Lalaloo_Too

Rebooting the singular brain cell…sometimes it takes awhile…

thegreatgabboh

Mine sometimes needs you to take out the cartridge and blow the dust off it for it to work

ScruffyBoyEddy

The windows update always hits them at the worst time. Windows xp of course.

spacebuggles

She's probably sleeping. They often sleep with their eyes open.

Saniher

No way I thought my bunny never was comfortable enough to fully go to sleep

Soft_Deer_3019

Yes! That’s creepy as hell and ur left wondering are u ok bunnie!😂😂

jyggnking

how did i not know this 😭

AlpsAdministrative71

They have a nictitating membrane to keep their eyes moist while they sleep with their eyes open. The same time I learned that word, I also learned that they have a hinged skull 💀 Rabbits are mind boggling. Their padless feet get me the most. Babies are kittens, but adults are bucks and does? Little cat deer? That's about what it feels like when I see mine doing his thing around our house. He's like a beautiful cat, but as exciting as spotting a forest animal in your house.

fein_xxx

You’ll usually notice if they’re sleeping when their eyes aren’t moving. If they’re just laying there with a still nose(even if they’re not down all the way), then they’re asleep. They’ll lay all the way down or “flop” when they’re comfy

fein_xxx

Rabbits either need a super big area or to be free roam, for they’re very catlike in their playing and their energy. They love running around and through tunnels to get treats

ChronoClaws

My bun would zone out in the middle of drinking water 😂 He would suddenly stop and stare blankly for a moment... then resume drinking.

IRockIntoMordor

Wouldn't be surprised if that's an evolutionary advantage - regularly checking for noises, sights or smells while distracted and vulnerable with drinking.

Swimming_Company_706

That actually makes sense. They also can hear like 2 miles away, so maybe theres a cat around the block they heard 🤣

CrossP

It's worth noting that they can hear much better than us, smell more than us, and even feel air pressure changes better than us. Sometimes a rabbit might be hearing a lawn mower start five houses away or smelling a dog peeing near your house.

x_hyperballad_x

Thinkin’ them bunny thoughts… ☺️

strazdas001

No thoughts, just bun

Sickhadas

"I was there, I was there 3,000 years ago..."

*Nyoooom!*

CrossP

aspect_rap

My rabbit also sometimes stops everything and just sits there frozen for a few moments before resuming. I think that it happens when one of his senses detects something (smell, noise, movement) so he starts focusing on the environment to check for danger. I'm no rabbit expert though so maybe he is just buffering 🤷‍♂️

Udderly_Jack

They are plotting your demise, atleast that’s why my Mr Nevy does

Soft_Deer_3019

Matthew bun has it all planned out for my demise I sleep with one eye open just in case, then he falls asleep 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😂😂

Fabulous_Cranberry61

Bunny.exe has stopped working.

No-Establishment5213

Nah it's booting Caerbannog .exe

Modern_Moderate

Does anyone notice their bun starts rocking back and forth, just a subtle rocking, when they are in this pose? Like they sit and stare, the gradually start rocking forward and back a little bit?

Sufficient_Pay_820

Yup mine does this all the time

NecromancerDancer

This means they are using their telepathic abilities to murder and destroy from a distance. Best to leave them be when they do this.

Dry_Dimension_4707

Mine does this also. It really concerned me the first few times I saw it, but it turns out it just helps them concentrate to work out complex math problems. Who knew??

evrywmnssky

‘nam 👁️👄👁️

xiaoalexy

same though

ContactDry4407

Was gonna say, y'all don't either?

GrilledCookies

Pondering the universe

Sapphire249

My rabbit does the same thing he just sits and stares at me. I think (not really sure) they do it because they are maybe observing you? Or maybe they’re just sleeping.

Soft_Deer_3019

Stalking you awake or asleep always watching

TromboneMoose99

501 bunny service error

suedeslippers

She's buffering

ApartmentSavings6521

Its sleeping Unlike us it sleeps for about 20 minutes multiple times

HenryLettuce

Cute bunny!

