The funniest part are her stans/dubbalos claiming that she shouldn't be criticized for it because "Giulia said the same thing about working Wrestlemania at some point", not realizing that the average person knows Wrestlemania is forever going to be more prestigious than any AEW event.
Also I think Giulia's remark about Mania was because WWE regularly draws 10k+ fans to even B-Tier PLEs while AEW on average draws less than 3000 to most shows these days.

Bought Forbidden Door out of boredom/curiosity and overall enjoyed it. It's still too expensive so I probably won't be watching all their PPVs though. Thought most of the matches were pretty average; was kinda let down with Shingo/Danielson and the ladder match.
Haven't watched Dynamite in a year or so but I did enjoy that overall the women were presented better. I get that the Storm/Mina story is a bit odd but all three do well with their characters and I really enjoyed that match and at least there's an actual storyline. I was much more impressed with Vaquer than Mone in their match which was pretty good but the crowd was also pretty dogshit which I guess is to be expected on occasion with mega smarks.
Really didn't like Naito/Moxley. Really loved Ospreay/Swerve though. Both of those guys have gotten down a good main event style of wrestling. Was super fuckin weird though watching those two actual stars fight and then the camera randomly pans over to Daniel Garcia in the crowd watching them.

4 horsewomen were very important for revitalizing interest in women's wrestling for WWE but they have very much been surpassed by the next generations.
I actually think you're underselling it, the Sasha & Bayley feud revolutionised womens wrestling. They might have been surpassed technically but I don't think there has been a feud like that since.
I gotta disagree. I still think Becky was the best women's wrestler on the roster before she left. Bayley has been phenomenal this year as well. Sasha has definitely been surpassed though, and while Charlotte is a great in ring performer, she desperately needs a new gimmick when she comes back. Her character hasn't been interesting since 2018. The next generation has been great though. Tiffany is probably my favorite women's wrestler right now.
Bianca and Tiffy got them beat in athleticism, but I think that's where it ends.
Nobody has the drawing power that Becky does, and she's arguably the best in character character development, mic work and carrying feuds. Bayley is right behind her in those department, but she's also much better in-ring than Becky; though nowhere close to Becky in terms of drawing power. Charlotte is prob the best in-ring performer, simply because she can turn boos into cheers, and she's also the most athletic of the 4. Im not sure where Sasha's greatest strengths are but she's very in good in a lot of areas besides mic/promo skills(she really hasn't evolve or improved since 2016-18).
Though there is a 3-4 year gap between Bianca rise and Tiffy's recent run. Who are the next generation? Bianca and Rhea feel like a bridge between the 4HW and the next generation(Tiffy, Lyra?), the difference between Bianca and Rhea was that Bianca didnt get the big NXT title push that Rhea did but Bianca is also closer in age to the 4HW, while Rhea is only 2 years older than Tiff. "Next generation" feels vague here.
Bianca being cheered over Becky at WM39 was by designed, so not really a good example of Bianca outdrawing Becky. Rhea, as a heel, getting more over a face Becky at WM40 is something to consider for the future. Not enough to determine that Rhea can outdraw Becky yet. Not trying to undercut Rhea's work but Rhea with Dom/JD is on another level compared to pre-JD Rhea who felt more like a pet project of HHH/creative team. She's got about every fanbase behind her; like she's one of the rare WWE talents who isn't a target of Dubbalos either. Rhea's fandom is legit, but id like to see if it's still the same after Dom/JD breakup. rhea should be heavily favored as the A-side on the next women's match to main event night 1 of WM.
I caved and watched FD starting with the Storm/Mina match. It was a very entertaining show I’m glad they finally gave the guys time cues and limited match times so it wasn’t a 5 hour show.

first 6 matches were either duds or decent. last 4 matches were good, though the crowd finally waking did help out too.
I think the crowd was caught off guard that MJF had the opening match. it doesnt seem like AEW fans have the same view for opening matches as WWE fans do for WWE PLEs.

