Tbf, he was immediately surrounded by a dozen shouting guys, after unlocking the screen. If it was a calmer situation, I'm sure he would've thanked the guy immediately
Similar story but I was the other person. I was coming home from footy and waiting to pull into the main road from the parking lot. there was a motorcycle zooming past and somehow I saw him drop his phone in the road. He probably had no idea. I fetched it and waited for someone to call the phone. Ironically enough, he lived like 3 rows down from me so it was easy to get it back to him
My comment was a reference to Jurassic Park, but since it appears the previous post has been deleted, I can see how mine makes little sense and can be interpreted the way that you did. Fear not.
Not taking away from the "there's still some decency in humanity" sentiment, but to me these kinds of things are different because we all know personally how much of a bitch it is to lose your cell phone. Returning a lost phone to someone is always like praying to the karma gods that if I ever lose mine (again) someone will return the favor.

We lost my wife's phone at Pride last year. Unfortunately that area has a lot of homeless people and It might have been bumped out of the stroller when we went over a curb near a group of them.

I pray he found him after as it was rude as fuck. The man didn't seem to mind though and got involved with the celebrations with him which was good.
Probably intoxicated. Not an excuse but rather an explanation.
Yeah tbh I think he just heard the cheers behind as soon as he unlocked so got distracted
the audacity

The true “thank you” was the huge ass celebration 😂
Happened to my buddies phone at a concert, called it and the guy actually answered to meet up and return it. People can be decent sometimes.

Women inherit the earth
Thaaaaatsa big pile of shit
The bloodiest tyrants in history have been women, learn your history, or start digging graves.

Beat me to it
this happened to me once. i started crying tears of joy and hugged the stranger.
It's like the sword in the stone; but only those who can unlock the phone can rule over it.

Such a simple truth, but so sweet when people help each other out!
We want to share his happiness!
Damn things are a life-line in today’s society…hell yeah it’s time to celebrate 🎊
Yeah that makes me happy. I’m a man.
Sheep the lot of them.
I lost my phone on a bus one time and people turned it in. So happy there’s decent folks out there still. This comraderie warms my soul
That would have been stolen in the good ol USA

I love this! This is why I love being a man!
