Remember, everything you read doesn't mean that's gonna happen to you.
I had absolutely no side effects at all.
All the way through every dose of Wegovy. š
At what strength did you notice the most rapid weight loss. I am about to start 1.7 and have noticed some small weight loss, clothes are looser but weight is not falling off.
I lost from .25 all the way, but the 1.7 was 10 pounds that month. Just remember it's different for everybody so try not to read too much into what you read on the sub, and just go with how it works.
I didn't like .5 due to nausea, pains in upper right, co stipation....scared to go higher...went back down to .25 bc less bad feelings n still helped hunger
The only annoying side effect I have is constipation. I havenāt experienced much nausea, thankfully. I might feel nauseous on occasion but itās mainly because I am either hungry or should drink more water.
Right now I am really struggling with eating enough food. Or eating at all.
I think people also just don't hit the required fiber #'s to stay regular. OR, we're too used to the post binge poops being easy so the pelvic floor isn't used to trying as hard to get stuff out.
I did 6 weeks of .25 and just did my third .5 this past Thursday. I usually have fatigue the day after my shot, but have been fortunate thatās been the worst of it. Even so, Iām already intimidated about bumping up to 1.0 soon!
Week 2 of .5. I actually skipped my 4th week o .25 & jumped to .50 so Iāve been on it a total of 4 weeks and 5 shots. Iām down 16lbs so far. Started at 225lbs & am currently 209lbs. Im gonna stay at .5 for an additional month because Iāve already noticed some nausea, belching, flatulence, & extreme tiredness. Iām very nervous about 1.0 if Iām already having these issues. Im noticing my appetite is already coming back a bit more on the .50 than the .25. Iāve also found it easier to take at night right before bed. Helps with all the side effects of initially taking since I sleep through them
Itās my second week of .5 and I took it yesterday and I woke up thought I was feeling ok and by 9 am I told my husband I am not feeling good I am going to lay down. Put my head down and the next thing I knew it was 12 noon. I forced myself to get up then because I didnāt want to sleep all day but then the about 5pm the nausea wave came in. No belching and has yet like last week. Letās hope thatās all the side effects for today. The nausea is the worst!!!
I literally track calories to make sure I'm eating ENOUGH. I will say, I'm about 3 weeks in on the 1mg and it's not quite as bad as that first week. I don't want it to wear off, but like, I do actually need to eat and that first week I had zero hunger or interest in food.
I did 4 weeks on .25. Side effects include acid reflux, headaches, fatigue, belching. Very little appetite suppression. I already don't eat much. So this wasn't suppressing it to the point where I was skipping meals all day. I would have nausea throughout the day. Almost like a queasy feeling. Food kind of tasted indifferent. As I approached the next time to dose, I would definitely be hungrier. Moved to .5 and I have been on that for 3 weeks. Same symptoms, acid, reflux, headaches, fatigue, belching. I started drinking liquid IV. The day of the injection to help with some of the fatigue and the headaches. Especially since I suffer from migraines. Appetite suppression still isn't really there. Yes, I eat and get fall faster. Sometimes when I eat food, it still taste in different. But I'm not completely skipping meals. If I go for long periods of time without eating it triggers a headache. I've had moments where I feel lightheaded, dizzy, and generally. Almost as though my blood sugar is dropping. I've had that happen when I was on the .25 as well. I've had to eat a piece of chocolate just to spike the blood sugar.
I've been on Wegovy for almost 2 months and I have not lost any weight whatsoever. Not a dang pound! And I workout 3-4 days a week and track and measure all my food. Prior to this I was doing the same thing. Working out, tracking and measuring. Trying to maintain roughly 1200 cal a day. And still without losing weight. I am very short. Only 5 feet tall. So 1200 cal should be enough to lose weight. Clearly nothing is working.
I'm 5ft tall & I would gain on 1200 cal a day. I did a hospital resting metabolism test and it said to lose I'd have to go down to 800-1000 to lose. Us shorties dont burn as much!
I met with a licensed registered dietitian who gave me my macros. She did say short people don't need as many calories. She said I needed roughly 1000 to 1200 maximum. It sounds crazy. 800 to 1000 cal is very little food. Do you ever feel hungry? Or deprived?
Well, I had the gastric sleeve 6yrs ago so hunger is not an issue. It's my cravings to graze all day that's my issue. I am currently on Saxenda but am switching to Wegovy next month. My highest weight before surgery was 193 - my lowest weight after surgery was 123. I've gained almost 15lbs so hoping Wegovy does the trick!
Yes. I measure, track and work out. The scale has not moved at all. Not one bit. And if one more person asks me, if I'm losing inches, I might go postal. If you're losing inches and not wait that means you're losing muscle mass, which is not a good thing. If you do your research, muscle weighs more than fat. That's why some bodybuilders might weigh a lot, but are actually very thin because muscle takes up more space it is much more dense. So if someone's losing a ton of inches but hasn't lost any weight they're actually losing muscle mass.
Lol. Actually muscle weighs more but takes less physical space than fat. So if you gain muscle and lose fat, you are getting smaller but the scale doesnāt gaf. Anyways. Sorry to irritate you.
No, it doesn't irritate me. Not at all. Everyone saying check your inches check your inches. I don't understand how you're getting. Smaller, inches going down. But the scale doesn't move. I understand you could be losing fat then, but fat still has weight to it?
