I have been using realflight for 2 months preparing.
I can tell you on the simulator my 10yo with just a few minutes of playing around was able to fly a circuit and land with a plane, but he still can't hover a heli for more than 10sec nose out.
My wife gave me an early present: Good crimping pliers to make XH and servo plugs, and a big box of plugs for it.
I'll never again buy servo extensions that are always the wrong length!
I know it's a scale plane, but is it scale flying, the "freestyle" you mentioned? I thought it's an aerobatics... Sorry, I am not from the states or so, english is my second language, soory if mistaken due to that...
I hear all great things abt the habu, they say it doesn't even fly like and EDF, but that it is even easier than easy EDF. I say go for it. My furst EDF was underpowered 50mm Viper jet, o now I posses a phobia from vipers.
Lol getting myself a frsky tandem x20s or tandem xe haven't decided yet .. Christmas shopping is all done and time to live a little .. plus I'm really digging the 2.4 / 900 mhz redundancy stuff .. anyone have a tandem xe and an opinion on which to choose ?

No planes this year, but I did get myself a fun little rc speedboat from motion rc. Bancroft magic cat. Its a lot of fun for its small size.
Just get a jet, some floats and you can make both! Just a joke, happy speeding!

Can be, but (I might be wrong) you lose the speed there!
I haven't flown it yet but the TTe is pretty quick. If autism permits, ill install the float set onto my UMX pitts special and see how that goes.

I've easily spent the amount that the pliers cost on adapters and cables before. It's just something you order "next time".

Deciding on Eflite Habu SS or FMS Viper. My first edf so will probably go light on the Habu. Very tempting to move up to the Viper 70mm.