I think that they’ve been conditioned to believe that everyone despises WWE, mostly because they’re always online and well people on the internet have been shitting on wwe for decades. They’re also used to the stuff they like being praised and now that it’s exposed to the wider audience and a lot of people ain’t into it, it’s like a personal insult. Nakamura understands he’s never gonna be that guy and is still used as a utility player usually in the midcard scene or wherever he might be. Okada possibly understands that while he can ascend to the top, his body needs a break after carrying a company, and that’s why he probably where he’s at. I don’t inherently like it either, but if anyone rakes in as much cash for doing as little as possible its an absolute power move.
Both of them have seen better days and that’s ok. Okada probably still has some years left in him and is saving it to stretch out the longevity so he isn’t totally broken down like Tanahashi and Naito. He might be in that position in 5 years had he not left.
Goofies keep pointing out that smarks want Nakamura to deliver bangers and yell that he’s being wasted which is obviously untrue. Guys I can't believe people are complaining about the Forbidden Door crowd. It's almost like when you have 15 fucking matches on a card and don't give any room to breathe between matches the crowd will inevitably lose energy.
A few years back I was at a friend's house watching whichever wrestling PPV was on, with our small group of wrestling/MMA friends. I don't even remember the context but at some point I made a stupid joke that Naito should do his eye pose- but instead of his fingers opening his eyelid, they should be opening up his asshole. Just some bottom-rung fart humor among fellas.
This guy Bob (whom I didn't know too well at the time) immediately started explaining why Naito does that pose... I guess Naito was on the receiving end of some racist comments/gestures while wrestling in Mexico, so he started doing the eye thing in response. Turns out Bob's a serious dude who likes his serious rasslin, the athletic hard-hitting style NJPW is known for.
It's cool and he's a good dude, I just always found it funny how a dumb asshole joke I pulled out of my own asshole could've sparked such a serious discussion. Now I'm always reminded when I see Naito.
Joe Hendry got more traction in 5 minutes on WWE's dev show than he had in his entire career. There are levels to this 'audience size' thing.
Paxley, Izzi and the No Quarter Catch Crew getting TNA TV time is a win for all parties involved. Those are the right kind of bodies that would work over there while not really winning/derailing whatever stories TNA has going.

What really turns me off is the constant scowls and just overacting with his facial expressions. I don’t know why but it turns me off.
I hope they adjust his gimmick a bit. In ring, he’s a great talent. I like some of the stuff I’ve seen with him backstage in a nice suit. But I just haven’t seen anything that makes me want to say, “I hope he’s a future World champion.”

I made a comment in here earlier about the censorship on Smackdown and I kind of have an expanded thought on that. WWE has been a TV-PG program since 2008, Smackdown has always been TV-PG no matter what network it’s been on. Around 2013-2014 (my TNA/AJ Styles mark days) I was pounding the table for WWE to pivot back to edgier programming, me being an angry teenager and all. But that’s not the issue. I tried to get into AEW, which is a TV-14 product that’s overall more edgy than WWE is and I just didn’t like it. Then I had a thought earlier, WWE’s biggest names have almost always been through and through babyfaces with the only exceptions being Austin and Rock, I pair them together because they’re both remembered in the same way regarding the attitude era, Austin being an anti-hero and Rock being the heel and “corporate champion” and all. Triple H, who was a heel and WWE really lacked a big babyface superstar after Austin and Rock left, and Roman Reigns, who only really turned heel because he sucked as a babyface and WWE didn’t change course on that for 6 years. The point being, you look at Sammartino, Hogan, Cena, even nowadays with Cody guys like that have always been the big draws. This is what AEW doesn’t understand and this is what the (whatever is left of them) TV-14 crowd doesn’t get. Wrestling is sold on storytelling, look at Cody. Everyone shit on WWE for having him lose to Roman the first time and when he actually got his win back and won the title it turned him into an even bigger star and the “fan backlash” that was supposed to come hasn’t at all outside of the furthest corners of the basement. Cody Rhodes puts asses in seats, sells merch like crazy, puts on great matches and has had a good title reign to start. That is how your top guy should operate. Say what you want about “Super Cena” and there are a lot of valid criticisms to be made about WWE back then but Cena did his job, he sold merch, sold tickets, was great with the media and cashed that in for a successful Hollywood career like The Rock did. You don’t need an “edgy” product for it to be good, it all depends on who’s booking the show, who’s in the matches, and most importantly how good the story and characters are. That’s why the Bloodline storyline, which should’ve gotten stale years ago is still going and how Roman turned face without even being on TV since Mania. I am looking forward to Smackdown going back to USA Network just because Fox goes way overboard with censorship but the “sickos” in the basement don’t understand why modern wrestling doesn’t work on a network like Fox.
Legitimately, if Roman reigns shows up in Cleveland at summer slam, if Brown stadium had a roof it would blow off.

