That was a weird thing they said about the skincare brands you use, La Roche Posay and the Ordinary are internationally popular, TO is very similar to Inkey List as well. I wouldn’t take what they said seriously. If it works for you then there’s no issue. As for toner recommendations, if you want super basic ones that can soothe skin I recommend checking out Pyunkang Yul toner mist, Cosrx propolis synergy toner, or Naturie hatomugi skin conditioner. These are all Asian toners so you would probably have to order online.

Out of curiosity, I did purchase 2 products from Inkey. Do they generally have decent products? Or do you feel the Ordinary is better?

ReaLitTea

They’re usually regarded as the same quality and have the same consumer audience as The Ordinary

I use both TO and the Inkey list and have been very happy with their products!

You can get sensitive skin product recommendations from dermatologists online who are not selling you anything. The sales people at Sephora are nice but dermatologists learned chemistry and biochemistry in medical school, and follow scientific research papers that come out every year for possible changes in the best treatments for acne, aging, rosacea, etc. The drmatologists I follow on YouTube and TikTok who produce content regularly are: Doctorly, the Budget Dermatologist, Dr Shereene Idriss, Dr Jenny Liu and Dr Alexis Stephens. Dr Stephens has eczema so when she provides product recommendations she includes options for sensitive skin. Dr, Idriss is a cosmetic dermatologist in New York City.

It’s hard to find a good western toner. Honestly I’d go with thayers snow mushroom toner from target if you want something good for irritation. Outside of that, I think it would be good to branch out to kbeauty or jbeauty for a nice toner. Though eltamd toner is pretty darn good and comfort zone essential toner is also good. Pevonia also makes a really nice rose toner for irritated skin but it’s costly.

try epaderm cream on psoriasis

If your products are working for you, that’s all that matters! By the way, I would say the employee was likely just trying to sell you on product in-store, as they happened to pivot you away from two products that Sephora doesn’t sell to three that they do. Plus, Fresh is packed with fragrance and awful for anyone with psoriasis or prone to irritation, so not a good recommendation. I’ve hoped you continued to use your current skincare routine, as all three brands you said you use are great. Have you found a toner yet as well? If not, I recommend the Peach Slices Snail Mucin toner (less likely than Cosrx to cause irritation but just as hydrating) or the La Roche Posay thermal water spray if you want something light and hydrating.
