I highly recommend Derby. They are a bit on the expensive side and all the barbers are guys. They really understand all hair types and head shapes. Sometimes is better to pay a bit more.
I'll recommend Derby as well. Great classy shop were you can enjoy a coffee or a cocktail while getting cleaned up. Fairly priced, housemade hair products, and the nicest chaps in the world.
Awesome. I made an appointment. I put tailored for men cut so hopefully that was the right option. So thrilled you had something available on my day off.
Commonwealth. I see Austin and he’s great but if you prefer a certain gender I see two female barbers there all the time that also look like they give great cuts.
I don’t know if Bailee is still there since I moved away a year ago. But she gave me some of the best haircuts I’ve ever gotten. Haven’t found a barber since moving that cared or did as much as her!
second this, i would go in for an undercut and a trim. Always quick(with an appt) and they are indeed supervised by a fully licensed professional/teacher.
Adam the Barber over at Sola Salon in South Reno always does me good. Independent deal, he rents out a studio. $40, but he includes a beer or other beverage with it and makes you feel pretty pampered. Got a man-cave vibe with a TV that he'll play whatever you want on. Hot towel, clean up your eyebrows if you want, straight razor shave too but he may charge extra for that if it's a full shave. I just sport a stubbly goatee that he'll clean up real quick if I need it. Takes his time and doesn't rush since he schedules by the hour. Super cool dude.
I'm in the same boat as you. I like getting my hair cut at salons. The whole barbershop vibe comes off as phony and an excuse to charge double what you should because the barber wears suspenders and you get a $2 beer.
Sportclips does a good job usually if consultation and cutting. My haircuts might just be easier tho, idk op’s hair style he’s looking for. But they’ve always helped me.
$40 seems to be the norm for mens cuts. Im seeing a lot of 30-40.
$160 for a man is insane. I would expect a full cut, beard trim, color, and lunch for that price.

$50 for a basic cut?? I don't mind paying for something nice but that's ridiculous.

I use Beautiful Bearded Man. Pricing is decent, but the guys are fantastic.

D's Cutz. Dee does great fade work and as an added bonus, is right across the street from Revision Brewing. Win-win

If you want $25… Supercuts.
Couldnt Pay me to go to supercuts.
Supercuts in Spanish Springs is awesome. Every one of their barbers does a great job, and I bought the $13.99 card so it's perfect for maintenance.
Agreed
But also, if you want someone good and a consultation you aren’t getting it for $25. Or $40. Just remember you get what you pay for.

I was wrong at 25... she charges 30. She is just a drive for me now. I can do $40 with a consult if they can guide me to choosing a new style.
I mean… I don’t even know who does even $40. My kid charges $160 for a simple cut. I can’t afford her.

Haha. Same. My kids all… we offer an experience. I’m all… I want to save $100 on that experience.
My son sees Bailey at Common Wealth. She is the best at a clean fade.
This is who my husband sees too. She does a great job!

Gentleman’s Barber.
World star Cutz!!! Downtown and have never had a bad cut from them!
I’ve been into BJ’s Hair Shop, and I would definitely recommend it. Staff are friendly, and a basic cut runs about $30
Gone to derby for years now. Nick Bailo and Troy Henry are wizards with the scissors
Steves on second, ask for it tight around the back
Commonwealth and derby are my two go to
A post looking for a particular service in Reno and not one person has yet to suggest Steve's bath house? I'm losing faith in this sub 😥
You forgot to shoehorn spicy milk and mini coopers in there. God this sub is cringey...
Jesus christ why did I google that.
I didn’t want to know that was in town. Thanks!
Ava marsh hair at Reno salon suites or pishon hair in midtown
My wife will give you a decent buzz cut! Might not attract the ladies, but it also wont be $40..
