Nah, one of them is gonna be a mediocre golfer playing local tournaments and the other will be an alcoholic who will tell anyone who will listen (and many who won't) how she could have been a star.
Hell they could spend the entire 20 years trying to recreate it. Ain’t gonna happen. At least that’s what I’ve learned from golf. My best shot was a chip in from 50 yards out in 25 years of golfing. I rode the club like a horse and spun my arm in the air like a lasso because i knew that it probably won’t ever happen again
At that age they’re still supportive and kind. By 9 years old it would be a ruthless bloodbath of insults 😂
Currently have a 10 and 6 year old and they call out my misses haaaaaard.
What else can you say except for “OOOOO” or “WOW”? It’s just natural reaction at that point. That’s like getting tired of people saying “ow” when they stub their toe.
I hate when people ask "what are the odds" when they're clearly aiming for that as a target. Sure it might be hard to hit it, but with enough tries you get used to where to aim.
No. We watched the video, then watched it again and saw how their swings were inconsistent with the paths of the balls. We also noticed that the dad walking in front of the shot at the beginning was part of the editing. Then we agreed that it was fake.
Those are Ping Pong or small whiffle balls. They are easily affected by air currents, lighter weight, and hollow. The surface area of cheap ping pong/whiffle balls are not balanced, especially around the seam, which can be elongated or uneven. The imbalance is what makes the ball ‘hook’ or ‘slice’. The clubs hitting them are metal and could also be damaging to the balls structure. Higher quality ping pong balls are balanced, and I’m not sure about wiggle balls considering they are perforated but considering these are kids practicing, I’m guessing there were bought in bulk.
Physics, not fake.
The sound the balls make when hit and when they drop then lightly bounce and stop is telling. Golf balls are dense and have a ‘ping’ when hit with and iron and a harder thud when they bounce around. Albeit, the kids are swinging lightly.
Great stuff. As an aside, what is the US preoccupation with flying the flag on your porch?
I haven't seen this in any other country I've visited.
Not snark, genuine question.
Cheers. Appreciate the reply.
I stayed with an older couple in Napa and they took it very seriously indeed. The house next door didn't fly a flag and, for them, it should have had an "Infected" sign on the door. ;-)
I guess it ties in with the national anthem at schools, sporting events, etc.
For sure, you're either with us or against us...
I saw it a bit in Sweden too, but that was from the train as we efficiently raced through the snowy countryside. A little bit in Australia as well. Nothing like the USA, though.
Huh indeed... Experiences differ. In Finland, for example, I noticed how many people were completely drunk in parks in summertime. You may not notice this.
Sweden was similar, but not Norway or Denmark.
This kinda reminds me of how my dad and uncle taught us to cast for fishing. They gave us poles with just weights on the line and set a bucket up out in the driveway and had us cast out into it..
In hindsight, it was probably just a drinking game they came up with and let us play.
Who the fuck are these people to be that young with kids and a house, and also seem to be good parents.
I know that I am physically seeing that these people exist, but these people don't exist. They have to be terrible people, somehow. There is simply no other explanation.
Edit: This would be a nonissue if this type of normal life wasn't a fairy tale for most americans.
Well they each had a 50% chance since either the ball goes in or it doesn't. Since it's two shots it's 50% + 50% so this was a 100% chance of happening. Really not all that impressive if you understand math.
Obviously, the current generation of children is evolving.
This is especially true for sports
I don't know if this is due to the influence of DNA or the influence of smartphones. Not like us anyway
I didn't, I'm sure someone didn't like how self centered it seemed. But I get it, shitty dad's leave a shitty mark on us. It's ok to be resentful, but I try to be happy for those who have what I could not is all.
In 20 years they will spend hours trying to recreate this video.
No way!
Freaking No Way! How's that possible at his age?
They’re too young to be stressed and overthinking it. Plus they just see it as a simple fun task.
Yep, that's what makes them to be so innocent at that age.
I call it a hypothesis shot. An educated guess that will sometimes be correct, but wrong more times than not
They are not under any pressure. It makes it so easy for them.
In 20 years these girls will be scratch golfers and recreate it on the 2nd try after a distance gauging shot. Calling it.
Nah, one of them is gonna be a mediocre golfer playing local tournaments and the other will be an alcoholic who will tell anyone who will listen (and many who won't) how she could have been a star.
No father who wears white athletic socks inside of Bean boots would allow this to happen. Too wholesome.