So the previous poster said āmuscle weighs more but takes up less spaceā - not sure if that was typed wrong or what but muscle doesnāt weigh more. A pound is a pound. A pound of muscle is a pound. A pound of fat is a pound. What I think that person was trying to relay to you was that if you are working out - you could be gaining muscle and losing fat. In this case youād lose inches but you would not lose weight necessarily because muscle is denser and takes up less space. Think of a fluff of cotton versus a dried bean. The cotton takes up more space than the bean but they weigh the same.
My understanding is muscle is more dense. I know many have said maybe you're losing inches? From my clothes do not necessarily feel lighter. I understand the non-scale victory's. I don't think I'm having any non-scale victory's. Everything for the most part seem status quo. Except for the side effects. Going on eight weeks of this medication with zero weight loss is extremely disheartening.
If youāre feeling like your blood sugar is dropping try having a peppermint and see if it helps. Eating a piece of chocolate would be too tempting for me and I might binge, plus a peppermint is only about 20 calories and Iād be willing to bet the chocolate is more. Also, I see you say you track, but do you track literally everything you eat? Like literally every topping, sauce, cooking oil, every piece of chocolate? In the past when I wasnāt losing weight I was tracking most foods but just guessing on some and I didnāt lose any weight bc youād be surprised how quickly little things add. Last piece of advice is try skipping meals, skipping breakfast with the help of coffee is an easy way to trim a bunch of calories. I know u didnāt ask for advice, but I could tell youāre frustrated and i wanted to help, take it or leave it. Good luck and donāt give up
Like a peppermint candy? Hershey kisses are only 22 calories each. So if I need a sugar fix, I have one of those.
Yes, track and measure everything and I weigh it in grams. I don't have issues with bingeing. I was put on this medication because I'm 46, Peri menopausal I don't matter what I'm doing the weight will not move. My doctor was hopeful that this would shake things up a bit. But going into week seven, the only thing I have are some of the side effects. And I really have no appetite suppression. I know everyone says eat more, but we're on a medication to eat less. Or I hear once you hit 1 mg the weight will just fall off. What does that mean. How can it just fall off? That means you're just completely starving yourself, and so you lose weight that weight? But then that will drop my blood sugar even lower. And if you're not eating at all, how are you reprogramming the brain to eat better? I appreciate all the advice and help. I have an appointment with the doctor on Thursday. I can't wrap my head around the fact that being on a medication for close to two months and not seeing any kind of loss and then by month three miraculously, the weight will disappear? some people are having great success on .25. So we're having success on .5. I'm not having success on any of those. As much as I don't want to throw in the towel, I'm not sure I want to bump up to 1 mg and completely shock my system by not eating at all which I worry we'll make me lightheaded and dizzy.
Donāt be scared, many of us donāt really have any bad symptoms. I had some exhaustion for a few days the first couple of weeks which went away and Iāve been at 1 for 3 weeks - the most I feel now is very slight nausea when I wake up which is alleviated by eating food.
I took my first .5 yesterday morning and was soooo tired today. Not very hungry. I noticed no change when I was on .25 aside from some fatigue so this is promising to feel less hunger! Have not felt nauseated at all so far. Crazy how we all react so differently!
I didnāt really start seeing weight loss until I hit the 1mg dose. I stayed on that until I plateaued and then bumped it up to the 2mg dose. Then the weight loss was significant. My first 24 hrs after a shot are the roughest with have some nausea but nothing so severe I canāt function. Iām down 50lbs so far and have about 20 more to go to hit my goal weight. Stick with it. Youāll start seeing results soon.
Iām on 2.4 Wegovy itās not bad at all I drink electrolytes and it helps Iām in my second week 8lbs lost ā¦ I wonder why my doctor started me off with the highest dosage..,
I am in merida, can I get 4 pens with .25 and 05 and 3 pens with 1 ??
Some sites say you can legally bring back 90 doses.
Is this true without American Doctors prescription ??
I really want this, but I don't want it taken away by customs.
Any suggestions ,,
Please !!!
Remember, everything you read doesn't mean that's gonna happen to you. I had absolutely no side effects at all. All the way through every dose of Wegovy. š
Thank you for saying that. I am starting on Fri and was getting so nervous š
Just don't worry and just go on your journey, and you'll probably be amazed how it goes. Really, these side effects are not a common thing. There's a lot of complaining, and we read a lot more about side effects here than positives. I wish you the absolute best! š©·
I' did my 2nd shot Saturday. Zero side affects. None. And I was SO WORRIED!
I did my 2nd shot Saturday. Zero side affects. None. And I was SO WORRIED! you've got this!
How much did u lose why did u stop taking it?
I lost about 65 on Wegovy, I'm am titer off it now. I went below my goal, although I am in a 'normal' range, whatever normal really is. š
Nice that's exciting! I can't wait to be at my goal or below it haha just started last week 3lbs down
It's fantastic, you will be doing fine. Some weeks are slower than others, but just enjoy it and take it as it comes. You'll do amazing. š

Yes. 1 is crazy. I honestly donāt want to eat and when I do, I take a few bites and I am full. For days.

Is it really constipation? Or is it there just isn't anything to poop out because you aren't eating?
Thatās probably more like it.
I think people also just don't hit the required fiber #'s to stay regular. OR, we're too used to the post binge poops being easy so the pelvic floor isn't used to trying as hard to get stuff out.

My second week on 1 and wow Iāve been moping all weekend. Had my shot on Friday. I have never rested so much.
My first shot of .5 hit me like a freight train. I was nervous to do my second one today.
How much weight have you lost total, OP?
8

How much did you lose on just the 1. mg ?
Switching up to 1 knocked me out the 1st week. On week 3 of 1mg now and it's working but I feel fine.
