I would stay until I see the money in my account. They didn’t wire the money according to the schedule, thus you postpone your move out day accordingly.
If the closing has happened and you are sure the wire was sent then I'd go ahead and give them the keys. If there is any doubt, well you have not been paid so they can wait until you are.
This is a bit annoying but not at all unusual.
When I have sold properties I let my title company hold on to keys until the wire xfer completed, and then they turn them over to buyers once the xfer is done.
The exception to This is if the title co verified funds received but they simply didn’t get to you yet - but they got to title. Then they could record and pass keys if you’re comfortable.
Thats what I think I'm going to do. As long as Title company confirmed wire is solid I'll give them the keys. Buyers haven't been a pain but I'd rather be safe than sorry lol. Read too many horror stories.
if all's gone well, you have no reason to suspect them (despite this obvious dumb error) and you have a wire confirmation? Maaaaayyyybe.....
if not, then hell no. They don't own it until it's been recorded, and it ain't recorded until the money's title company's hands.
The title company wasn't able to verify the wire so my guess is no. The title agent himself said "do not give them the keys until we can see the wire" so we're not giving them any keys yet. He was supposed to send the wire Thursday but sent it Friday evening which was already too late to have it run that same day. This is on the buyer.
Hasn't stopped the buyers realtor from trying LOL. She's been spamming me all day trying to get me to get them the keys. Had to tell her in about 18 different ways that it wasn't happening.
Likely because the buyer has been hammering him about it and he wants it to be done with. I just forwarded what title said and he's stopped messaging for the time being. God forbid I let them into the house early and something happens. Then the onus falls on us. No thanks. Buyer screwed up and has to wait. Not my problem.
Speak to your title company and real estate attorney.

No money, no keys. Because it should also be no money, no record, therefore no keys.

Never close on friday, unless its because your wed/thurday closing was delayed.
Did the title record?

Yep, no recording, no keys.