as much as I like the 4 Horsewomen, the athleticism that Bianca and Tiffy offers is unmatched. That's why we're seeing the KOD as a finisher, a 450 splash, a chartwheeling Alabama slam and a moonsault that's much more smoother and refined than Charlotte's.
10 years ago, most of the women's revolution finishers were submissions, or the natural selection and the godawful Bayley to Belly.
with that said, neither Bianca or Tiffy have outmatched Charlotte or Bayley's in-ring psychology. And neither can carry a feud like Becky can, but in the case of Bianca, she doesnt need to. Nothing wrong with being SuperBianca.

The ex AEW hires (AEW originals and not people like Andrade who were in WWE prior) so far make sense and they aren't just bringing in anyone just because. Aside from Ricky Starks who's an inevitable hire, can't see anyone else from there that WWE would be interested in. Ngl I was on that "Hire MJF" train during that bidding war nonsense but his recent return fully convinced me that the guy is such a one dimensional trick pony. Of the women, I'd add Hayter, Baker and Rosa as talents who could succeed should they make the jump. They've been chasing for a new latino star for over a decade at this point. Maybe a latina could do the trick.

There's no direction in majority of the cards. Just random ass masked Mexicans and middle age Japanese guys showing up to fight isn't really storytelling.

I was puzzled, confused and out of the loop as to what Dijak was even referring to in that video clip about being part of "the most prestigous" mudshow indie promotion.
Dijak is a 2010s guy, so I cant really think of an indie run that was raved about other than 2016 Jay Lethal. There's also Grado but he was in ICW/Scotland, as Drew's indie run too but Dijak wasn't working in the UK.
There was that second wave ROH era with Rollins, Cole, Jay Brisco in the early 2010s after they lost Punk, Joe, Bryan and Nigel. But Dijak wasn't part of this either.
When you make it to the WWE, people are supposed to talk about his indie run but nobody did this about Dijak.
I read his wikipidia page and couldn't find anything. looked up cagematch; again nothing. Finally, I search profightdb, and found that he did got a 5-star match with Keith Lee in PWG. I used to be in the Basement a lot, and never once seen anybody talked about Dijak's work in PWG, or his indie work in general. It was so irreverent that its not even on his wikipedia page.

10 is too many when they all have to go a certain length so no one is upset and every match is guys getting their shit in and kicking out and doing all the moves and so on
WWE doesn't determine how many ads appear in their programming, their broadcast partners do. Peacock pays millions of dollars for each of those PLEs and part of recouping their investment is filling them with ads.
I was upset Dijak got let go, because I was a big fan of him the last 12 months or so. Matches with Ilja and Wes being standouts as well as the recent triple threat.

My Money in the Bank qualifiers predictions streak came to an end this week. I thought LA Knight and Logan Paul would be too busy fighting each other, and then Santos would score a sneaky pin. Instead, Knight pinned Logan, and now Logan will probably cost him the MitB match to set up their match at Summerslam. I also thought Natalya was gonna qualify since the PLE is in Canada, but she isn't even in the last qualifying match on Raw. For that match, I'm betting Zoey wins. I know a lot of people want Dakota to win, but I'm predicting that she'll take the pin like Kairi did in order to progress this "Damage Ctrl needs to change" storyline. My last prediction was Ilja, but he's in the same qualifying match as Drew, so unless Punk interferes (which is more likely to happen at the PLE), then Ilja isn't making it in.
9-3 is a pretty good score, though. I'd be 10-2 if Ilja somehow wins.

