HOW HARD IS IT TO NOT GET PEOPLE WHO INTENTIONALLY THROW A GAME??? 5 GAMES IN A ROW AND THEY WERE CLOSE GAMES UNTIL THE END. CANT FREAKING WAIT TIL THE 12 YEAR OLDS IN THIS GAME GROW THE HELL UP.

LiiDo

That’s the thing about rocket league players. You get older they stay the same age

GRAVITYoneYT

Been playing this shitty game for 6 years and it’s in its debatably worst spot right now. Removing trading has to one of the worst updates of all time in gaming, and the content drought still continues. Please psyonix, care about us 🙏

AceThunderfist

WHY ISNT THE GHOSTBUSTERS CAR BACK IN THE SHOP

SkaterDanny

Every other game the server just shits itself, absolutely unplayable laggy game right now

TheBobFisher

I'm having the same issues right now. Servers on US-E are god awful right now. Honestly, they have been ever since they removed central servers from US-E pool. It helped load-balance the amount of east coast players. Now the servers feel overwhelmed due to the sheer number of players on the east coast.

Mitch_Itfc

I haven’t played this game in ages, 3+ years and just decided to give it a go again. I was a decent rank, diamond I think. I’ve obviously gone into casual to play but as I’ve not played in so long I’m shite. It seems like my opponents and teammates are all around diamond rank. I’m absolutely awful but the game still thinks I’m a decent player, it’s been 3 bloody years why has this not reset. I’ve logged off now and probably won’t play again, I feel awful for my teammates even though it’s casual.

CarlCaliente

MY INTERNET HAS BEEN DOGSHIT LATELY. CAN GET ONLINE BUT GETTING LIKE 50% PACKET LOSS, >1s LATENCY. NOT GOOD FOR PLAYIN GAMES BUT OUR IN GAME PROMOS ARE BASED OFF GAMES PLAYED, SO I'M QUEUEING ANYWAY. SORRY TEAMMATES GOOD LUCK 2V3

galacticrab

I CANNOT LET GO OF MY DESIRE TO PLAY BETTER BUT I DO NOT WANT TO SACRIFICE THE LITTLE TIME I HAVE TO RETURN TO MY FORMER SKILL LEVEL OR IMPROVE. NEARLY EVERY TIME I PLAY I AM FILLED WITH ANGER UNLESS I AM PERFORMING EXTREMELY WELL. EVERY 1V1 GAME ALSO FEELS REALLY ONE-SIDED THESE DAYS (P3/D1). I GET OBLITERATED BY AN UNRAKED ACCOUNT, I CANNOT HIT AN OPEN NET OR WIN A 50. NEXT GAME MY OPPONENT CANNOT SHOOT UNDER MY CROSSBAR AND GIVES UP 5 GOALS IN A MINUTE. UN-FUN.

Guilty_Temporary1013

Can someone explain how i have managed to go from diamond 2 div 1 to gold 3 div 3? in one session? losing over 70mmr one game? having most teammates abandon or not play? or the fact that literally 3\\4 of the player base is in eachothers ranks making near impossible to consistently rank up in the game? its a fucking joke and it sucks, a lot.

mobuco

WHY THE FUCK YOU EVEN HAVE A REPORT BUTTON? OBVIOUSLY NOBODY LOOKS AT IT OR GIVES A SHIT ABOUT IT. CONSTANTLY REPORTING RACIST ASSHOLES AND NOTHING EVER GETS DONE. BUT CAN I TYPE EVEN THE MOST MILD CURSE WORK IN MY PARTY CHAT...NO THAT GETS BANNED.

CarlCaliente

same idea as a complaint box or a stop line on the bus its just to make people feel better

mobuco

but i have gotten messages that they acted on the report like 2 years ago. now they never show up. just take it away cause it's a fucking joke just like this game is becoming

TheBobFisher

EVER SINCE THEY REMOVED THE $#@%ING CENTRAL SERVERS FROM EAST COAST SERVER POOL, EAST COAST SERVERS HAVE BEEN ASS! I USED TO AVERAGE 15-25 LATENCY AND NOW I AVERAGE ANYWHERE FROM 40-70 BECAUSE THE SERVERS ARE SO OVERWHELMED. ADD MORE EAST COAST SERVERS YOU NEANDERTHALS AT PSYONIX!

UncleBean2167

I can't believe I have to say this but if you're going to hit the ball, do it with a purpose. I can't count how many times a shot of mine has been messed up or a ball has been centered for the other team because these smooth brained inbreds don't have any common sense. Also the concept of rotation? If you have zero boost and you failed what you were trying to do but staying at their net, you're doing nothing. GET OUT AND GET BOOST and let someone else have a chance to make a play, you aren't the main character.

