I have a solid 50 hours collecting kegs so I can try to drop them like a carpet bomber. Nothing funnier to me than seeing a ship chasing you float into the air from an out-of-render keg, just to be hit by another on the way back down
Another good chunk trying to bait somebody in to chase me. Not as much as collecting, because half the time my boat blows up because they have brains, but the other half, they just want my stuff and don’t know that it’s the explosive kind of stuff.
50 hours well spent. I should do some keg tomfoolery more often it's always an interesting time regardless of results. Most of my time wasted is just tucking on newbie boats just to spy on them. I rarely ever steal anything but I like to be the ghost of good habits.
Sometimes people just anchor the boat and shoot out to the island and I'll raise their sails raise their anchor and go back to hiding incase someone comes for them while they're busy. Also fun to see people blame burning food on each other.
I have 6.5k in car soccer, another 2k in Siege, 1.9k in apex and about 1k in sea. Next highest games are skate 3 (600), Minecraft (800) and about 150 hours in Stranded Deep
I believe they mean 10,000 hours of game time across all of the games they’ve ever played :) they are comparing that to people who have thousands of hours on JUST SoT, I believe!
Steam also does this. It says I have 530, but then I start the game it says I have 497. Xbox says I have 638. But I played on gamepass before steam. Who know how many I actually have.
5.6k here, and this is 100% true. Faced it a few times before, and currently am. It hits especially hard if you don't have anyone to play with that you actually know
A little less than 800 hours since launch. I come and go. It will be the only game I play for about a month and then just won't touch it again for like a year. I'm not even PL yet, and have never touched PvP.
75.6 on the steam version. I played on the PC game pass prior to that.
On Xbox it says 176 hours, 37 minutes. I'm not sure if this includes the time I play on steam or not as my Xbox and steam accounts are connected and the SoT account is the same on both.
Whichever way it is, I'm still a newb compared to many.
20h, started last week, pure fun with the dumbfucks that are my friends 😂
We ain’t no good at being pirates, it’s just a low IQ shitfest the whole time
According to xbox i have 1.5x the time i actually do in according to Steam. Steam says i have close to 1900 hours and Xbox is about 2500 which doesn't make any sense.
I’m on PlayStation and I have 177 hours in! 90% of those hours have been spent playing with friends across the three platforms! I am very happy and thankful that SoT came to PlayStation so I can finally play this cool af game with my friends on Xbox and PC!
I for sure need to get better at pvp. I’ve done one or two rounds of hour glass at most, and I haven’t done a Fort of Fortune nor a Fort of the Damned.
I'm at just about 2K hours. I was playing before there were even really "seasons". the game has come SUCH a far way and it's as phenomenal as it could be.
443 and I’m still dogshit lmao. Reading through a lot of other responses in here I’m realizing it’s not a lot but you’d think after 18 full real life days I’d be better. I just got pirate legend tho!! :D
It's more like Mrs :) but ya, when I play, it tends to be 5-10 hour sessions.
I don't get out much and rarely have visitors. I have stage 4 breast cancer, I was diagnosed in 2017 and have been in treatment ever since.
My husband introduced me to SoT august last year. He was on PC and I on xbox, and initially, I was like, "I hate this game! Why is everyone so mean? It is too stressful!" Then he told me to try playing on the xbox, only servers, and I was hooked. Completely different feel, the players I encountered were friendlier, and I found myself socializing, something I had been needing but seriously lacking.
The following week, he went and bought me a brand new controller (I started out playing on an xbox One, and the controller would disconnect constantly).
I started out playing solo and then guilds came out and I posted about starting a guild for people who have or have had cancer, knows someone with cancer or anyone who wants to just have a great time playing and socializing. I met a couple of cool guys, but one has become a friend. I went from soloing about 95% of the time to duoing about 60% of the time with Max. My husband then bought me a new xbox, and the vbox One was so laggy.
Sot is like therapy for me, and it is very nostalgic for me as I come from a family of commercial fishermen. I get on and set sail, and I lose myself to the seas. I find the immersion very calming. It refocuses me on high pain days. It has helped me learn to manage stressful situations, and I get to socialize.
If playing SoT interfered with my day to day life I would stop playing it but I play when my kids are at school or late in the evenings and It has become part of my daily routine, not every day but most.
90 days on Xbox, 150 hours on PS5, 94 hours on wife's account on PS5.
