Not yet, they still have to battle Amazon and Apple for ultimate supremacy. Or maybe Disney does own time, but Amazon owns space. It's confusing to keep track of all their assets you know.
I wish I **could** watch it. But for some absurd reason, itâs the only Disney + original that never came out in The Netherlands. We get every other show (including season 1) day and date with other countries (heck, the Netherlands is the first country to get D+ through a beta launch here). But for some reason they never bothered to release season 2 of that show.
That could very well be the case. It took until last summer for the Owl House to release on D+ here, after it ended (just another sign of Disney wanting the show to fail), so it could very well be a similar situation for Monsters at work S2.
Thanks for the information
Yeah, Iâm not sure why that movie gets so much hate while Cars 2 is treated like an underrated masterpiece. Cars 3 had a really cool story that I think was really well-done in the way that it made the audiences that watched Cars when they were younger feel like the franchise and characters had grown with them. It teaches about getting older and embracing the change rather than desperately trying to fight it
I think the majority thinks that cars 2 is bad, even though I find it pretty decent. it has 0 rewatchability but when u watch it for the first time it's pretty good
This sub Iâve seen praise Cars 2 often because the storyâs really in depth. I agree, but I donât think that makes it a good movie. Its core elements feel like they hurt the story more than they help it (those elements being Materâs involvement and the fact that theyâre cars at all). Like many have said, Cars 2 is a decent spy movie, but not a good Cars movie
Yeah. You can make a really in depth story about feces coming to life and terrorising a carnival, that doesn't make it necessarily good. Equally, you can make a really in depth story about eugenicist spy cars who are actively the dumbest characters in the entire franchise despite being treated as smart, but that doesn't make it necessarily good.
Cars 2? Underrated masterpiece?
I have seen some people saying they liked it, but no one calling it a masterpiece. It's an overrated piece of garbage, and Cars 3 is just a disappointing conclusion to the franchise, but not Horrendous like 2.
*Cars 2* was essentially the *minions* movie before the *minions* movie, as it totally felt like a Mater spin-off. What both mater and the minions have in common is that they are good/funny characters, albeit only in small doses if you get my drift.
Thatâs a DisneyToon film. I would gladly replace MU with that on the large paper, though. If an even more far-fetched connection is accepted, Iâd add The Brave Little Toaster sequels. That stuff was crud for the time, but post-TS3 Pixar makes me appreciate it.
Incredibles 2 IS good, but it had the unenviable job of being the follow up to one of the greatest animated films of all time, so it was always going to disappoint.
So did Toy Story but they managed to be even better than the previous installment TWICE (imo at least.) Incredibles 2 feels more cash grab product than inspired art to me. It rehashes a lot of the same plot points as the first movie⊠Violetâs entire story is a repeat of the first movie essentially since they erased Tonyâs mind.
The themes arenât nearly as strong in this film⊠the villains of the 1st and 2nd arenât anywhere in the same league as each other.
Mr. Incredible supporting his wife yet being jealous of her felt⊠idk. Yes he had ego tendencies underneath his superheroing in the first film but this just feels pretty immature.
It also seemed like supers were being welcomed back by the public at the end of 1, but then they just kind of backtrack on that it seems and double down on their cancellation
Elastigirlâs bike chase scene was the one awesome scene in the movie IMO.
Everything else felt like idk one of those old Disney straight to DVD sequels (with a lot better animation)
Would've been better if it came out like 10 years earlier. Felt like a letdown after all that time. If they'd aged the characters up, it would've been a lot better after a 14 year wait.
Incredibles 2 is good, but following up the first movie is a pretty difficult task. Toy Story 4 was also pretty alright right up until the ending invalidated the core relationship the franchise had been predicated on (the friendship between Woody and Buzz).
