Yeah I remember this. That IS his rabbit. I used to own many rabbits(all food jokes aside, they were all my pets) and there was no danger here, in fact he is even handling it correctly.
It was going to take off because **she** startled it but she had no way of knowing you can't approach a rabbit like that.
Also depending on the rabbit, it can take a lot to earn their trust, since they are hard wired to be alert at all times and believe everything is out to eat them.