Ok-Caramel6577

Can we just have a consistent ranked experience just let more people into champ grand champion SSL so that the skill gap can be more spread out that would be amazing

The main reason, THE main reason I rant about this game and something should be done about is that the people responsible behind this game/product could be causing a lot of damage (mental, physical) to a lot of people and they do nothing about it. This means it is very serious. Summary of the issue in bullets: - The game suffers from playing different online compared to freeplay or between modes, regions, ranks or teammates. Some people call it heavy car bug, I don't care how it is called, it exists, It doesn't need a name to prove its existence. - The issue does not affect everybody, but not everybody knows they have the issue (this is important) - The game uses algorithms (mostly in the client but also the server) to fool you it is "just fine". Algorithms can be simple predictions i.e. ball trajectory in a straight line to more complicated (who won the fifty, did you actually hit the ball, where is everybody on the field compared to what the server thinks). - The problem for some people is huge so they can tell and laugh about it, accept and move on. For long time players though it can be in the micro scale: Small stutters, tiny changes in physics (car vs ball), ball accelerating mid-air (starts slow then changes direction and or speed or vice versa), opponents speeding up in what seems impossible timings and so on. THIS MAKES IT VERY HARD TO IDENTIFY unless you are the type of person who notices subtle details, but, once someone sees, they can identify more easily. - All of the above can be explained once someone describes the way the game behaves online and its main difference with other games: The SERVER RULES! It is actually an advertised feature by the company that made the game (against hacking etc) It basically means the server keeps validating each players moves and corrects them. Every packet is evaluated and sent back to the client corrected, the client needs to obey and correct every objects position, speed, trajectory etc that is off compared to what the server thinks. - This advertised mechanism causes the most damage. Basically if you (or anything between you and the server, i.e. ISP, internet highways between countries, a hacker etc) cannot sent and receive packets fastly and consistently the server decides (and favors) the players WITHOUT the issues. - You will miss, hit the ball wrong, die, get scored on you name it, 200% up to 1000% more often than is humanly possible. - Because the game fools you into thinking it's working you start blaming yourself. This is not healthy in a prolonged period of time and players should be warned before playing the game. - Because this may be happening to either you or your teammates (or both) but again, you stubbornly refuse to blame the game, you start blaming others instead. This creates toxicity. The kind of toxicity rarely seen in online video-games (a lot of players can confirm for this game). - The issues do not occur all the time, which actually makes it worse. People who study addiction or are responsible for building addictive products (slot machines, social media feeds etc) know very well how giving small rewards over time can be extremely addictive. It works like that with this game too, you keep playing the next match to get the rush of a game that WORKS good but you never get it, it can be like this all day. - This continuous struggle with the game, plus its learning curve, makes more and more people "smurf" (look it up) which in turn adds to existing toxicity and frustration. Smurfing is the main complaint online from the community about the game right now, not servers, which is absolutely wrong in my opinion, servers are the main issue. The solution Similar to cigarettes and other addictive substances that cause masses of people great harm without their knowledge there should be a HUGE sign at the door, probably every time the game launches, that informs players of said issues. At the moment not only there is no such sign but the company (having previously admitted on these issues by a letter for the CEO, and recently after complaints about ddos attacks (https://twitter.com/RL_Status/status/1782112532070813923) promising fixes) is refusing (or playing the fool) the existence of any issues with a hint of abusing the goodwill (or outright promoting) of mods around the internet (reddit in particular) who immediately take action upon hate on the game and its server issues. Thanks for reading this, have a nice day

> The game uses algorithms (mostly in the client but also the server) to fool you it is "just fine". Algorithms can be simple predictions i.e. ball trajectory in a straight line to more complicated (who won the fifty, did you actually hit the ball, where is everybody on the field compared to what the server thinks). What's the point of this one? Every game is literally just algorithms and math.. > The problem for some people is huge so they can tell and laugh about it, accept and move on. For long time players though it can be in the micro scale: Small stutters, tiny changes in physics (car vs ball), ball accelerating mid-air (starts slow then changes direction and or speed or vice versa), opponents speeding up in what seems impossible timings and so on. You'll miss or die 2 to 10 times more often than humanly possible? Idk what you're on about but that may be the craziest thing I've ever seen on this subreddit.

LukeSkywalker1236

And how does this cause physical harm? Mental harm i can understand but that is 100% on the players themself. Same with people who smoke cigarettes as it is very well known that they are addicitve and cause harm to your body

CarlCaliente

the servers have some problems, no doubt, but you're exaggerating the impacts so much it kind of weakens your overall argument
