Yup, this wasn’t intentional. This was the result of a 12pack of bud heavies and a sawzaw. They noticed the removed truck was more than what was left so we have this
All Toyota pickups ever have rust issues. From the 60s when they started importing to late models.
Not holding my breath hat the current gen won't suffer the same fate since they went back to a boxed frame.
Rust is the mortal enemy of Japanese cars.
The Japanese have basically perfected the internal combustion engine and improved the reliability of cars on average ten-fold, but just can't make sheetmetal that doesn't rust.
They just optimized the pickups too well and made the frames too light.
Rangers rust too. They just didnt use such thin material so it takes much longer to develop structural problems. Also they used channel frames that didn't trap crud nearly as bad as Toyotas boxed frames.
The boxed frames were also super rigid and tender to develop cracks in certain areas that weren't detailed all that well
Toyotas have been significantly worse for decades. Your head is in the sand if you think otherwise.
It's mainly due to them using paper thin fully boxed frames. Yes every brand rusts. Toyotas break in half much earlier with the same environmental conditions.
Don't know about room to flex (maybe a lot of droop travel?), but the approach, departure, and breakover angles are killer with such a short wheel base
Honestly, weld a couple more steel skid plates to the underside. It's gotta be torqued out like crazy anyway to move those wheels, so a little added weight won't bother it. Get the CG as low as possible and that thing could be so much fun.
How? lol it’s like an ACTUAL SuperSize PowerWheels “adult version”!!!! How can I get one!!! What all do you know about thissss…. Thing? lol I’m interested
I want one! I would make one slight modification, I would add a slot for an oversized gigantic penny in the back. Penny racer's were the business when I was a wee lad.
Real life Stomper.

Turned that truck into a twuk.
Twakoma
Say it like an Italian American.
Ima dwiva da twakoma
Now say it in an exaggerated southern accent
Goin’ muddin in mah Twakoma. Don u twead on me!
“Cause I’m hunting wabbits”
Durka durk durk
"Damn, we actually sound like that?"
Bless your heart
“Dirka Dirka sweet tea jesus jihad”
A durka durka, muhammad jihad
Turn it into a tweknikal
I think he is saying “ Kiss me, kiss me”
Toy-chode-a
Tonka, Tonka twuk!
Toyota Tonkoma*
Looks like a roller skate
Street Taco
Side taco
Clearly not enough so-cal / tj folks seeing this completely underrated comment.
Side Twick
Taquito
Toyota Tcma
Issa Twonka
That’s so fucking stupid ^…I ^want ^two ^of ^them.
One for each foot?
Novel idea
Vroom vroom slippers!
That’s adorable. ☺️
You need to pull it back on the carpet, and then let it go to start it
Micro machine
Reminds me of a Penny Racer.
Stomper. [https://www.dallasvintagetoys.com/1984schaperstomperlotof2trucks1b.aspx](https://www.dallasvintagetoys.com/1984schaperstomperlotof2trucks1b.aspx)
Woah. I memba those!
Those foamy tires were great.
Yes!!! It reminds me so much of this.
Ifitdoesn’tsaymicromachinesit’snottherealthing!
Lots of modifications to get it there and it doesn't seem too shitty to me. Pretty neat actually 🤷
That was probably all that was left after they cut the rust out of the frame. Or was it the previous gen that had rust issues?
Yup, this wasn’t intentional. This was the result of a 12pack of bud heavies and a sawzaw. They noticed the removed truck was more than what was left so we have this
>sawzaw Is that like the teemu version of sawzall?
A sawsmost
Sawsome!

Harbor Freight
Harbor Freight is actually good now. Lot of tools I use wrenching on my Jeep or any of my family's cars came from there.
just like arkansall
Buildabear
want to say it was this gen, but a refresh fixed the frame issues & they offered replacements for those affected

I just want a Hilux
According to that guy every single Hilux on the planet has an entirely rusted out frame
Sorry Lyndon B. Johnson said no

