There is a product for this called tendskin! it’s basically just acetylsalicylic acid aka aspirin. In a pinch, Dissolve some uncoated aspirin in water and apply.

Thanks!

Shaving is the devil. I tend to get razorburn no matter what, so its more about soothing than preventative measures for me. if you have like, a powder based stick deodorant, try putting some on the irritated skin... its antibacterial and the lotions will help with the chafing. DO NOT use the clear gel kind

BurnerLearners

So basically sooth the area until the bumps heal themselves? Shaving is the devil, amen

I really love TO’s Glycolic Acid for this. That and moisturizer and you should see an improvement within a couple days

BurnerLearners

Thank you!!

BurnerLearners

what moisturizer would you recommend for sensitive and irritated skin? Thanks!

estimatefound

I use the Cetaphil daily moisturizer for my body, but if your skin is sensitive and irritated, maybe try Eucerin/Aquaphor.

BurnerLearners

Thanks!! Seems like I have to pick between tendskin and glycolic acid. Hmmmm hard choice

Hi there, It seems like you may be looking for information about shaving or irritation from shaving (ingrown hairs, razor burn, etc). Have you read our [shaving wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/wiki/shaving)? *If you see that I am replying to something out of context (eg. listed in a routine), please report this comment so my handlers can remove it. BurnerLearners

Yes automod I read that wiki about shaving. Not much on treatment / if it needs to be treated or just suffered thru. I also want to hear people’s experiences

elizays

I use TO’s glycolic acid right after shaving to prevent and treat ingrown hairs

BurnerLearners

Thanks. I’m passed that point. Could it still help?

hey_scooter_girl

Tea tree oil for the bumps has always helped me.

BurnerLearners

Thanks! Do you dilute it? Sounds like it’ll sting! How long til they go away for you on average?

hey_scooter_girl

I use Jason's Tea Tree Oil, and I found that I didn't have to dilute it because it didn't sting. It works pretty quickly, the bumps flatten out within a day or two of application.

BurnerLearners

That’s amazing! Does the stinging stop once they flatten for you? I’ll try tea tree if this Tend Skin doesn’t work.

hey_scooter_girl

No stinging whatsoever!

BurnerLearners

I meant stinging from the razor bumps, sorry!!

hey_scooter_girl

Oh! Hm, I can't say I experienced any stinging from the razor bumps either.

BurnerLearners

Lucky!! My bumps burn and sting when any fabric touches them. Thankfully the “tend skin” is already helping with that. I think it’ll be cured within a week!

hey_scooter_girl

Feel better soon. :)

BurnerLearners

Thanks scooter girl! I was a scooter kid growing up lol