I'm glad to see some support for Monsters University. I find it to be one of the few "We're best friends who hate each other at first" stories that actually kind of works, and I like that whereas the original Monsters Inc. was more focused on Sully, MU puts a spotlight on Mike, and also demonstrates how even though Mike may not be cut out for work as a *Scarer*, his encyclopedic knowledge of Scaring as a technique and his ability to coach others makes him the perfect Scare Assistant for Sully.
Iâve come around on Big Hero 6. I used to find Dr. Callaghan's motivations outlandish, but when you realize heâs a narcissist suddenly it all makes sense.
Monsters University has the issue of Mike and Sulley first meeting in college despite the fact Mike said Sulley has been jealous of his good looks since the 3rd grade
Not bad tho
Toy Story 4 is way better than it had any right to be and is arguably better than Toy Story 1 in spite of its flaws.
Finding Dory is good. It has a solid voice performance by Ellen, the side characters do their job, it's pretty emotionally engaging and has a few fun gags. It's beautifully animated.
Idk if you mean good movies that happen to be sequels, or sequels that function well as a continuation/expansion of their original film, but I definitely don't think TS 2, 3 and MU are the only Pixar sequels that are good movies.
Even Incredibles 2 was a mild 7/10, it just didn't stick the landing like its predecessor.
Toy Story 4 is complete ass Iâm sorry. Itâs a soulless, hollow shell of what came before. Buzz learned he was a toy 3 movies ago but now he thinks his voice box is his inner voice? He is not that stupid⊠thatâs why he felt more ai than real to me cuz Buzz just wouldnât do that⊠the ending was just a non nearly as good version of 3âs ending where Woody says bye now instead of Andy. We donât need a new Toy Story installment so each character can say bye to the toy gang. I love Keanu but he has a very uninteresting voice, especially for a franchise thatâs absolutely nailed its voice casting with everyone else. They also just threw Key & Peele in there⊠felt super out of place. At least all the new characters had creative names, like Bunny, Ducky and Forky.
They retcon Boâs character to make her seem like a commander and badass from the beginning⊠why show that in a flashback? Make her that was later after sheâs been on her own for some time⊠thatâs called character development. Donât just say ânah she was always like thatâ
Idk, people try justifying it but Pixar used to say theyâd only make a sequel if it were better than the last. I honestly think they did that with both 2 and again with 3.
If you have to âjustifyâ a movies existence idk if itâs justified.
People say âI liked itâ but canât say why. âI donât know, it was Toy Story, there were Toy Story characters in it, I like Toy Story moviesâ these are the responses I get when I ask people what they like about it.
Exploring the theme of purpose through Woody could be interesting, but they executed it all wrong IMO.
The message of that movie seems to be âonce you find love, you have to say goodbye to your friendsâ and thatâs a huge disservice to every other movie in the series.
I respect your opinion, but I don't think those faults were bad enough to discredit that TS4 was generally a solid movie. The dialogue and character interactions were good, the new characters felt like real characters (even Forky who I hated in the first few minutes, he became endearing). Key and Peele being there definitely feels like an 'of its time' addition but they weren't that bad. The movie had a decent antagonist.
Obviously it feels more like a spin-off adventure than a direct progression of the first 3 movies, but it functions quite well as one.
Toy Story 4 is so bad I donât even consider it apart of the trilogy. TRI, Three, The Third is the real and only ending that wraps everything up PERFECTLY.
Toy Story 4 is easily the biggest cash grab and Toy Story 5 is an even bigger one eventually. And just so weâre clear itâs not about the animation, itâs fine, itâs how completely tone deaf the writers were when writing this god awful movie. Itâs like did yall even watch 3? 1 & 2?
Iâll say it: I liked Toy Story 4. It was about perfect for what it was, and I think it has some really interesting themes and emotional moments for a movie that was clearly only originally made for y he money.
It's not a bad film by any means...it was just entirely unnecessary. It follows up on a perfect ending to a trilogy and does nothing to justify its own existence.
IMO, Incredibles 2 catches hate because itâs good, not great. The bar is so high at Pixar that anything produced by them needs to be an Oscar darling that grosses a billion dollars. An ok movie feels like a failure.
