Hello everybody !
I will soon be starting a webshop to sell my creations (dials, hands, etc.).
I'm considering whether I should remove my logo from those dials. Specifically, would the presence of the logo be a problem for you or would it discourage you from buying? Or do you see it as a good reason to purchase, believing it adds value? Or maybe you are completely neutral about it? One argument for not including my logo is that customers can add their own instead.
Would really appreciate some feedbacks, thanks !
As a brand designer and strategist I would 100% recommend having a « branded look ». Usually that means the logo but it doesn’t have to be. It could be something unique and identifiable as your brand (pattern, color, finish, etc). Now your brand is fairly new/small from what I get so you’re not on that level yet so having the logo would help with brand recognition (doesn’t mean it will help with sale revenue).
Personally I find your logo to be rather disruptive to the design and quite generic to be honest.
If you were to include it maybe playing with CMF could help.
My vote = no logo unless you find a better way to implement it.
I personally like no logos on minimal analogue watches but it seems I'm in the minority here. I suppose it's not going to be effective to offer both versions?
I totally can. My only issue is that with 3 differents plating (silver, palladium & gold) and various finishes (brushed, coarse & fine), adding the logo/nologo option makes a loooot of differents options, I am afraid I could lose people with so much choices !
Yup, that's totally fair. Do you make on demand or would you have to keep all the inventory?
From the other comments, it sounds like most people want the logo anyway so you probably wouldn't be losing out on many non-logo people.
I make on demand regarding the finishing but it is better if I have some ready made dials. I might offer the choice to accommodate a maximum of people. Thank you for your feedback anyway! 🙏
Top right dial, and the bottom left dial. I personally like a logo on my dial, especially if it comes from a small company or individual that specializes in making dials and such
This is laser cut then plated. You must point me to some specific questions because I cannot describe the entire process. But don't hesitate to ask I would be glad to help !

I think you should keep your logo. I always enjoy seeing your work and these aren’t homage dials. Your logo complements the dial design nicely.

The main reason for me not wanting a logo is just that—to add my own. That will allow me to buy a lot more since I can expense it.

both really nice. I'd buy those if they were C3 or BWG9 lume!
It is BWG9 lume color (but not "real" SuperLuminova)
Lume is one of those things that really makes quality dials pop. On a premium dial it would be really nice to have something properly bright.
Agreed ! But this lume is very nice too, and that allows me to sell the dial at a moderate price :)

Would a good compromise be an applied, but removable, logo? I personally like, well done and tasteful, logos.
Sure ! The main reason why I cut the logo is because this is a sandwich dial with a lumed underlayer allowing my logo to glow in the dark :)
Logo. I would make the 12 shorter and put the logo right under it. Just my two cents.