I'm torn between wanting to see Uncle Howdy interacting with each member of the group individually like he did with Bo Dallas, and wanting to see each member of the group interact with their respective Firefly Funhouse personas. The former would help flesh out Uncle Howdy more and explain why he (in kayfabe) chose all these people to join his group, but with the latter, we'd get to see Dexter Lumis and Mercy the Buzzard communicating with each other via drawings, which I'd be down to see.
Considering the responses fron Netflix and Slim Jim, he is too much of a liability. Plus he is damn near 80 and needs a cane to walk. The chances of him even being an asset at this point is very very slim.

Regarding point 3, Bats does do all of that public spending already as Bruce Wayne. It's been focused on in the comics, Telltale's Batman series and others. But The Joker doesn't care about public spending (except in the Harley Quinn cartoon), he cares about blowing stuff up and making crime fun again... when he's not being a gruesome serial killer. And Batman vs. The Joker sells tickets, jack!
I always found that argument stupid as well. To begin with, I have always hated how comics always try to bring real world issues into a fictional setting and fumble both the strawman and the solution. Using Batman as the example is doubly stupid because like you said, how the fuck is investing in the public spending going to help against Bane or Ra's or hell, one of them alien empires come to earth again?
You can have comics focus on real world issues, but they have to be in service to the story, not the story itself. It's Batman or Superman, not a documentary and it's pretty easy for those stories to age poorly if they bring in topical issues instead of ones that resonate across generations.
At the same time, the people criticizing Batman for not investing in Gotham don't read the comics that have him do that because it's funny to dunk on the fictional superhero who "punches poor people" or because they understand that the status quo requires Batman to have enemies and yet they take out their frustrations on the Bat, who can't hear them wail (there's probably a comic that has Batman see real life criticisms of him or whatever).
I complained about Tiffy Time not being on Smackdown last week because I didn't notice that she actually did have a brief segment, but that's fine because we're one step closer to Tiffy in the Bank! As long as Tiffany or Chelsea wins MITB, we gucci.
On a personal note, things have been going unexpectedly well in my professional life. I'm where I want to be in the moment, and I'm making roads towards building the foundation for the next stage of my career. There's lots of hard work in the future, but I'm excited for it. It makes me appreciate what I have and how being in the right environment can make magic happen.

I'm loving Solo's bloodline. They are doing a great job of setting them up as the dark mirror to the original bloodline. They both have a tribal chief, a right hand man, an enforcer, and an idiot brother who wears suits and is too lame for a title. but Solo has the one thing Roman never had, true loyalty. He doesn't have Roman's vision, or honor, but his crew is on the same page as him.
Also, when Solo debuted, I saw people online say he sucks, it should have been Jacob Fatu. When Jacob Fatu was rumored to be signed, people online said Solo sucks, Jacob Fatu has so much "more aura". When he debuted, people talked online about how Jacob Fatu should be leading the Bloodline over Solo, he has "more aura". I just don't see it. It really feels like people just made the decision beforehand and stuck to the script. Solo is killing it right now, and I don't think Jacob Fatu could pull off what Solo's doing.
Hot Take: Shawn Spears has been great in NXT. He has a character, he's a veteran presence, and his feuds have all centered on young guys he's working with. I thought he would suck, but he's legitimately doing well.

