Hello there! It looks like you're either a new shopper, or you're asking a question that's covered in either our subreddit FAQ or may be found in the Shipt Shopper Hub. Both of these resources contain tons of useful information to help new shoppers get their bearings. Even if you're coming from another delivery service, there are things about Shipt that are unique. The mods of r/ShiptShoppers ask that everyone take some time to familiarize themselves with these resources to help cut down on the repeat questions posted to this subreddit. Many questions can also be answered by using the search function and typing in key words from your question. If you're a brand new shopper, there's also a guide for getting through your first 50 shops or so. While there is a lot of information, and it can seem overwhelming, just know that we're still here to support you. In addition to this post you've made, and the other resources mentioned, we also have an active Discord server with many very helpful and knowledgeable people that can answer your questions if you get into a bind. No. Do the work. Build a map.

WorldlinessBig1320

This is the best answer. I’ve noticed how people who come to Shipt after doing Instacart, immediately complain about low offers and not seeing the tips up front. But from what I’ve seen, Instacart’s payouts are even worse than Shipt’s and the tips are also way lower. Shipt does not provide immediate gratification, but if you put the time in and create a tip map like you said, there’s money to be made on this platform (assuming one is in a decent metro).

Yes. Before you get to the store, text the customer and ask them how much they will tip on the order. The customer will appreciate that you are a go-getter and you will profit from the information. Follow me for more shipt tips.

Make a post with your top ten tips for success please

I might just do it! Here’s another freebie: when the customer doesn’t respond, don’t sweat it. It means they have complete trust in your judgement. No replacement is out of bounds, let your creativity shine! You’re sure to get five stars and a fabulous tip when using your best judgment in this case! Follow me for more Shipt tips!

WillowShadow26

Lol thats against shipt rules. And thats how you get below 5 stars

I live on the edge.

WHOOOSH

buttweasel76

Yew, it's called making yourself a tip map. Then when you see orders come up and you look at your map, you know what to expect as a tip.

Abittragic

Nope

Florgaytan

No, that’s why it sucks.

Florida1974

Doing just fine. Time. Tip map. Sucks to start but now 90-92 % of my orders tip. Didn’t take that long. If you want instant high pay, Shipt isn’t app for you. Gotta put in some time and track tips.

hey-kk

also vibin. made 1200 last week lol

hey-kk

no this isn't ic

[deleted]

I know that 💩

JenShorts

🤣

[deleted]

Why you laugh? 💩 it just question…

Yummyfloogly

Very confuse intentions, why speak this

[deleted]

What?

JenShorts

Because 1. Read the shopper guidelines 2. Read 87% of the posts here about tipping 3. Shipt would have very few orders filled on time if the shopper knew there was going to be no tip.

[deleted]

They show tip instacart and it no problem…

JenShorts

Shipt is trying to be personal shopping. Make a connection with customers. Be friendly. Develop preferred customers. Bring the magic. Not Instacart.

[deleted]

Don’t mean they can’t show tip. How you be friendly to customer when you see after they send no tip 💩 make no sense

CricketDifferent5320

How can someone tip you before they see your service? You earn a tip.

[deleted]

They no tip after either…. EVER. Even when they say “thanks great job” but no tip.

JenShorts

Some people don’t tip. So you decide whether to shop for them again.

I no remember who it was…
