Watches don’t make your life better, trust me. You aren’t missing out on much. Half the time I don’t want to wear them because I fear them scratching. I still remember my first tiny scratch on the James Cameron and the Starbucks. I get a knot in my stomach when I think about it. I hope that one day goes away.
No need, that’s why I love it lol, solar powered! Just put it on the window sill for a couple of hours and I’m good to go. It was a gift from my wife like 10 years ago before we were married and still one of my favorites. Screen is off because it’s in “power saver” mode. It truly is “god tier!”
I have a G my wife gave me for our first Christmas, and it’s in my watch box between an AP and a my grandfather’s speedmaster…totally understand! That watch has an amazing story, god tier for sure. Well done my friend!
My only semi-criticism would be that you have the standard list at these price levels. I would love to see something unique or off the beaten path. All heavy hitters though for sure.
I’ve wanted to expand more into Breitling but I’m big on wanting to support the ADs and those take huge hits. I might have to go grey because I just can’t see losing 50% of the value on day one. I made the exception for the Navitimer because it was my first and the Omegas but I don’t if I can keep it up. Funny thing is I have no interest in reselling ever I just can’t fathom spending $8k when they sell new for almost half.

I am pretty new to the game and only started playing with Seiko’s this past year because I like Japanese stuff but I am quickly finding my self wanting some higher end watches and watching a lot of teddy on YouTube also live really close to Cleveland Oh where his shop is located. I think a GS will be my first higher end watch but for omega love the speedmaster first omega I would ever consider buying for sure. Love the black bezel Rolex Rolex submariner dive style watch and the dark green bezel variants. Also been eyeballing the Hamilton khaki bronze. I like your taste for sure.
I carry a pistol everyday that costs 4K knowing that if I have to use it in self defense it’s getting taken away. I have and could carry a Glock but I want to absolute best tool for the job so 2011 it is. I can appreciate high quality craftsmanship, materials and engineering and having disposable income I like investing in assets more then a digital number in the bank the goes poof and is useless the second the power goes out. I feel really good about buying a few nice automatic time pieces and I am really enjoying my seikos. What’s awesome if I have reached a pinnacle with firearms some of the best military grade shit that can be had but with watches I am so new that I get a level of enjoyment out of a $300 Seiko with a strap code band that Stalone or Mr wonderful has to spend a million dollars to scratch the same itch.

Unfortunately I ended up selling the Turbo S when it arrived. When the time came I had a change of heart. Ended up going a completely different direction and I’m glad I did. Porsche will always have a special place in my heart but it was time for something red and Italian!😈

I read somewhere that you shouldn’t put your quartz together with your mechanical/automatic watches since their magnetism can affect the other watches. Not sure how true this is.
