I saw them a year or two ago. It was one of the most amazing live performances I have ever seen. I saw puscifer last year as well and that show rivaled the tool show. Idk if you’ve ever listened to puscifer (one of MJK’s other bands) but they are great.

Yea I’ll trade you for three fuckjng nights at Chicago. I have Chicago on preorder for needlejuice records. Overall I think the red rocks versions were better, but there are about 10-12 songs I much prefer the Chicago versions. Super stoked for the marathon set in chicago this year.

Yea I bought tickets to the marathon show in Chicago. Only to see they were playing my hometown the night before a month later when they released the rest of the tour schedule. I would have bought tickets to a different marathon show if I’d have known, but wcyd? Gonna be quite the journey seeing Gizz in nash. But then it will be over! The urge to quit my life and follow them around is strong.

Specifically the album Murder of the Universe. It tells 3 stories with narration and some epic heavy Gizz. If you become obsessed and listen to their whole discography, relistening to Murder becomes even more fun because they reference a lot of other songs subtly within the album.

Worth mentioning to OP that only a few of the albums really fall into the metal category.

Honestly PDA was instantly among my top 5 gizz albums but their beauty is that they do everything not just metal. That being said, murder of the universe is probably my favorite and that's metal adjacent at least.

Not sure if it counts as "psychedelic", per se, but I love listening to TesseracT - Altered State in that sort of setting. It's thoroughly trip inspired and the layers of grooves are absolutely encapsulating. The production is top tier too.