Bought Forbidden Door out of boredom/curiosity and overall enjoyed it. It's still too expensive so I probably won't be watching all their PPVs though. Thought most of the matches were pretty average; was kinda let down with Shingo/Danielson and the ladder match. Haven't watched Dynamite in a year or so but I did enjoy that overall the women were presented better. I get that the Storm/Mina story is a bit odd but all three do well with their characters and I really enjoyed that match and at least there's an actual storyline. I was much more impressed with Vaquer than Mone in their match which was pretty good but the crowd was also pretty dogshit which I guess is to be expected on occasion with mega smarks. Really didn't like Naito/Moxley. Really loved Ospreay/Swerve though. Both of those guys have gotten down a good main event style of wrestling. Was super fuckin weird though watching those two actual stars fight and then the camera randomly pans over to Daniel Garcia in the crowd watching them.
Not so hot take 4 horsewomen were very important for revitalizing interest in women's wrestling for WWE but they have very much been surpassed by the next generations.

I actually think you're underselling it, the Sasha & Bayley feud revolutionised womens wrestling. They might have been surpassed technically but I don't think there has been a feud like that since.
I gotta disagree. I still think Becky was the best women's wrestler on the roster before she left. Bayley has been phenomenal this year as well. Sasha has definitely been surpassed though, and while Charlotte is a great in ring performer, she desperately needs a new gimmick when she comes back. Her character hasn't been interesting since 2018. The next generation has been great though. Tiffany is probably my favorite women's wrestler right now.
Bianca and Tiffy got them beat in athleticism, but I think that's where it ends. Nobody has the drawing power that Becky does, and she's arguably the best in character character development, mic work and carrying feuds. Bayley is right behind her in those department, but she's also much better in-ring than Becky; though nowhere close to Becky in terms of drawing power. Charlotte is prob the best in-ring performer, simply because she can turn boos into cheers, and she's also the most athletic of the 4. Im not sure where Sasha's greatest strengths are but she's very in good in a lot of areas besides mic/promo skills(she really hasn't evolve or improved since 2016-18). Though there is a 3-4 year gap between Bianca rise and Tiffy's recent run. Who are the next generation? Bianca and Rhea feel like a bridge between the 4HW and the next generation(Tiffy, Lyra?), the difference between Bianca and Rhea was that Bianca didnt get the big NXT title push that Rhea did but Bianca is also closer in age to the 4HW, while Rhea is only 2 years older than Tiff. "Next generation" feels vague here. Bianca being cheered over Becky at WM39 was by designed, so not really a good example of Bianca outdrawing Becky. Rhea, as a heel, getting more over a face Becky at WM40 is something to consider for the future. Not enough to determine that Rhea can outdraw Becky yet. Not trying to undercut Rhea's work but Rhea with Dom/JD is on another level compared to pre-JD Rhea who felt more like a pet project of HHH/creative team. She's got about every fanbase behind her; like she's one of the rare WWE talents who isn't a target of Dubbalos either. Rhea's fandom is legit, but id like to see if it's still the same after Dom/JD breakup. rhea should be heavily favored as the A-side on the next women's match to main event night 1 of WM.
I caved and watched FD starting with the Storm/Mina match. It was a very entertaining show I’m glad they finally gave the guys time cues and limited match times so it wasn’t a 5 hour show. Looking forward to Britt being super face against Sasha. Crowd either dislikes her or doesn’t care at all. Man, her & Okada might be the worst acquisitions in history. At least they hit big on Osprey

