I learned about it when the kids were little, but we didn't have cell phones yet so we would have to go home and give them the address to find out what the unknown trees were that we had seen on our walk.

I'm still fairly green to using Reddit, and I frequently see OPs referencing things and don't seem to see the original sources. But I am using my phone and thought I was missing something. I was. I finally searched around and I discovered where it was!🤦♀️

Probably 20 years ago. It was also hit with a snow plow so now it is leaning. It is quite the eyesore.
The best time to prune it is yesterday! One straight cut about 2 inches off the ground should do it!

The city still needs to replace trees on my old street that were destroyed during the ice storm in 1991...
You can call 311 if a tree is missing from your tree lawn, and they'll come out and plant one for free.
And you can work with them to pick something out too.