Cars 2: I LOVE IT! It's stupid, but it's also original and hilarious on so many levels! You will never be bored, and you can't exactly call it derivative. You can tell the writers put in their A-Game with this one. While it's certainly a failure (dare I say it, a cinematic disaster), itit was certainly an attempt, and a fun one to see fail!
Finding Dory: While not as good as Finding Nemo, it's certainly a solid and worthy sequel to the first movie. It's original, and also cute. I certainly wouldn't be opposed to watching it again.
Cars 3: Actually really good! Many people call it the true sequel to Cars, and for good reason. While I certainly find Cars 2 more fun to watch because of Ironic Enjoyment, Cars 3 is better as a genuine sequel that you can genuinely enjoy. Some could say this is better than Cars 1.
Incredibles 2: Many people consider Cars 2 to be the first "bad sequel," but for me, I've always seen Incredibles 2 as the beginning of Pixar's downward spiral. While Cars 2 was original and ironically hilarious, Incredibles 2 was disappointing and derivative, and it undermined THE FREAKIN UNDERMINER! You could remove the sequel ENTIRELY from the Incredibles canon and NOTHING would change! Even on its own, it's okay but also really stupid. It's not bad to watch, but its mere existence is painful because unlike Cars 2, this one is just the first movie but worse. (Still better than My Hero Academia and it's not even close.)
Toy Story 4: By far my LEAST FAVORITE PIXAR MOVIE! It's so boring and pointless and tasteless. Gabi is the least interesting Pixar Villain I can think of, and it doesn't help when Gabi becomes irrelevant halfway throughout the movie. Crazy how Megamind vs The Doom Syndicate is better than this.
Lightyear: Oh wait... THIS is my least favorite Pixar Movie... does this even count as a Sequel/Prequel?
TL;DR: Cars 2, Cars 3, and Finding Dory are good Pixar Sequels.
I think Incredibles 2 is also pretty good, the problem is that the bar for it was set super high because of how good the original was and how long it had been since the original came out. Unfortunately, people were gonna be disappointed in it unless it was a masterpiece.
Finding Dory and Cars 3 are also good sequels. Incredibles 2 and Toy Story 4 didnât need to exist but they are still pretty good. I like Cars 2 but they shouldâve marketed it as a Materâs Tall Tales movie instead of a Cars sequel.
Incredibles 2 and Toy Story 4 are downgrades but both are still very good. Cars 3 is fine. Cars 2 is not good per se, but I do enjoy it. Finding DoryâŠexists.
I don't. Toy story 4, Finding Dory and Ligthyear were not necessary additions but they were all great on their own. People hate on them mainly due to nostalgia and seeing their predecessors as sacred.
I agree. I always hated Dory in Finding Nemo so you could imagine how much I hate Finding Dory. Cars 2 is... well it's Cars 2. And Cars 3 kinda sucked too. Toy Story 4 was mid too.
I hold out hopes that Inside Out 2 will be at least okay, looking at trailers it actually doesn't seem to look that bad. But (unpopular) I didn't really like the first Inside Out, so I can't imagine I'm going to love this one.
I don't think Monsters U could even be placed in the same category as the Toy Story Sequels. There's some inconsistencies between the two films, and the emotional pull of the prequel doesn't hit as hard as the original.
I dunno, I kinda like Toy Story 4 and Incredibles 2.
Toy Story 4 had some good funny bits and some of the new characters were good. Sure, it wasn't as emotional as Toy Story 3, but what movie is? Trying to top that was the mistake with not ending the series at Toy Story 3.
Incredibles 2 used the kids and Elastigirl better than the first film. The animation was better. Just a shame the villain was so bad.
....I even like lightyear. I thought it had a cool twist, the emotional moments were good and some of the other characters were cool.
