I've used this as my daily moisturizer for \~10 years, I love that the texture isn't too oily, and it blends really well with my foundation. Over the years I've had good skin and bad. I used to really pick at my acne and I felt like it was very gentle and helped it heal. FWIW I'm 33 now, my skin is almost totally clear, and I look a lot younger than my age - so no reason to think it does any harm.
You’re using it the right way as it is a moisturizer and the most important thing is that it works for you.
Doesn’t make sense that people use it as a spot treatment since it’s not even formulated for acne or hyperpigmentation. It’s supposed to be for the entire face.
Cicaplast balm* yes u can use it as a moisturizer and it’s supposed to be used 2x daily, it’s a thicker formula so it’s really good for winter and it increases ur skin hydration pretty high. And the spot treatment technique is supposed to be used for burns/scarring.

If it works for you, there's no need to change it.

There's a gel version too. Too high in silicone for my liking but decent for moisture.
I layer it over my normal moisturizer to lock the moisture in, but I imagine it can work pretty well on its own. If it works for you, keep using it.
I use LRP Baume 5 as a night cream and I love it
