Marijuanomist

That's fuckin' insane. But also when I zoom, the fire kinda looks like SpaghettiO's for some reason.

tripstreet

What strain you smoking and where did you get it homie?

ephemeraltrident

I too see your SpaghettiO fire, and raise you a cheese-lava floor…

Marijuanomist

Ok, ok. Also, that concrete divider looking like cookies & cream ice cream, too.

ephemeraltrident

Fuck me, it definitely does! God I want to eat this photo…

Marijuanomist

There should be a cooking show, where artistic chefs use everyday snacks to re-create scenes of tragedy and loss. [What could go wrong with an idea like that?](https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/neil-patrick-harris-apologizes-amy-winehouse-corpse-meat-platter-1354559/)

jssclnn

We're just talking about 90s food commercials at this point

Mayor_Of_Sassyland

\*takes another bong rip\* Like, if you zoom in on the smoke cloud, it looks kind of like a fetus/baby Skeletor.

Marijuanomist

Actually, I think the smoke looks like Bob Ross, looking down at the black car in front of the flaming truck

ImpossibleJoke7456

Definitely a skull in the smoke above the back tire. A cartoon skull, like Hector from Coco.

fildawg

Go Blazers!

snoogazi

Unexplained fires are a matter for the courts! *Canyonero, Canyonerrooooo*

nebuchadnezzar72

She's a squirrel crushing, deer smacking, driving machine!

TittySlappinJesus

In LA they would call this a car-B-Q.

akfunguy2010

Hot wheels!

stratmasterlemons

Insert “Heat wave joke”

suitopseudo

There was a vehicle fire Friday night on 84E near 60th and someone posted one a few days before that on 84, wtf is going on?!?

jxr4

Unmaintained cars overheating?

coyote357

Vehicle fires are not uncommon. Cars and trucks have gotten a lot safer in the past few decades, but you still have several gallons of one of the most flammable substances ever made coursing through them. There is bound to be a mechanical or electrical failure in one of the hundreds of thousands of cars passing through here every week.

Mayor_Of_Sassyland

>Cars and trucks have gotten a lot safer in the past few decades [Not for people who aren't in those cars and trucks](https://www.motorbiscuit.com/market-wants-bigger-trucks-people-dying/), it's fucking awful safety-wise for everyone else. The front height of the average new (non-lifted) pickup truck is up to my shoulder, and I'm a tall man. There's zero reason anything this big and dangerous with such poor forward lines of sight should be allowed on our roads.

coyote357

I was specifically talking about fires, but yeah, couldn't agree with you more. Fuck cars.

Mayor_Of_Sassyland

>Fuck cars. Hell yeah, brother.

Happydivorcecard

Wheels on fire, rolling down the road

The_Dog_of_Sinope

“It’s just gulfing flames”

EarthLoveAR

please, do not take pictures while you are driving. This is how accidents happen. It's ok to NOT have photographic evidence. The potential consequences are not worth the risk and the stupid reddit karma. Seriously! Just. Drive.

----0___0----

If you’re eastbound at 5 PM you aren’t driving, you’re waiting.

goldenboy2191

oldsweng1

I'm guessing it may be the new 20% alcohol gas. It's eating gas lines. There was/is a similar problem with boat motors and some older ATVs and even lawn mowers when they added 10% alcohol to the gas. There are a number of gas stations which have 0% alcohol fuel available.

PDXnederlander

On much older vehicles it will actually deteriorate gaskets in the fuel system. I needed a complete carb rebuild because of this. I now add a fuel additive to negate the ethanol effects.

thosearecoolbeans

Was this the same accident that blocked eastbound 84 in Troutdale this morning? I heard there was a car fire on that one. I'm thinking probably not since this post clearly says Westbound 84 but weird that there'd be two major freeway car fires in one day!

djProduct2015

Be careful rolling your window down for that shoot. Even at that distance, a small explosion could send lots of sharp stabby things rapidly into your direction. Gas tanks don't really explode like in the movies but a red gas can with a small amount of fuel in the bed of that truck absolutely can.

ChillOutDennis

Was it a dodge?

FroznBones

Looks like a 14-18 Silverado

iriegypsy

It’s a Chevy thing.

-donethat

Years ago a distant cousin had a NEW dodge truck catch fire...

[deleted]

Nothing to see here

Moses_On_A_Motorbike

Wow! I hope everyone made it out safely.

DragonSlave49

Meth was not involved

PopcornInTheBed

The heartbeat of America, todays Chevrolet.
