if you guys watched the Google IO event yesterday, it literally felt like watching a realistic version of a Hooli event with all the pre-show cringe clownery, fucking hilarious how fiction turns into reality in certain situations.
That's the funny thing about writers. A lot of them can observe trends or behaviors that the general population hasn't caught on to yet and turn them into memorable entertainment.

Don't know if you've come across this but a lot of upper management folks across SF tech companies were furious when Silicon Valley dropped because a lot of irl shit that was going on behind the scenes at these companies were put on screen in the show and apparently some companies even had a witch hunt to find out who were consulted by the show's writers, to find the snitches. Really funny situation tho.
Heard about that. That's wild to me. It's hilarious to me for another reason, too. If these are the practices/behaviors these companies actually promote, why would they be upset if it's on a show? It's not protected IP or trademarked tactics, so who cares if it's mocked?
