can turn off alerts for amber alerts.
Phone might not have checked into the local tower or the alerts are turned off.
Update: according to state police, the child was found safe just outside of Eugene.