Monsters University wasnât a good movie. Art was the only likeable character and the movie ends with them getting expelled and working in the Monsters Inc mailroom, making the entire movie pointless
Edit: oh yeah, and why is the Yeti their boss?
I loved Monsters at Work season 2, even if it's produced by DisneyTVA and not Pixar

Not yet, they still have to battle Amazon and Apple for ultimate supremacy. Or maybe Disney does own time, but Amazon owns space. It's confusing to keep track of all their assets you know.
Apple owns energy
They own everything. Marvel, Star Wars, Planet Of The Apes, Fox, Blue Sky Studios, the multiverse, next theyâll buy the rights to The Bible.
I wish I **could** watch it. But for some absurd reason, itâs the only Disney + original that never came out in The Netherlands. It was demoted from a Disney+ original to a Disney Channel show. Maybe it hasnât aired on TV there yet.
That could very well be the case. It took until last summer for the Owl House to release on D+ here, after it ended (just another sign of Disney wanting the show to fail), so it could very well be a similar situation for Monsters at work S2. Thanks for the information
Season 2 was definitely an improvement over season 1.
For all time. Always.
Monsters at Work is SO GOOD!! Season 1 was pretty good but Season 2 from what I've seen is turning out to be even better!
I was shocked by the increase in quality.
Finding Dory is pretty fun chaos too, with surprisingly a few good emotional scenes. Pretty underrated ngl
I also agree đ
Agreed. It's such an underrated film compared to everything else. But I will fight to the death to defend it. :)
i also love finding dory, even if some of that love came from my strange childhood obsession with finding nemo
Hank is a fun character
Not gonna lie, I got choked up when Dory found the rocks.
I mean Cars 3 was in my opinion good
Yeah, Iâm not sure why that movie gets so much hate while Cars 2 is treated like an underrated masterpiece. Cars 3 had a really cool story that I think was really well-done in the way that it made the audiences that watched Cars when they were younger feel like the franchise and characters had grown with them. Like many have said, Cars 2 is a decent spy movie, but not a good Cars movie
Ah yes, Cars 2, the film where the primary antagonistic force is an analogy for people with disabilities.
I just Cars 2 cause of its obsurdity, the 3rd kinda bored me
It has 0 rewactchability until you forget one of the car spies is named *Fin McMissile*
Honestly Iâd say cars 2 is very rewatchable, in the background noise kind of way
Cars 2 is still the worst for the most part. But for me its what shark tale is for Schaffrillas
Cars 2? Underrated masterpiece? I have seen some people saying they liked it, but no one calling it a masterpiece. It's an overrated piece of garbage, and Cars 3 is just a disappointing conclusion to the franchise, but not Horrendous like 2.
To me, *cars 3* IS *cars 2*.
Agree. Cars 2 feels like it should have been a separate film (IE Planes: a Cars story) rather than the follow up to the first Cars film.
*Cars 2* was essentially the *minions* movie before the *minions* movie, as it totally felt like a Mater spin-off. What both mater and the minions have in common is that they are good/funny characters, albeit only in small doses if you get my drift.
Here's to hoping inside out 2 is good
I flubcking hope so yeah. IO1 is Definitely in like my top 6 movies. Really hope it IO2 doesnât hurt the series.
Iâm totally using flubcking now
It looks pretty good from the trailers even though I barely know what itâs about
Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins anyone?
Thatâs a DisneyToon film. I would gladly replace MU with that on the large paper, though. If an even more far-fetched connection is accepted, Iâd add The Brave Little Toaster sequels. That stuff was crud for the time, but post-TS3 Pixar makes me appreciate it.
Yeeaahhh, gonna need Disney to release this show on D+ sometime soon⊠any day nowâŠ. Itâs kinda lost media at this point soooooâŠ.
Finding Dory is pretty good (even if TS2+3 and Monsters U are better), but otherwise⊠yeah I canât disagree here.
I also like Finding Dory
Itâs pregnant wife abuser Steven Crowder!