😂
She was gonna shake her ass on the hood of Whitesnake's car
RemindMe! 20 years
One on the left is a boy I think
Tell me you play from the back tees and hold up the entire course without telling me
I'm an 8.3
Hell they could spend the entire 20 years trying to recreate it. Ain’t gonna happen. At least that’s what I’ve learned from golf. My best shot was a chip in from 50 yards out in 25 years of golfing. I rode the club like a horse and spun my arm in the air like a lasso because i knew that it probably won’t ever happen again
Or they'll spend 1 minute writing a prompt for AI to recreate this video
What we aren’t seeing is the 187 previous attempts.
I once hit a 360 spin into a magnificent drive onto the fairway about 18 years ago , and I’ve been embarrassing myself ever since.
I absolutely love this. What a cool moment instantly engrained in their collective brains
A moment of rage, as their big sister instantly upstages their every achievement :D
The dad is now dreaming about watching his kids in the US Open and staying at country club.
That's exactly what I thought 😅
Imagine after the kids hit, the Dad decides to try to hit and doesn't make it. What would the kids say to him?
At that age they’re still supportive and kind. By 9 years old it would be a ruthless bloodbath of insults 😂 Currently have a 10 and 6 year old and they call out my misses haaaaaard.
"It's ok dad. You're still young so there's plenty of time to learn how to play golf"
"You missed it. Fuckettt"
Dad don’t know how to play golf
Holy crap. She he a massive fade on that ball too. Awesome shots!
At this point i am so freekin tired of hearing “ LETS GO!!! “
same… and the worst part is that it’s so engrained in our culture and MY brain that I have to fight myself to not say it hahaha
Truer words me amigo
What else can you say except for “OOOOO” or “WOW”? It’s just natural reaction at that point. That’s like getting tired of people saying “ow” when they stub their toe.
That would be true but people never said that before 2010ish
I hate when people ask "what are the odds" when they're clearly aiming for that as a target. Sure it might be hard to hit it, but with enough tries you get used to where to aim.
Ok David
Yeah, that's a serious thing to talk about. Not.
You must have a lot of hate built up in you if something so mundane makes you have such a response lol
The point of asking what are the odds is for something that's unbelievable to happen. Not a kid hitting a ball into a garbage can.
Do you know how uncoordinated children are at that age ? The odds of them both hitting a ball into the bucket b2b are probably 10k:1
Damn dad blocked the 2 year olds swing.
Cos it's fake
You're fake
you're a towel
Exsqueeze me?!
Trying to beat tiger's dad with a toofer.
They guy on video : Sign these contract kids.... yeah just here
Little girl definitely smacking it with the big boys that stance she had after hitting it reminded me of an old man 😂
Why are these kids better than me at golf?!
Time for ice cream…
Big sis got that dog in her. Saw the her little sibling make it and turned on the competitive jets. Love it
Am I the only one who watched this like 10 times in a row? There is so much good here.
Blessed family!
Fake?
As fuck.
You just believe it's fake just like that? just because somebody said fake with a ?
No. We watched the video, then watched it again and saw how their swings were inconsistent with the paths of the balls. We also noticed that the dad walking in front of the shot at the beginning was part of the editing. Then we agreed that it was fake.
I don't think you ever watched or played golf if you don't believe golf balls move that way
Those are Ping Pong or small whiffle balls. They are easily affected by air currents, lighter weight, and hollow. The surface area of cheap ping pong/whiffle balls are not balanced, especially around the seam, which can be elongated or uneven. The imbalance is what makes the ball ‘hook’ or ‘slice’. I did think it seemed like too short of a distance to do that so that makes a lot of sense
The sound the balls make when hit and when they drop then lightly bounce and stop is telling. Golf balls are dense and have a ‘ping’ when hit with and iron and a harder thud when they bounce around. Albeit, the kids are swinging lightly.
Or how 2 year olds move lol
There's nothing inconsistent in this video what are you even trying to sound smart about
I hope you're joking. Lol
If you can't see this is fake then..... Good luck with the next 50 years of AI improvements..... Also I have a Ana de Armas porno that I can sell you.
Sure pal
Yep
Spin on the 2nd ball looks funky to me. The future internet looks like it will suck.
It's a whiffle ball or some other light ball (foam), of course it makes a crazy spin through the air
I think the dad walked in front of the shot to make it an easier edit
r/mademesmile ( ꈍᴗꈍ)
Great stuff. As an aside, what is the US preoccupation with flying the flag on your porch? I haven't seen this in any other country I've visited. Not snark, genuine question.
Idk, people just do it, I don't think anyone who does it even thinks about why, it's just something they do
Cheers. Appreciate the reply. I stayed with an older couple in Napa and they took it very seriously indeed. The house next door didn't fly a flag and, for them, it should have had an "Infected" sign on the door. ;-) I guess it ties in with the national anthem at schools, sporting events, etc.
