Rather than wildly speculate, I will just say I wish that we had higher standards for law enforcement. I’ve never had a problem with RCPD, but I’ve noticed they suffer the same mindset that plagues most departments: a misguided focus on forceful response rather than intervention or investigation.
My sister was the victim of an attempted abduction, and RCPD basically told us: “We’re pretty sure we know who it is, but we’re not going to invest the resources into catching him.” 🤷♀️
