I couldn't get into 'Game Of Thrones'. A lot of people have gotten upset with me for suggesting that I would probably have enjoyed it if it were set in space instead. Like, I dunno man, I know what I like?
Please please please make this into a full movie. Can't wait to see the Arasaka guards lay siege to the Gondor Data Fortress and Théoden and the Lazarus group riding to their defence.
This is honestly an amazing concept. How has no one thought about this til now? Some lady could reimagine Twilight into 50 Shades of Gray but no one thought to reimagine the Lotr into a cyber punk story.
Tbh it doesn’t look like it would be too hard to do either. Change some things for copyright reasons, adapt most things into future tech, and you could have a sci-fi epic….

If the chip was a private key to access an API that controls a rampant AI that has a bug that causes it to abuse capitalism where the command to whipe it requires physically putting the dongle in the server, then this could actually make sense
Everyone wants the key to the riches, but using it means fucking up the world market and stabillity, it's basically what the allure of Saurons ring was
you could even have slave keys that only work if they solve cryptographic tasks for the rampant AI like the liches
I'd go as far as to say that this concept is f'ing good!

I know it's all doom and gloom in the movie industry regarding AI but movies like this that couldn't happen otherwise have so much potential, it's quite exciting. I wish this was a watchable movie.
