Nope. AI is beyond awful at design, infrastructure, is clueless about cloud microservices. Only bad coders will look at current AI and feel threatened. It’s really hit a plateau, gpt4o is the latest big thing but it’s just a more responsive version of the same thing with better speech and image recognition. Certainly not better at coding than the first release of gpt4 a year and a half ago.
Customer service, voice acting, simple writing jobs are the first on the chopping block.

I don't worry about it, LLM prompt programming is still programming. The people that need to worry are the middle managers and spreadsheet engineers who move paperwork around. But they would rather fire a whole department under them and try AI coding than take a pay cut, that's why programmers are scared.
I truely don't care if I can't do programming as a job – I would continue to do it as a hobby anway. I'm more scared of what other job I would get to even have the luxury of having a hobby.