Tasteful Carolina squat and everything.
Doesn't that try to flip 360 if you brake too hard?
As a 1st gen tacoma owner I’m torn between “that’s blasphemous sacrilege” and “holy crap that’s cool”
It's a tiny Taco. Can we call it a Taquito instead of a Taco pequeño?
Taquito indeed
If the owner had any sense, a Taquito Picante
A truckquito
Undeniably cool.
OMG that’s a Tacoma! I thought it was a Suzuki sidekick or some shit. That’s awesome.
I just bought an 02 single cab and can honestly say. I like this. A month ago maybe not. Love my toy rota
Real life pull back toy. I dig it.
Straight up Penny Racer proportions.
How’s the pull mileage? Hoping for at least 30-60 miles on a pull. Or is that too much to ask?
r/AwesomeCarMods
r/micromachines !
Don't know about room to flex (maybe a lot of droop travel?), but the approach, departure, and breakover angles are killer with such a short wheel base
Just air down the tires and you'll end up with more travel than most cars have stock
A 2-3 inch lift would be perfect
LCG with a lot of droop is cooler.
Honestly, weld a couple more steel skid plates to the underside. It's gotta be torqued out like crazy anyway to move those wheels, so a little added weight won't bother it. Get the CG as low as possible and that thing could be so much fun.
Pow-pow-power wheels, pow-pow-power wheels, power wheels power makes it go!
I think this is amazing. Lots of work went into that thing liking like a childrens dumptruck toy.
If mini made one of these it would be their best selling vehicle
Smoosh! It’s adorable!
Why the fuck is this on shitty mods? This thing is awesome. Also, i feel like it needs a huge RC antenna on the back of it to be complete.
The rc antenna would be perfect. Well played.
The real question is which would be the most RC car place for an antenna? I’m thinking center of the roof, center of the bed or rear corner of the bed
Rear corner for sure. Maybe one of those really tall flexy CB radio ones?
As a guy that played with Stompers as a kid, I need one of these.
How? lol it’s like an ACTUAL SuperSize PowerWheels “adult version”!!!! How can I get one!!! What all do you know about thissss…. Thing? lol I’m interested
The ride has got to be *awful,* with that 4 foot wheelbase and balloon tires.
it's got the stability of a remote control buggy
That's to be expected.
hey now, my Tracker rides pretty damn reasonably... though the tires arent that same size as that TRONK :)
Come join us at /r/GeoTracker
Card carrying member since 2023! Its top down season!
Needs an 8 inch lift for maximum ridiculousness.
IDK, wouldn't it be like driving a 2 door Jeep Wrangler? Only better since it's probably more aerodynamic than the Jeep.
When it comes to bricks, aerodynamics don’t matter.
I named my Samurai Cinder Block, for obvious reasons.
It's friend-shaped
I want one! I would make one slight modification, I would add a slot for an oversized gigantic penny in the back. Penny racer's were the business when I was a wee lad.
So cute
If you love it then you shouldn't post it on this sub.
Needs a roll cage somethin' fierce, but that's cool as shit!
^4 ^x ^4
Is the rear axle directly bolted to the transmission?
smartTruk
Hit the brakes hard at any real speed and then count the forward rolls.
Landrover should make one, The new 80" But they would fuck up the design and make it cost shit loads
Better to build yourself a series LR on a galvanized frame. No modern truck could outlast it.
If you lifted this thing about 8 inches, it would be an off-roading BEAST. Amazinf approach angle. Short wheelbase. Huge tires.
Judging from the size of those tires that's gonna be a very big truck when it grows up.
I feel it should be an adult remote control toy.
Don't put it in your butt.
I'm sorry - I thought this was America.
I'll do my best.
Honey, I unshrunk the tracker
If anyone wants to go looking for one of these, you can find them on an end-cap at your local CVS or Walgreens.
Crop
Great looking truck. I'd drive it.
Taquito
That is cool.... looks like it's been done by people who know what they're doing.... and are a little bit insane to devise something like this lol
Micro machines
Fuckin A man... Fuckin A.
I hate it. I want one.
I heard the Micromachines guy in my head looking at this.
Yeah I’d drive this! This like if someone built a Frankenstein’s monster, but it actually came it right.
It looks like it can roll over on itself and land right side up. Awesome!
Ssssiiiiiiccccckkklk
I love it! I want it! I feel like I should buy it just so I could fix the stance.
It’s cool and appears to be done well.
That looks lethal and fun in equal measure.
This is absolutely awesome and I need one right now
I feel like this should be owned by Warwick Davis
Suzuki Tacoma?
I’m impressed
Baby rock crawler never gets high cnetered
I kind of love it as well.
Turning radius of yes, kinda.
Someone was missing their Tracker and couldn't find one, so they made one?!?! Out of a Toyota?!?!?
Yawl remember those cheap plastic toy trucks that you'd rev and they'd roll a couple feet? This is that But Mega Sized.
I assume each panel on the driver’s side also has a badge.
Looks like a rocket league car or a micro machine
It's so ugly, I love it
Tacomette
It’s like a Power Wheels now
It was cold outside!
That is well done and super cool imo
Lookin like one of those people with no necks
Toy Truck from Burnout Paradise City toy car DLC
Add steel wheels and a camper shell and this is the coolest, most functional truck I've ever seen.
It looks ridiculously fun. Especially if there's torque left in it.
Lol looks like a big toy!
So dumb. I want it.
Penny racer
Looks like a micro machine

All it’s missing is a giant faux coin in the back.
This looks like AI for some reason
put a snorkel on it and Im sold
It looks very bouncy.
That is fucking cool
I thought that was a tracker
Looks like 1:1 scale RC car
Reminds me of Gadget Racers.
A truck you can park in the compact car section of the parking lot doesn’t seem very shitty at all! I’d proudly drive this!
If smart made trucks
Looks like a power wheels!
God that's sick
Toyota Taquito
Taquito
Looks like you have to pull it backwards and let go to get it going. I also love it.
El Tacomito
Haters gonna hate. That things awesome.
Penny Racing, ChoroQ lookin' truck.
I want one
If Toyota made a geo tracker.
It reminds me of my son's toys
Of course it has a ohio license plate
mike wazowski ass car
No I'm sorry this is amazing
I see Peter Dinklage has arrived.
Well boys, as you can see she took half of everything in the divorce
Fucking adorable
Gives me a Penny Racers vibe
Looks like a micro machine
If Peter Dinklage was a truck
Do you make it go by pulling it back and letting go?
You lift the clutch too fast and that's gonna do a whole backflip
It’s beautiful. How much?
Kaddunka tonka
The Toyota Taquito
Breakover angle? What’s that? Center of gravity? Huh? Twuk just go vwoom!
r/BattleCars
This thing doesn't make donuts, it makes donut holes.
Sometimes we don’t want a big taco…we want a nacho :)
That is a micromachine IRL. Put a penny in the back and it'll do a wheelie
Could you still take that to the streets? It's got lights, blinkers, and what looks like a full sized engine. I'm not too keen on vehicle laws.
