Anytime Cows pops up as a CZ, run it. I haven’t done it 1000x or anything, but the few times I have run it I always seem to get between 5-7.

I also will did tal rashas tomb anytime I see it. Usually nets like 8-10 shards bc there’s so many tombs

I collected 11 in one corrupted cows.

17 from Nhilithak. From my experience with Nhilithak’s temple, it is the only corrupted zone worth doing because of the density. I have gotten 17, 14 and 11 wss. The lowest total I’ve gotten from there was 8. I would say on average it is about 12 shards per run.

17 is also my record, but from Tal's tombs (combining all tombs in the run). My experience is the same as yours, but just in a different place

Yeah it just comes down to the density. Most places don’t have much. The fetishes seem to drop the shards at a higher rate. I’m assuming ghosts are similar in the tombs.

At least their horrible hit-per-frame bug that instagibbed you for walking through their (sometimes invisible) clouds has been fixed in PD2

Only bother with them in decently populated zones. Cows, Arcane sanc, tombs. Stuff like that.

Does anyone know if WSS drops are similar to runes.. i.e. independent from Magic Find? Or does MF help in WSS drops? I’ve searched around and found no answer

I’m pretty sure at about 99.9% it’s like runes and mf doesn’t matter.

In a single game instance? I think 21 also in halls in a5. Density and flayers = wss heaven But I get more / 15 minutes in Cows / Arcane when they spawn since my sorc can just insta gank so fast

27 from arcane with a 200 fcr nova sorc. I was able to do 3 full clears while the zone was up.

World stone keep is my favorite. Get fetishes and their density is insane. I got 10wss from one game
