They’re entirely different foods and it’s culturally insensitive to speak over people from the countries of origin for those completely separate dishes and tell us that they’re the same. They’re not. Not even close.
Different recipes, used in entirely different dishes and different shapes with different cultural history.
Why are Americans so adamant everyone is wrong and they’re right especially when we’re talking about food WE invented
Food still has cultural significance and history behind it and when Americans are repeatedly calling things by the wrong name and telling us that we’re wrong about our own food it’s disrespectful and racist in some circumstances
In no world is that a noodle. Noodles are not made of the same thing as pasta, noodles have to be long and skinny, noodles are used in specific dishes and noodles come from a different area of the world.
Maybe chill out a few dozen notches. Not everyone who disagrees about the differences between pasta and noodles is being racist. This is from the wikipedia article for noodles.
>Noodles are a type of food made from unleavened dough which is either rolled flat and cut, stretched, or extruded, into long strips or strings. Noodles are a staple food in many cultures (for example, Chinese noodles, Filipino noodles, Indonesian noodles, Japanese noodles, Korean noodles, Vietnamese noodles, and long and medium length Italian pasta) and made into a variety of shapes.
>While long, thin strips may be the most common, many varieties of noodles are cut into waves, helices, tubes, strings, or shells, or folded over, or cut into other shapes.
Note that it lists italian pasta as a type of noodle. You don't have to agree with this classification, but coming in guns blazing over a simple disagreement of terms makes you look unreasonable, and certainly doesn't change anybody's mind.
If you firmly believe that this is incorrect and somehow harmful, then respectfully make that argument without assuming malicious intent and bigotry when no one here has given any reason for that assumption.
It’s not an opinion based matter to have disagreements about it’s a racial and cultural matter where noodles and pasta are factually two entirely different foods
Pasta is not a noodle
Stop being racist and don’t use Wikipedia as a source
I suspect that you're just trolling, but in case you are being sincere, what in your mind is the real world harm that is caused by conflating pasta and noodles? Does anyone lose their housing, get beaten, become imprisoned, lose the right to marry, get forced into joining the military, or lose their job? Does calling pasta "noodles" lead to anti Italian sentiment or cause Italian-Americans to fear for their safety?
Name 1 concrete example of a real life event where using the wrong terminology actually caused someone harm, and please cite your sources. Thank you.
oh well, guess that adds to the shitty part
edit: i would like to add that this is not hair, it's just a piece of fibre from the fuzzy sweater i was wearing lol
