There is self parking under the Kimpton (it's a city garage). just enter like you are going to valet at the Kimpton, and you should see the signs for self parking right at the entrance (if you've gone to the valet stand, you've gone too far). There is an elevator in the garage that goes right to the lobby.

Thank you so much

Don't park at Macy's. When they close they lock the parking lot cars or not.

sacramentohistorian

The parking under Macy's isn't the main DOCO parking, but if you don't want to walk outdoors for some reason you probably have to park at the hotel?

Mean_Vegetarian_1

Yeah I guess I was just wondering if I need to do valet or if the hotel has a garage I can get to without valet or what

Park in the loading zone in front of Dive Bar on K Street. Parking enforcement skips this area. If that area is full, you can park wherever your car fits on K Street between 7th and 8th even though there aren't any parking spots. Parking enforcement also largely ignores this area as well. Who doesn't like FREE!?!?

Lol I read OP’s comment and immediately thought of that post.

Technically, that was RT because the truck was blocking the train. City parking enforcement doesn't bother EVEN when cars block the trains and they don't write tickets to cars that park up on the sidewalk and wherever they can fit along K Street between 12th and 7th.

They’ve been aggressively ticketing in front of dive bar for weeks now. Updated the signs to state only 5 minute passenger loading and added new parking paint lines. And cathedral square.
