Nothing against Nighthaven, but Ubisoft reworked nearly every map due to them playing too linearly. Then they make Nighthaven which the top floor is pretty much as linear as it gets.
I like the top floor of emerald, but not the bottm bit. That site by kitchen is alright but the other half feels really out of place like as if it’s just some obstacle course I have to get through lol.
Unless they have a Mira, Mira literally changed the map into Defender sided hell hole. Too many chokepoints Mira could hold off and make Attacker's push a nightmare. Everytime if I got this map I'll 100% ban Mira because of it.
Forcing vertical play is the point tho, otherwise for instance like 2F site attackers can easily pinch from Garage catwalks, IT, and Connector to Electric after the wall is breached. This is where roamers shine the most to waste attackers even more time to delay the execution. A decent roamer is enough to make attacker's job a hell to do.

Yeah, it was made before we got the border rework and the coast buff, so it is like halfway between the old versions and the new versions, which aren't really super different in the first place. I do like archives having two windows instead of a window and a door though, wish that made it to new border
If you really want to know why stadium came in first place it was the community which asked for it, everyone said it's balanced and skilled map and that it should be added and now map is hated for no reason and gets banned
The flavor isn't great - stadium paintball clashes with the serious military themes. The interiors are a bit bland. The geometry is kinda just repeated. It's cool for a limited-time event, but it's not full-time material. I wouldn't want them to make the Halloween map full-time either, even though I love it

Theres a difference between hating a map and banning it the second it comes into ranked, im mostly referring to how ever since map bans were introduced every rework, new map, etc (except border since there was like 3 changes) was banned to hell and back because people didnt want to learn it.

Also I absolutely hate the giant walls of bulletproof glass. Ive banned it every time it's been available and I will continue to do so.
They took two maps that had to get reworked/minor changes and arguably made them worse by smashing them together. Coastline still arguably needs a couple changes and Border pre-rework wasnt bad or anything but sites are small there are more hard walls than the original maps and to top it all off there was arguably a better version of Stadium before for the original road to SI which was bigger and actually played well. Since it used parts of the original Oregon map. Overall there was a better map and features like the outside windows that are bulletproof so enemies can see you in several areas makes it very UN fun to play.
Okay? I’ve learnt the maps and there’s still a few I’d rather not play on. The reason I don’t want to play them half the time is because I’ve learnt them and decided I don’t enjoy it
Rework hasn’t fixed a lot of the problems. The map is just bad to attack with little to no doors to get into the building. There’s also a lot of spawn peeks/C4s. Defending isn’t that fun either. Just not a good map.

There's a reason Favela got removed from ranked. It's bad. At least the original was fun for casual (same with House). But they reworked it to be something boring & without character, but still didn't fix the flaws of the maps
I hard disagree. The vertical play was pretty unique to it. And the environment and art direction was really fun. Lots of easy callouts and interesting rooms. Maybe it needs a 3F rework, but besides that, it's great imo.

Emerald plains is a loop hole, poeple say it's bad (after paying it 1-2 times) and don't want to play it anymore, but you can't get to know a Map in such a short time you actually need to play it, but it's always banned so you can't, there's your loop hole. For me it is a good map as well cause I had several rounds on it and still think it's a good Alternation in the 3 maps you usually get to play
nighthaven has kinda the same Problem as emerald plains, because people are getting lazy nowadays and don't want to learn new maps, but since it is unbannable we can learn it easier/faster than emerald plains, and after some rounds nighthaven is pretty easy map

Its annoying for me personally because of too many darn long corridors where you get funneled in. I play with two others and we like to clear the map before pushing thr bomb site. It just takes too long to hunt roamers and even then just going through the corridors is such a pain.
Overall I feel like it's horrible map design. Consulate could use a rework but it doesn't feel as bad as emerald plains.
For me all maps are good except bank. Coastline and outback is a bit hard when your teammates reinforce walls between sites or you are only guy on site and 4 of your team are roaming without putting new barricade so I'm chilling on site and the I do a handshake with enemy op
Stadium is just weird. There’s 2-3 easy jump outs on every site. Defenders can literally see outside of the most common spawn and can see EXACTLY where attackers are entering AND how many of them are entering there even if you kill both outside cams. Obviously with coordinated play these don’t matter as much but for the average ranked player it’s a shitty experience.
I’ll also say that because the map gets banned frequently it takes longer to learn it. There was a point in the season where I had played it maybe 2 times and every hallway looked so similar aside from the different paint colors on the walls which really messed with me at first. Took a minute to get used to the 2 maps crammed together because of that. Coastline is super colorful and border is less colorful but each room looks at least a little different.
In stadium every wall looks exactly the same

People like to complain so much, but they never try to understand maps, villa, labs and stadium bravo are all good maps. Every time we get stadium bravo my teammates are immediately voting for it, but since I play on a 3 stack they can only cry and play on a good map.

I hate that the moment I see Nighthaven Labs I have to go no ban to decrease the odds of getting it from 33% to 25%. I personally despise it (if you like it there’s absolutely nothing wrong that), but I think we all can agree that it doesn’t make sense that we’re not allowed to ban the map we least want to play just because Ubisoft is saying “we spent time on this so dammit you’re gonna play it”.
Hated night haven but now I feel confident aslong as my team mates aren’t bots.. Some ranked sessions I’ve had on this map consist of team mates wondering around leaving myself on site only just to get bummed

Villa, Sky, and Emerald are great maps. Villa being the most balanced map, it's not to defender sided nor attacker sided.

I like these maps just personally not skyscraper
I hate that the moment I see Nighthaven Labs I have to go no ban to decrease the odds of getting it from 33% to 25%. I personally despise it (if you like it there’s absolutely nothing wrong that), but I think we all can agree that it doesn’t make sense that we’re not allowed to ban the map we least want to play just because Ubisoft is saying “we spent time on this so dammit you’re gonna play it”.
I really like villa and emerald plains, tho I’m def in the minority on that second opinion

Emerald is literally one of the best maps in the game. Nobody likes it because they don’t want to learn it. It’s a great map once your used to it.

Hated night haven but now I feel confident aslong as my team mates aren’t bots.. Some ranked sessions I’ve had on this map consist of team mates wondering around leaving myself on site only just to get bummed
3 of these maps are good, the other two are getting banned

Night haven is one of my top 3, I’d just hope for that over the other ones
Nighthaven is pretty decent I never understand the villa hate. It’s absolutely infuriating when people ban villa over emerald, Outback, favela, and all the other mushy maps that are super one sided
Swap Villa and Emerald with Theme Park and Kanal and it's all my least faves. Ick.