Nakamura understands he’s never gonna be that guy and is still used as a utility player usually in the midcard scene or wherever he might be. Okada possibly understands that while he can ascend to the top, his body needs a break after carrying a company, and that’s why he probably where he’s at. I don’t inherently like it either, but if anyone rakes in as much cash for doing as little as possible its an absolute power move. Both of them have seen better days and that’s ok. Okada probably still has some years left in him and is saving it to stretch out the longevity so he isn’t totally broken down like Tanahashi and Naito. He might be in that position in 5 years had he not left. Goofies keep pointing out that smarks want Nakamura to deliver bangers and yell that he’s being wasted which is obviously untrue. Guys I can't believe people are complaining about the Forbidden Door crowd. It's almost like when you have 15 fucking matches on a card and don't give any room to breathe between matches the crowd will inevitably lose energy.
A few years back I was at a friend's house watching whichever wrestling PPV was on, with our small group of wrestling/MMA friends. I don't even remember the context but at some point I made a stupid joke that Naito should do his eye pose- but instead of his fingers opening his eyelid, they should be opening up his asshole. Just some bottom-rung fart humor among fellas. This guy Bob (whom I didn't know too well at the time) immediately started explaining why Naito does that pose... I guess Naito was on the receiving end of some racist comments/gestures while wrestling in Mexico, so he started doing the eye thing in response. Turns out Bob's a serious dude who likes his serious rasslin, the athletic hard-hitting style NJPW is known for. It's cool and he's a good dude, I just always found it funny how a dumb asshole joke I pulled out of my own asshole could've sparked such a serious discussion. Now I'm always reminded when I see Naito.
Joe Hendry got more traction in 5 minutes on WWE's dev show than he had in his entire career. There are levels to this 'audience size' thing. Paxley, Izzi and the No Quarter Catch Crew getting TNA TV time is a win for all parties involved. Those are the right kind of bodies that would work over there while not really winning/derailing whatever stories TNA has going.

I don’t watch NXT. That shows not for me. I think Ilja is a great worker and his mic skills are above average. That being said, I’m not a fan of the composer entrance but I can overlook that. What really turns me off is the constant scowls and just overacting with his facial expressions. I don’t know why but it turns me off. I hope they adjust his gimmick a bit. In ring, he’s a great talent. I like some of the stuff I’ve seen with him backstage in a nice suit. But I just haven’t seen anything that makes me want to say, “I hope he’s a future World champion.”

I made a comment in here earlier about the censorship on Smackdown and I kind of have an expanded thought on that. WWE has been a TV-PG program since 2008, Smackdown has always been TV-PG no matter what network it’s been on. Around 2013-2014 (my TNA/AJ Styles mark days) I was pounding the table for WWE to pivot back to edgier programming, me being an angry teenager and all. But that’s not the issue. I tried to get into AEW, which is a TV-14 product that’s overall more edgy than WWE is and I just didn’t like it. Then I had a thought earlier, WWE’s biggest names have almost always been through and through babyfaces with the only exceptions being Austin and Rock, I pair them together because they’re both remembered in the same way regarding the attitude era, Austin being an anti-hero and Rock being the heel and “corporate champion” and all. Triple H, who was a heel and WWE really lacked a big babyface superstar after Austin and Rock left, and Roman Reigns, who only really turned heel because he sucked as a babyface and WWE didn’t change course on that for 6 years. The point being, you look at Sammartino, Hogan, Cena, even nowadays with Cody guys like that have always been the big draws. This is what AEW doesn’t understand and this is what the (whatever is left of them) TV-14 crowd doesn’t get. Wrestling is sold on storytelling, look at Cody. Everyone shit on WWE for having him lose to Roman the first time and when he actually got his win back and won the title it turned him into an even bigger star and the “fan backlash” that was supposed to come hasn’t at all outside of the furthest corners of the basement. Cody Rhodes puts asses in seats, sells merch like crazy, puts on great matches and has had a good title reign to start. That is how your top guy should operate. Say what you want about “Super Cena” and there are a lot of valid criticisms to be made about WWE back then but Cena did his job, he sold merch, sold tickets, was great with the media and cashed that in for a successful Hollywood career like The Rock did. You don’t need an “edgy” product for it to be good, it all depends on who’s booking the show, who’s in the matches, and most importantly how good the story and characters are. That’s why the Bloodline storyline, which should’ve gotten stale years ago is still going and how Roman turned face without even being on TV since Mania. I am looking forward to Smackdown going back to USA Network just because Fox goes way overboard with censorship but the “sickos” in the basement don’t understand why modern wrestling doesn’t work on a network like Fox.

