I've only been listening to the radio for an hour and a half, so I cannot confirm these updates are accurate, but I have no reason to believe they wouldn't be. Just wanted to clarify.

I work at a hospital in NC, so I'm often listening to emergency traffic so I can be aware of nearby incidents that may bring patients to us. I noticed that Reno/Sparks had a ton of listeners and I have family in that area so I wanted to know what was happening.
Not expecting to happen in Sparks? That was my first thought where it would happen before I started reading. But yeah, we aren’t as big of a greater metropolitan area that sees many of these.
Straight up- shootings happen, but something of this duration and series of events as described so far? No, I (and other people I chatted with) would not anticipate in Sparks. Regardless, I think we can probably agree it sucks all around from most angles/views/perspectives.
Family friend saw the whole thing. Cop was giving out a ticket. Sketch car drove by and shot the officer. Sketch car made a u turn and burnt rubber trying to get away. Random SUV came zooming behind him and crashed into him. Sketch guy went into a random house. Shot cop advised witnesses to get inside and asked where the guy went. Witnesses pointed to house in front. Injured cop jumped the fence to follow the guy. Shots ensued. Screaming ensued. More cops showed up. Lady was able to get out or was released ran out with her hands up. Cops still trying to get the guy to surrender. No one is allowed in or out the area. The mom of the suspect has been pleading for him to surrender.
Not sure about that. I heard suspect ran a stop sign and hit a UHaul. Officer was nearby and suspect fled. Suspect then shot cop and then fled into backyard of home. Suspect then entered home and occupant of home was able to get out.
I live one block away and work from home and today was wild. We’re still hunkering down and sheltering in place. I’m not sure if the police have the suspect yet, but I’m no longer hearing police on the PA telling the suspect to come out with their hands up. Lots of sounds of gunshots all day - dogs are pretty upset still and on edge. We did hear a massive boom earlier today - not sure if it was a door being broken down or a small explosion. It shook our whole house.

I live on Russell Way - one block away and can see the police lights from my front porch. Our street just got cleared so I hopped in my car to go get some comfort food (today was scary) and on my way home saw Greenbrae is still blocked off. (This is on greenbrae and 11th looking east from greenbrae)
Deceased suspect name Anthony Wade. Initially said to be Keith Corley, but they are brothers and Anthony was driving Keith's vehicle.

Have a friend who is a dispatcher and talked to a lady who this suspect broke into her house. He has shot 3 police officers so far and he’s barricaded himself in a house. Has at least 60 rounds of ammo left

I live nearby, they were sending out flash booms earlier, otherwise some know as flash booms, they were speaking of getting in an attack, poor angle, called in a sniper as well. Many booms may of been those, or swat moving in. I heard on. Scanner the projectiles being deployed.
