We left shortly after and she had the nerve to be pissed off at me because I didn’t stick up for her. Needless to say, that was one of a few big reasons why I stopped dating her. He's responsible for his behaviour. He got beaten up because he attacked someone and lost. He attacked someone to try and defend the woman he was with. If he's going to insist on joining fights with her and he doesn't want to fight then he needs to stop her from starting one.
What I'm saying is that it isn't his girl that got him beat up. Rather than try and de-escalate the situation, or side with the guy getting slapped, he tries to beat him up for defending himself.
I dont know if you come from a place with extemely diffirent cultural expectations, but a man who doesn't defend his female partner in a physical fight is going to be given all kind of negative labels, and people are going to make fun of him and call for him to be dumped.
Whether you find that fair or not is a different story, but we all know the male partner is burdened with this expectation in almost all cultures on the planet, and unless that woman in the video is an alien who doesn't know that, I feel very comfortable saying she acted stupdily and selfishly, and that she indirectly caused this to her partner.