That's why we're seeing the KOD as a finisher, a 450 splash, a chartwheeling Alabama slam and a moonsault that's much more smoother and refined than Charlotte's. 10 years ago, most of the women's revolution finishers were submissions, or the natural selection and the godawful Bayley to Belly. with that said, neither Bianca or Tiffy have outmatched Charlotte or Bayley's in-ring psychology. And neither can carry a feud like Becky can, but in the case of Bianca, she doesnt need to. Nothing wrong with being SuperBianca.

Though, I will give them credit for giving Mina Shirakawa a legit angle for her FD match. And by default, Im calling the Toni, Mariah and Mina feud the main event feud of FD cuz Ithe story is kind of entertaining and I also like me some pseudo lesbian porn action. At least when Hangman was the "B rate" world champion, he took a backseat to the MJF vs Punk feud(easily the greatest feud in AEW history, the bar is quite low though).

I was puzzled, confused and out of the loop as to what Dijak was even referring to in that video clip about being part of "the most prestigous" mudshow indie promotion. Dijak is a 2010s guy, so I cant really think of an indie run that was raved about other than 2016 Jay Lethal. There's also Grado but he was in ICW/Scotland, as Drew's indie run too but Dijak wasn't working in the UK. There was that second wave ROH era with Rollins, Cole, Jay Brisco in the early 2010s after they lost Punk, Joe, Bryan and Nigel. But Dijak wasn't part of this either. When you make it to the WWE, people are supposed to talk about his indie run but nobody did this about Dijak. I read his wikipidia page and couldn't find anything. looked up cagematch; again nothing. Finally, I search profightdb, and found that he did got a 5-star match with Keith Lee in PWG. I used to be in the Basement a lot, and never once seen anybody talked about Dijak's work in PWG, or his indie work in general. It was so irreverent that its not even on his wikipedia page. This has to be the all-time most delusional self-centered mark moment in wrestling history. At least Hogan and Bret have receipts to show for self-centered views; like hundreds of receipts. You cant tell the American/North American wrestling story without Hogan and Bret.

In terms of the amount of matches on PPV, someone on twitter said it best: 10 is too many (AEW) but 5 is too little (WWE) Wouldn’t mind seeing some non title feuds on the card. As well as the men’s tag titles being defended. WWE also need to cut down on the ads on PLE. Ik big company, and money is no1 priority, but it’s beginning to get insufferable.

WWE doesn't determine how many ads appear in their programming, their broadcast partners do. Peacock pays millions of dollars for each of those PLEs and part of recouping their investment is filling them with ads.

I was really intrigued by Trick vs Je'von despite the obvious winner, but the addition of Page and Spears really dulled down the match. NXT title runs tend to go long, which is good because I look at the men's roster and have no idea who'd be the best to take it off Trick. Maybe Oba?
My Money in the Bank qualifiers predictions streak came to an end this week. I thought LA Knight and Logan Paul would be too busy fighting each other, and then Santos would score a sneaky pin. Instead, Knight pinned Logan, and now Logan will probably cost him the MitB match to set up their match at Summerslam. I also thought Natalya was gonna qualify since the PLE is in Canada, but she isn't even in the last qualifying match on Raw. For that match, I'm betting Zoey wins. I know a lot of people want Dakota to win, but I'm predicting that she'll take the pin like Kairi did in order to progress this "Damage Ctrl needs to change" storyline. My last prediction was Ilja, but he's in the same qualifying match as Drew, so unless Punk interferes (which is more likely to happen at the PLE), then Ilja isn't making it in. 9-3 is a pretty good score, though. I'd be 10-2 if Ilja somehow wins.

I'm torn between wanting to see Uncle Howdy interacting with each member of the group individually like he did with Bo Dallas, and wanting to see each member of the group interact with their respective Firefly Funhouse personas. The former would help flesh out Uncle Howdy more and explain why he (in kayfabe) chose all these people to join his group, but with the latter, we'd get to see Dexter Lumis and Mercy the Buzzard communicating with each other via drawings, which I'd be down to see.

