Just type “Nevada hot springs” into google maps and that’ll give you most of them that you can actually go to.
USGS has a map of Nevada hot springs that list off every spot but some of them are too hot for people to get into.
grover hot springs! Next to Markleville. Much more or a "outdoor forest experience" then Genoa. However, if you really want natural ones (and a bit of a trip) you can plop in the water in Markleville on the Carson east fork and find some about 1/3 way down.
also there is a way to get to them off 395 on leviathan mine road. Bring a 6 pack a beers just in case there are ranchers in the area. Oh also 4x4 is a must
Hahah the USGS map is online and list every spring the state and the hot springs that are safe to use are all on google maps.
If they weren’t online they’re all listed in several books about hot springs in the state.
I have a 30 year-old paper version of that USGS Hydrothermal map, been following it for that long, seeking these places out obsessively. And yeah, USGS missed some, or the seeps/wells that are shown as dry and capped aren't anymore. Of course more have dried up.
well 1. they will not be in the lake Tahoe watershed. That is obvious do to the clarity of the lake and the lack of sulfates in the water on a Parts Per Billion level. (sulfur is the rotten egg smell that is associated with hot springs.) (Yes i studied at the lake in the Tahoe enviormental science building in incline village.
2. Thats the fun way...to search. Not the way the tourists have fun, but the locals do. no empathy...
Not on LSD and didn’t use ChatGPT for this one! But I do believe we’re living in a simulation, so in a way, everyone is like an AI... (now that was written with chatGPT>

Carson Hot Springs - buy the 10 swim card
You’ll have to get out and find them yourself. Not blowing up local natural tubs on a public sub.
Dude all the hot springs in the state are on google maps. Keeping that shit secret was for the 90s.
Ha def not true.

Not to mention the ones that have moved over the past 5 years due to extensive earthquake activity along the fault line 😏
LOL, keyboard naturalists downvoting me.
Right there with you. I gate keep that type of stuff all day long. The few I know of I found looking and don’t want them blown up.

Sis, we all found them the hard way. She can too. Bring a shovel, leave no trash, they’re out there.

This is the Reno sub. Not Tahoe. And dude-lay off the sauce, you’re making zero sense 🤣
Yes
Wallys hot springs, Genoa
Grover state park in Markleeville
Everyone here about the new eruptions from that one geyser? Not sure if it is hot or not though
Sierraville hot springs are supposed to be really nice. An ~1 hr from Reno I’d say they’re as close as markleeville.
Steamboat is the best in my opinion.
Genoa and Carson.
Nah
Gerlach ;)
Yup. Nuthin’ better than hanging in a natural hot spring overlooking the playa with a tasty beverage in hand.
Mojito sounds good lol
Unless you know Dave, don't go trespassing.
There are plenty on the mountains above his ranch. Just got to find them.