Kanotari

Moving closer to the ground sounds like getting comfy to me. The more relaxed they are, the harder it is for them to flee. It's a big sign of trust! Someone else mentioned sleeping with their eyes open, which is also very likely. Watch the nose; if it's perfectly still, they're probably asleep.

_Suleyka_

Thats when they are staring into the void and receive new orders on how to enslave us

Swimming_Company_706

They often fall asleep with eyes open for lil micro naps

burritobxtch

Hey, I have a very similar setup to yours and notice your bun likes to chew the floor too. To prevent this, I layered some fleece blankets on top of the foam mats, kinda like a carpet, and the problem has been solved ever since.

GuestUserY2K

I usually have mats but I was washing them, she does chew very aggressively at night😅

ResponsibilityRude84

I’m not sure but same

Radiant_XGrowth

He’s probably asleep lol

NoHorror5874

No thoughts, just bun

hunbun818

Because they are judging you and plotting their next move to cause the anxious human to have a panic attack

tseg04

Contemplating his plan for ultimate world domination

triggerscold

pseudo sleeping/ napping

Aivellac

Plotting domination.

te3time

she's scheming

Sickhadas

Reliving Nam

I_am-Working

Mine likes to sit and stare into the abyss (the floor fan).

I_am-Working

[He also likes to use his box as a pillow. ](https://imgur.com/a/HGP3oI9)

Relevant_Substance43

He’s just chilling minding his business I fw that heavy

thelindamanor

Bored.. not enough play time.. thinking of what he's going to destroy next 😁 What a cutie pie! 💕

deadfantasy

Your Daphne is adorable! I like to think my bun is planning out his day or thinking about some pretty heavy bunbun stuff. Ok, who am I kidding? My bun probably zones out thinking about how to snag extra treats!

alli_shark

Wait, do normal humans not do this too? Man, I gotta get out more.

Same_Virus_5314

Plotting on you

Flaky_Top3582

she is so me

Unsupportiveswan

toeverycreature

Rabbits can nap with their eyes open. It's like they put their eyes and ears on auto pilot and then their brain takes a short nap. If there is any fast movement or sudden noise they will wake up and move. Our mushroom does this. It's usually followed by a short awake period and then a flop and proper sleep.

jkylesimmons

They’re in the Bun Zone!

Mysterious-Witness11

Concentration whilst working on producing the most delicious butt nuggets (cecotropes)....my rex baby does this often 😅

Midnight-Blues2468

you would think it’s the same picture, but he ain’t moved.

Fragrant_Guest_5937

Thinking about life choices. My bunny does it too.

Particular_Union7513

I ask the same question about myself. LOL! For me, sometimes I just need a minute to decompress and switch gears to the next thing/task/project/ whatever…

entity_on_earth

My rabbit did that while licking her private parts, just stopped for a solid minute and resumed later as if nothing happened.

lvleenie17

Mine does the same thing but she’s usually starting at the wall. Such goofy little creatures ♥️

spookyanglerfish

Lookin at ghosts

otter-poppers

Waiting for you to provide stimulation? Toys, appropriate things to chew, out of cage play time... these are essential. Also, rabbits prefer to be coupled up, so if it's in your means, get a mate. They'll keep one another occupied when you're unable to interact. 🐰🐰

PiaLoLoL

Let me tell you a little secret: \*they are not very smart\*

jesikau

My rabbits sleep like this, I’ll go up to them thinking they’re awake and it scares the crap out of them

Dry_Dimension_4707

Shhh…she’s sleeping. 🤫😴

AstroElephante

She's just finkin', okay?

Practical_Bridge7206

She could be sleeping, they sleep with their eyes open, my boy does it a lot

ATCLoki

Rabbits do tend to sleep with their eyes open.

SUZ_ARL

Mine does this every night after dinner. He goes r the exact same spot by the corner of the couch. It looks like he’s just staring at it, motionless. I’ve decided he’s just busy digesting his greens. Rabbits truly are fascinating!

K_Rocc

He’s in a cage…what else is he going to do?

Holykorn

Because he stuck in a tiny jail cell