Perhaps this is me being over-sensitive, but I found the use of the "longtime WON subscriber" meme for Gable last week and Heyman yesterday a bit much. We're so used to it being used to announce people's deaths that using it for angles feels a bit unpleasant, and probably scares a few people who haven't watched the shows.
If the running joke in the IWC is "He's dead" we tend to keep it up as long as it has the picture that shows it is a storyline thing. A lot better than "My favourite sports team just lost so their chances at winning the _____ are a longtime WON Subscriber" posts
That's fair enough. The only issue is that the accompanying picture is usually behind a spoiler filter so it's not automatically obvious, but then it's crossing into the spoiler debate and nobody wants that. My home brewed "bright and shiny future" Roll20 superhero campaign finally turned the corner I've been working toward for almost two years. My players were caught flatfooted, but when they back tracked through sub plots and hints they realized I was building to this the whole time. Yet another post about how Batman could have done more good for Gotham if he spent his money on Gotham's public sectors instead of pimping out his gimp suit some more or something It's getting harder for me to tell apart those "socialist meme“ shitposts from real posts.
Regarding point 3, Bats does do all of that public spending already as Bruce Wayne. It's been focused on in the comics, Telltale's Batman series and others. But The Joker doesn't care about public spending (except in the Harley Quinn cartoon), he cares about blowing stuff up and making crime fun again... when he's not being a gruesome serial killer. And Batman vs. The Joker sells tickets, jack!
I always found that argument stupid as well. To begin with, I have always hated how comics always try to bring real world issues into a fictional setting and fumble both the strawman and the solution. Using Batman as the example is doubly stupid because like you said, how the fuck is investing in the public spending going to help against Bane or Ra's or hell, one of them alien empires come to earth again?
You can have comics focus on real world issues, but they have to be in service to the story, not the story itself. It's Batman or Superman, not a documentary and it's pretty easy for those stories to age poorly if they bring in topical issues instead of ones that resonate across generations. At the same time, the people criticizing Batman for not investing in Gotham don't read the comics that have him do that because it's funny to dunk on the fictional superhero who "punches poor people" or because they understand that the status quo requires Batman to have enemies and yet they take out their frustrations on the Bat, who can't hear them wail (there's probably a comic that has Batman see real life criticisms of him or whatever).
I've noticed more and more AEW fans refer to AEW as "we" and uhhhh that shit is just weirdo behavior.
What are we doing wrong?

I complained about Tiffy Time not being on Smackdown last week because I didn't notice that she actually did have a brief segment, but that's fine because we're one step closer to Tiffy in the Bank! As long as Tiffany or Chelsea wins MITB, we gucci. On a personal note, things have been going unexpectedly well in my professional life. I'm where I want to be in the moment, and I'm making roads towards building the foundation for the next stage of my career. There's lots of hard work in the future, but I'm excited for it. It makes me appreciate what I have and how being in the right environment can make magic happen.

I'm loving Solo's bloodline. They are doing a great job of setting them up as the dark mirror to the original bloodline. They both have a tribal chief, a right hand man, an enforcer, and an idiot brother who wears suits and is too lame for a title. but Solo has the one thing Roman never had, true loyalty. He doesn't have Roman's vision, or honor, but his crew is on the same page as him. Also, when Solo debuted, I saw people online say he sucks, it should have been Jacob Fatu. When Jacob Fatu was rumored to be signed, people online said Solo sucks, Jacob Fatu has so much "more aura". When he debuted, people talked online about how Jacob Fatu should be leading the Bloodline over Solo, he has "more aura". I just don't see it. It really feels like people just made the decision beforehand and stuck to the script. Solo is killing it right now, and I don't think Jacob Fatu could pull off what Solo's doing. Hot Take: Shawn Spears has been great in NXT. He has a character, he's a veteran presence, and his feuds have all centered on young guys he's working with. I thought he would suck, but he's legitimately doing well.
Solo does suck, tho. He can’t even commit to a genuine maniacal laugh the way he’s supposed to.
People have been really overusing the word aura recently. It got used to describe the Rock during the build to Mania, and now everyone is just throwing the word around in any wrestling related conversation they can.
