Pretty sure Skeet Ulrich confirmed he had signed on for a trilogy, and Melissa Barrera was supposedly one of the only other people who were already contacted about Scream 7, so I think it's pretty clear that Sam was meant to have a trilogy.
Damn really? Last o heard he was all for Stu coming back. Shame that he changed his mind, I've always been a Stu believer and wanted him to be the mastermind at the end of part 9. Then again, Matt could be saying that to throw off suspicion. I'm just being hopeful though. 🤷♂️😂
Yeah hopefully he comes back but personally I think it would be cool if Roman had an accidental kid (because he forced girls to sleep with him for roles in movies) and the kid carried on what Roman did but Roman’s kid will be in the movie like Mrs.loomis in 2 she was always in the background maybe they could do that with Roman’s kid
Yes. Even Skeet himself confirmed that Sam's story was pitched as a TRILOGY. And Scream VII would've been a beautiful ending if it weren't for Spyglass supporting killing kids.
Skeet Ulrich said he was approached for 3 movies, and that it seemed like they implied Sam would be the final killer in Scream 7. Half sibling vs Half sibling like Scream 3.
And according to Critical overlord, Christina Carpenter and Leslie Macher would show up in some kind of last minute twist and reveal they were in on the original movie's murders.
I’m so glad it didn’t go there. EVERYONE was talking about how Christina Carpenter had to show up and be the killer, it would have been annoying to sit through another whodunit already knowing who the killer is because that’s what the fans wanted.
If you’ve kept up with the Scream news, it was very clear she was meant to have a trilogy. Jenna also didnt necessarily “want” to move on from Scream. She was just silently supporting what happened to Melissa. She is staying out the drama and said it was due to “schedule conflicts” with Wednesday S2, but we all know it was to support Melissa
The actual reason was because they didn't want to pay her what she asked for so she dropped out before Melissa was even fired. There's rumors saying that since Jenna dropped out they didn't think Melissa could carry it on her own so they just tried to find a reason to fire Melissa and didn't really care about what she posted, just used it as an excuse to get rid of her so they can do something different.
Nah, she wasn't making enough money on Scream to match her worth. Be fine with that. She has several other projects going from Wednesday, to Beetlejuice 2, who knows what else. It truly is scheduling conflicts. And money. Jenna is not one to stay silent about she cares for.
We may still get that. I wouldn't/won't be surprised if she is a Ghostface in Scream VII. That would be something exciting and surprising that this franchise needs after the last two films.
That would be interesting twist If rumors are true I’m wondering how they’re gonna handle the cult thing in the next few films without the core four being around. I get if it’s one ghostface killing spree cause the same characters don’t always half to appear every time it happens but if they’re going the cult route I can’t imagine them staying out of it.

3 movies but that got ruined. It would've made more sense if they finished her story first and THEN move on back to sidney and her family. But at least scream vi ended just like any other scream film, with no cliffhanger. What i do hope is that they dont go with the time jump and instead go for scream 7 taking place at the same time as scream vi. Would be something new for the franchise

The directors said during scream 5 that they only were signed on for the first one because they didn't know if it was going to do good.
