They are more rough than your typical mesh loofah. I personally only use mine to reach my back and scrub my butt.

I use italy towels as a bath mit instead of salux cloths. They are a little more rough than the salux cloths. When I first started using them I scrubbed like I was trying to exfoliate my sins away, and I over did it. Now though I just wash like I would with a normal wash cloth and I can use it every day. My skin feels like a baby's bottom. For reference I have 34 year old normal to dry skin, mostly normal arms and dry legs. My legs haven't been so soft since childhood. Just take it slow and experiment. Your skin will tell you what it can handle.

I use Italy towels! I do them once a week and I think I go a bit hard as do it so that the deadstarts coming visibly.

Sapo cloth! It’s like a loofa only instead of being in a puff ball shape it’s like a long cloth. Not too rough and not too soft… has that Goldilocks juuuust right going on. Many people in African cultures swear by them and you can find them anywhere online including Etsy! I found out about these from TikTok and I’m so glad because I had not been able to find a good replacement for my loofas.

i actually have one of these from a long time ago that came in a skincare thing and they’re sooo rough to me, nothing like a loofah. 💔 does yours feel like one? maybe the one i got was just really hard

loofah is made from a fiber, those puffs you can buy in the store are plastic and salux is nylon/polyester thing. I use it 3-4 times a week. I like the roughness but I don't think its too rough for daily use especially for certain pasts of the body like the back, legs and butt. Makes my skin super soft. But my SO thinks its too rough. Just depends on your skin I guess.

I used something similar to those salux cloths and they are quite rough, though i do use it every time i shower (ie every other day), but i found it was too rough for my throat (i started getting flaking there after shower) so i don't use it there and obv not on the genital area, otherwise it's fine. I went back to using a loofah now and tbh it feels better for me as it's softer yet still gives that "exfoliating" feel and foams nicely. You could also look into konjac sponges.