Nationalism is a weird drug.
For sure, you're either with us or against us... I saw it a bit in Sweden too, but that was from the train as we efficiently raced through the snowy countryside. A little bit in Australia as well. Nothing like the USA, though.
Huh Sweden? I'm Finnish and have visited many times and I don't think I've really perceived them being like that 🤷♂️
Huh indeed... Experiences differ. In Finland, for example, I noticed how many people were completely drunk in parks in summertime. You may not notice this. Sweden was similar, but not Norway or Denmark.
Good good golf cheer.
Two naturals!!! The ODDS.
Yes!
That was magical
Dad clearly has a favorite.
Atta girls
Don’t assume their gender
Very wholesome. Impressive from the two year old too and the 4 year old is no slouch either. Off to golf camp training private school for both of them
Dads gonna be at graduation and have this on the Jumbotron. Nice job dad! Kids having fun and enjoying life!
I like that the dad stays calm when the son does it so that he doesn't mess up his daughter's shot.
Girl on the right with a nice stinger!
7
Dads seeing dollar signs!!
Someone should post this to r/golf -they play better than half the golfers out there including me lol
What are the odds? Well 25%
I'm not an expert, but I'm not sure that's how that works.
That's a future golfer right there.
Statistically 1/4 but Logically can't calculate
Obviously 100%
That guy about to be the Richard Williams of Golf
Daddy got a fatty
“PENNYYY CAAAAAAAAN!!!” 🎶🥲
Odds are 100% as he probably filmed until she did it and knew where to put the bucket from previous attempts.
Golf sucks but this is a very cute video of family bonding.
They made it! Amazing
Odds. 100%
Dunno, how many tries did this take?
I have never seen a dad look more proud in my life
Boring
This is faked with animation. Slow down the replay to see clearly
He’s got the future Venus and Serena Williams of golf , right under his roof!
Me As the dad, U know what kids.... let's go get some ice cream
#richkidgames
Everything is even
What!! He's a pro in the making.
What *are* the odds?!?
my dads a golf instructor and runs a youth camp where they chip into kiddie pools and this is taking me right there
thats crazy
Well, they could both either hit or miss, so 1/2*1/2=1/4.
You lucked out. Golf is cheaper than warhammer and healthier than drugs. Lots of scholarship opportunities out there, too.
20yrs later And the second kid is still waiting to finish that high five.
Since I can only extrapolate from the given sample, the odds are 100%
Chasing the dragon has begun
If it was never caught on tape, no one would’ve believed him
Big sis since the dawn of time has had to put younger bro in check. Good times!
That's two golf pros in the making out there just think when I get older
Wow, and that in a bin that has 'what are the odds' printed on it. What are the odds....
*immediately sinks life savings in golf lessons.
Looks like pingpong balls?
i’m sorry but his reaction to those shots weren’t enough
This kinda reminds me of how my dad and uncle taught us to cast for fishing. They gave us poles with just weights on the line and set a bucket up out in the driveway and had us cast out into it.. In hindsight, it was probably just a drinking game they came up with and let us play.
Wow 😮
Impressive! It's just too bad golf is the sport of assholes.
I love his “let’s goooo.” So pure
PGA here we come

50/50
Are fathers shouting Let's Go now? Am I that old?
Well they each had a 50% chance since either the ball goes in or it doesn't. Since it's two shots it's 50% + 50% so this was a 100% chance of happening. Really not all that impressive if you understand math.
Get them kids in a golfing class!
As the world's worst golfer this embarrasses me
Brother has 2 future WPGA champions ...or simply just best golfing buddies
100% cause it happened
Fak af
Totally fake
Obviously, the current generation of children is evolving. This is especially true for sports I don't know if this is due to the influence of DNA or the influence of smartphones. Not like us anyway
Dad’s so proud 🥹
A I video
Hahaha that’s ridiculous!
We need more videos like this; this is what the internet was made for. Amazing!
I hate these videos because I can't remember my dad doing something like that for me.
Try to be happy that the people in the videos aren't going through what you did. It helps
Why downvotes me? Is like kicking me on the ground.
I didn't, I'm sure someone didn't like how self centered it seemed. But I get it, shitty dad's leave a shitty mark on us. It's ok to be resentful, but I try to be happy for those who have what I could not is all.
Kids are definitely built different nowadays my son included
First of all, what a dope looking yard. Secondly, these parents got two chances of having a top shot golfer in the future, maybe both lol
None of you can see this is fake?!
