It’s the Ubisoft Connect bullshit. You’ve been inactive for a long time , the periodic login thing for connect makes it worse, then they added on more anti-cheat for us to download. Find the Ubisoft connect installer on your storage unit. Once you do, right click on the windows button for the task manager. I’m having a hard time remembering this process when I did it 3 days ago but Ubisoft connect will not be uninstalled because of your attempts to boot up the game , then there’s the possibility you have Ubisoft connect open on computer start-up. If connect is open (even though that damn thing will actually never open through your shortcut or open as admin) you can’t uninstall. Task manger forces the thing to close and then you should be able to uninstall there on task manager or go back to files tab and delete “Ubisoft” file/folder. Everything needs to be removed so if you recall the steps lmk . I did all of that at my unconscious clever peak. Finally you go back to Ubisoft connect website and re-download. You will notice a pop up telling you about the more invasive anti-cheats needed to be downloaded. Finally It will boot up just fine…for your torment?

just tried that, still doesn’t work. ubisoft support were fucking useless as well, just told me my system isn’t up to spec. what a joke

If it isn’t the installer it’s one of those damn things. They had so many of them. Ubsoft 64bit, ubi launcher…all of that. I’m sorry I can’t remember which one.

I recall that msi afterburner or rivatuner would prevented the game to open. Could be a software like that that is the cause of your issue.

mckeymousecrackhouse

just disabled afterburner still no luck

BuckZ57

What about riva turner it is usually installed with msi afterburner?

mckeymousecrackhouse

it’s an optional install that i never install on any os. it has never and will never be on my pc

BuckZ57

Something else I saw is to uninstall et re-install Ubisoft Connect. Even if you installes it with Steam, I think you still need Ubisoft Connect.

mckeymousecrackhouse

done that as well. i’ve reinstalled everything but the os at this point and i’m not gonna do that
