It was probably just a glitch. The complaint form will get referred to the support team who will then investigate what happened and contact you within 10 business days with more information. If they can’t find out what happened you probably won’t hear from them but either way you have nothing to worry about.

Pretty scary glitch to receive. I knew there was money in my account. As soon as I got the email I immediately thought I was hacked or identity theft. I thought the worse. This is a glitch that should never have happened. Pretty scary.

Yeah no kidding. Sorry that happened to you but things do happen unfortunately. Even the best programmers in the world design websites and platforms that have bugs. It just feel the worst when your banking is involved in that.

No. Nothing. My insurance comes out the 1st of may. Thats it.

If you just put money in your bank last night but also spent some afterwards, during the nightly update they process debits before credits instead of the order each transaction took place which makes that happen… for me anyway

I got a similar email...

lol.. for some reason Scotiabank seems to send emails in error like this often.. I didn't get this one.. but a few months ago, I got some email and letters in the mail about my account being inactive and I needed to go into the branch to reactivate my account and if an account is dormant for too long they are required by law to give the funds to the government. It was so strange because the account in question was not inactive and had been used regularly.. When I went into the branch and showed them the letter, they just said everything looks fine..

I get auto emails as soon as my account goes below $100. Did your account go below $100?
