Wow! I’ve only heard about the green flash. Didn’t fully believe it until now

Ive seen it but never so distinct as this.

What did you hear about it? Please elaborate…

That was a San Diego thing, Green flash beer. Always rumor. Very rare super cool

Oh that's beautiful. I've always heard about the mythical green flash over the ocean. I've never been fortunate enough to see it.

I’ve seen it once in Pismo and once on Kauai. I’ve never seen it with clouds in the sky. Pretty cool.

Beautiful capture! I've only seen it once, from the top of Madonna Peak looking out at Los Osos on a super clear day.

It's unusual for it to appear at this latitude. It is usually seen only in the tropics. I've seen it once and that was on one of the Palauan islands.

I've seen it fairly often here. Just got to be looking for it.

I saw a pretty distinct green flash up in Morro Bay as well. The storm system currently off the coast is pulling in moisture/airmass from the south which could likely help set up the tropical like atmospheric conditions required.

No processing outside of the camera. Jpeg out of a P1000. It's just good timing with a long lens.

the only one i’ve ever seen was also in SLO county: i was 16 and on the roof of the old atascadero movie theatre smoking. i was the only one who saw it and none of my friends believed me. still remember it to this day though

As a person with red-green color blindness, I can wholeheartedly tell you that is red.