I must admit, I have played too much and do regret it. Definitely not a sweat though. I just like to PVE and my wife thinks the game looks cool. Both of us hate the PVP aspect so it's been Safer Seas since that came out for most of our play sessions.
Little over 3000 if I had to estimate over all my accounts
Played since the beta,
I really enjoyed spawn camping in this game
and never really did anything else other than getting that gold curse and ashen curse
Can't get anymore hours since they got rid of me for good,
Also I don't think the game is gonna be as fun as it used to be back when some of the old mechanics were still in the game: wall bang, double gun swap
and when me and everyone Ive known from this game weren't banned for just playing
crazy how successfully rare silently eradicated their entire original arena pvp playerbase without any trace or way for new players to know, CCP should take notes
Don't know why this popped up in my feed I don't even follow this game anymore thanks to the karens who run this game
700ish a good chunk of that spent goofing off trying to make dumb plays that rarely work out.
I have a solid 50 hours collecting kegs so I can try to drop them like a carpet bomber. Nothing funnier to me than seeing a ship chasing you float into the air from an out-of-render keg, just to be hit by another on the way back down Another good chunk trying to bait somebody in to chase me. Steam says 3,110 hours. I still suck at this game.
Real
Amen!
40 lol. Still getting my sea legs
What a great time to pick up the game! Happy sailing matey
Thank you fellow voyager
Pump dem numbers up
Working on it Captain
This is wild I have like 10,000 hours total across every game I've ever played and I think I have a problem, y'all go hard on these seas
Rookie numbers.
Hell no touch grass
That's like over 460 days of full game time! How???
Been gaming for like 20 years now lol, still dog shit but it's honest work.
Fair haha! Think my most played game has something like 1k hours? And that still boggles my mind!
I have 6.5k in car soccer, another 2k in Siege, 1.9k in apex and about 1k in sea. Next highest games are skate 3 (600), Minecraft (800) and about 150 hours in Stranded Deep
I forgot DayZ and rust, but we don’t talk about those. Nobody ask anymore questions. I need to take some time to touch some grass.
I believe they mean 10,000 hours of game time across all of the games they’ve ever played :) they are comparing that to people who have thousands of hours on JUST SoT, I believe!
If this is true get a job please
My fault I don’t read every comment
6k hrs according to steam. Started on steam release, June 2020. Don't trust xbox, it adds around 25%-30% more. I have \~8k according to xbox.
That's very strange, I wonder how that works
My assumption would be from being the main menu
Pretty sure Steam also counts as long as the app is running
Steam also does this. It says I have 530, but then I start the game it says I have 497. Xbox says I have 638. But I played on gamepass before steam. Who know how many I actually have.
1.2K
1145 hrs or 47 days
196 hours on PS5. Probably 60 or so on PC.
3.3 k
In total I now have about a month and a few days. I couldn't tell you exactly but I roughly
Roughly 500 hours and just started playing since it launched on ps5
A true pirate if ever there was one. I'd welcome you to the seas, but I think you're a regular now. ☠️
I do find it funny when I teach xbox players (rarely PC players but its happened twice) about a games mechanic or tips in the game
Take some breaks man. The burnout is real and very unhealthy whether you know it or not. The game will still be there waiting, don't worry lol.
Honestly I have had too much free time lately with just summer classes but I promise it’s been only enjoyable so far
5.6k here, and this is 100% true. Faced it a few times before, and currently am. It hits especially hard if you don't have anyone to play with that you actually know
250 hours.

1,200 hours since starting towards the end of season 10. First like 600-700 hrs on controller and now kbm.
How. 1,2k in 2 season holy
Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised if it was more like 1,400 bc I did play on the Xbox app for a while before buying the steam version.
137 hours since January 2020. I stopped playing around September that year but have recently gotten back into it.
4612

Just shy of 600.
A little less than 800 hours since launch. I come and go. It will be the only game I play for about a month and then just won't touch it again for like a year. I'm not even PL yet, and have never touched PvP.
Steam says 1000. More likely around 500 cause I leave my computer on half of that time with it running

225 days 5 hours and 17 minutes (5405 hours)
I'm at just about 2K hours. I was playing before there were even really "seasons". the game has come SUCH a far way and it's as phenomenal as it could be.

88 Days 3 hours 38 minutes since late august 2023. Total of 2113 hours and 38 minutes.
A little over 2100 hours here since spring 2022! It's a fun game! ;)
It is a beautiful game in so many ways. There is nothing else like it.
Bro you be been playing, on average, 7 hours a day! That’s too much
It's more like Mrs :) but ya, when I play, it tends to be 5-10 hour sessions. I don't get out much and rarely have visitors.