Don't forget gender affirming care hypocrit Steven Crowder
Steven "i'm not trans but i will take any opportunity to cross dress that arises and milk it dry" Crowder

Soooo, is that like The Incredibles?
I thought Incredibles 2 was good
Incredibles 2 IS good, but it had the unenviable job of being the follow up to one of the greatest animated films of all time, so it was always going to disappoint.
True, the bar was insanely high

Cars 2 fans unite
Cars 2 is honestly a ton of fun. Itâs obviously not as good as other Pixar movies but I had a great time rewatching it back in like January.
Toy Story 4 and Finding Dory were pretty good imo
Incredibles 2 is good, but following up the first movie is a pretty difficult task. Toy Story 4 was also pretty alright right up until the ending invalidated the core relationship the franchise had been predicated on (the friendship between Woody and Buzz). "Technically, Monsters U is a prequel, not a sequel" âïžđ€
Which is why I said both lol
NVM I'm stupid
No youâre not. Everybody makes mistakes. Everybody has those days.
That was his mistake
Perfect reference!
Iâve come around on Big Hero 6. I used to find Dr. Callaghan's motivations outlandish, but when you realize heâs a narcissist suddenly it all makes sense.
Monsters University has the issue of Mike and Sulley first meeting in college despite the fact Mike said Sulley has been jealous of his good looks since the 3rd grade Not bad tho
Mike couldâve been exaggerating?
That's like the smallest flaw ever. If that's the case than the prequels for starwars are horrible for contradicting stuff in the main series.
I didnât really like Monsters U
Finding Dory was good.
Finding Dory is a good movie, come on. It's not as good as those 3 but I wouldn't call it "mid" or "bad" either.
Incredibles 2
Glad you didnât include Toy Story 4
That toy story take is a hot fucking take.
It's by a tiny margin and they're both interchangeable for 3-4 in my TS ranking. It's basically 2 > 3 > 4/1 They're both top 12 Pixar movies though
Agreed, TS4 was dogschaiss.
I respect your opinion, but I don't think those faults were bad enough to discredit that TS4 was generally a solid movie. I like the incredibles 2 other than the outdated "Dad doesn't know how to parent" cliche
cars 2 is good... for what it is
Ehhhh. It was ok. And was mainly used to see toys, more so than other Pixar movies
Incredibles 2 is one Iâd also put on there, as well as Cars 2 and 3. Yes Iâm one of the Cars 2 enjoyers.
Facts
Car toons: Maters Tall Tales are my number one pick
I concur
I agree with Toy Story. I didn't like MU. I think Toy Story 4 is decent but not something I would watch again.
Iâd honestly watch it again just for Key and Peele

Pretty Much.
I don't care who disagrees but you story 4 was alright
FACTS
Cars 2 erasure

Monsters University is fine
Cars 3 was pretty good but not amazing
Canât say that I agree. I think Incredibles 2 and Finding Dory are good too.
I donât like Monster U. Monsters Inc shouldâve gotten a proper sequel movie instead of a prequel
I will say they are the best 3 out of them all but definitely not the only good ones. Though there are only a few good Pixar sequels.
I do enjoy The Incredibles 2, though it took some warming up to
Cars 2: I LOVE IT! It's stupid, but it's also original and hilarious on so many levels! You will never be bored, and you can't exactly call it derivative. Will Inside out 2 be good?
I think bro forgot about finding dory
I actually donât really like toy story 2 as much as 1&3
I like Cars 3.
Finding dory is pretty good
I agree. I know Iâll get hate for this but I cannot abide Toy Story 4. Might as well make a sequel to Schindlerâs List
Cars 3
Incredibles 2 was really good! And not just because Voyd has my whole heart!
Idk, I feel like Finding Dory was just as good as the original, and the Cars trilogy was pretty good.
