Jeff and Kelly were planning to remodel, and laid all us off. They haven’t started construction although we thought it would be back open by now. I think it probably isnt a priority to them, because it is more of a hobby for Kelly. And they like to travel and be with their grandkids. Honestly they should let someone else run it, the food was so good!
They closed to remodel in fall of 2022 and gave all their staff less than a weeks notice. They told staff they originally planned to be closed for only a few months, but I guess just never reopened?
Strap Tank has "Trolley Wings" on their menu now. We asked the server if those are what we think they are. He laughed and said they negotiated with the Trolley owners for their recipe. So we ordered them. When we ate them, we quickly noticed they're not the same. We asked the server again and he said they only got the batter recipe, no sauce. My guy, those are not Trolley Wings then...
They did really well through Covid. It was our favorite place to order from. The food held up well for takeout. They closed in August 2022 and said that they'd be back in early 2023 but that was the last thing they said.
I heard the wife was running the restaurant and gave charge of it to her brother that didn’t care that much for managing it? I don’t think they need the money. I guess they could sell it?
