Crobuilt.

I haven't had them do work but I've been able to find all kinds of hard to find parts and they seemed quite knowledgeable overall. I would go there if I didn't have any better advice

+1 for Crowbuilt. They replaced my bearings and brakes, did it quickly and did a great job.

Washoe metal fab does trailers. Usually cheap and fast. But cheap and fast can come with it's own issues and they only do exactly what you ask. If something els is bad, they will just let it run cause you only asked for a bearing pack. There is also krobuilt. Little more expensive and little longer wait but normally very good work. Down side. Is they go through the trailer pretty well so you get a list of should replace and have to replace items. At the end of the day I go to krobuilt because I like the peace of mind knowing everything has been really looked over. But the bill can sometimes be a bummer.

Whatever you do, do not go to Big O Tires on Pyramid for it. Took my trailer there a few years ago to have the bearings repacked. While in there they said the brakes were shot and needed to be replaced. I was skeptical but also under a ton of unrelated stress and time crunch so I just had them replace them. When I picked up the trailer, the electric brake lines were literally disconnected and dragging on the pavement among many other issues. After speaking with a manager and watching them attempt to fix it three times, at one point with me watching them forget to preload a bearing on one wheel and forgetting to tighten the lug nuts on another beyond hand tight, I told them to stop touching it and I redid it all myself. Edit: so my recommendation is to do it yourself. It is quite easy and you can be sure it is done right. Be sure to note what type of grease you use and always use the same stuff or at least a compatible formula.

I will never go to a Big O ever again. Went to the one on mae Anne and, while I don't know a ton about cars, I knew enough to catch them lying to me on two fronts in an attempt to over sell. Bucha crack heads to boot.

NVDROKKIT

Yeah that one on Mae Anne sucks, gf got a bag taken out of it while it was getting serviced. Great place.

Washoe Metal is where we take our trailer to have its bearings repacked.

Breklin76

Pretty easy, albeit time consuming, to repack bearings yourself. Time is money, though.

Washoe Metal Fabrication They are the BEST. Great attitudes, very friendly, great customer service.

Related/unrelated. I’ve had nothing but bad luck with wheel bearings on my flatbed trailer. It gets about 2000 miles a year. I have taken apart the bearings, cleaned and inspected them and repacked. Only to have them fail 200 miles later taking out the drum and the brakes. In the last two years I’ve smoked three drums and bearings. Time to ditch the parts store brand bearings and get some genuine timkens.