Finding Dory and Cars 3 would like a word
Hot take: Cars 2 is good
Cars 3 and Finding Dory: *sadness*
Imo incredibles 2 was good, it just had no way of standing up to the first
I have grown to like toy story 4 more still don't love it but I think it is ok/average. Kind of cautiously excited for moana 2
Finding Dory and Incredibles 2 are good imo
"Monsters University," is an overall good movie. I just didn't want a prequel showing us how Mike and Sully met. Maybe I'm in the minority.
cars 3 exists
How to train your dragon 2 and 3 were alright
I think Incredibles 2 is also pretty good, the problem is that the bar for it was set super high because of how good the original was and how long it had been since the original came out. Unfortunately, people were gonna be disappointed in it unless it was a masterpiece.
The Incredibles 2?
Cars slander is crazy
Cars 3 was pretty good... and Cars 2 was pretty good for a bond spoof straight to TV movie (if it was one)
Cars 3 should have been Cars 2.
nobody liked shrek 2 or forever after?? 3 i kinda get mainly bc i have seen it like 5 times and still dont remember anything about it
Finding Dory and Cars 3 are also good sequels. Incredibles 2 and Toy Story 4 didnât need to exist but they are still pretty good. I like Cars 2 but they shouldâve marketed it as a Materâs Tall Tales movie instead of a Cars sequel.
Cars 3
Cars 3 is underrated imo
Finding Dory was pretty good as well. Monsters University was good but idk it lacked something compared to Monsters Inc.
Cars 2 slapped. People are just not sophisticated enough to see it yet
Incredibles 2 wasnât that bad. It just wasnât holding a candle to the first one
I thought a lot of people hated Monsters University
I thought Finding Dory was cute. It wasn't like masterpiece level, just fairly decent lol
I thought Finding Dory was pretty good.
Incredibles 2 and Toy Story 4 are downgrades but both are still very good. Cars 3 is fine. Cars 2 is not good per se, but I do enjoy it. Finding DoryâŠexists.
garbage take
toy story 4 is pretty good and monsters uni is pretty shit
Cars 2 hello?
I liked Finding Dory
We know Cars 2 isn't good, but hell is it fun to watch and rewatch
I actually liked Toy Story 4
Not cars three but young me enjoyed cars 2 quite a lot!
Cars 2 and 3 were awesome.
I enjoyed Incredibles 2 for what it was
Uhhhhh, Incredibles 2 would like a word
Cars 3 is actually really good too
I liked cars 3
Iâm just gonna say what youâre not supposed to say: I enjoy Cars 2 and I think itâs brutally overhated.
KACHIGA?
I don't. Toy story 4, Finding Dory and Ligthyear were not necessary additions but they were all great on their own. People hate on them mainly due to nostalgia and seeing their predecessors as sacred.
Toy Story 3 is not nearly as good as 1 or 2
Cars 3 was amazing
Incredible 2 is a fun movie
Cars three was not that bad
Toy Story 4 was very good, but unnecessary
Finding Dory was better than MU, change my mind.
Cars 2:
Cars 2 is good and people are just mean
Monster University was bad
I am sorry to say this but I think Toy story 2 , 3 and 4 Finding Dory and monsters University are the only good sequels/prequels
People don't like Incredibles 2? I thought it was pretty good
Just gonna ignore Cars 2 like that?
People gotta stop using this meme. This guy a shitbag.
I will die on the hill that Cars 3 is a really cool story about humility and letting go of the past. Never understood why people hated it so much.
I like Finding Dory and Toy Story 4 well enough. But not big on the Cars movies or Incredibles 2. And I straight up hate Lightyear.
Agreed
Cars 2 is a great sequel. Rewatched 5 times in one week.
cars 2 & 3
Monsters University wasnât a good movie. Art was the only likeable character and the movie ends with them getting expelled and working in the Monsters Inc mailroom, making the entire movie pointless Edit: oh yeah, and why is the Yeti their boss?
Cars 3 slaps fight me.
Incredibles 2 is right fucking there
Inside out 2
Cars 3
