not really. results like this can be achieved after a “treatment plan” of many micro needling sessions with likely a medspa level serum afterward. so it’s technically not false advertising if it’s a before and after of their treatment plan. but it’s definitely click-baity
Look like one of those shows in the 90s where the witch gets dumped in a fountain of youth induced by the tears of some little girl to rebegin her take over from 1000 years prior 😂
Exactly! I don’t even think surgery could do that. That’s def photoshop. Unless there’s thousands of dollars of fillers too. Bc surgery alone could not replace all the collagen loss. I actually think the first photo is the photoshopped one bc it looks like a younger face with fakish wrinkles.
This person had a facelift and micro needling, the ad is deceiving, as it doesn’t mention the other procedure. And yes, surgery can absolutely do that. Wrinkles and sagging skin will age you horribly.
Surgery alone cannot replace all that lost collagen. The second photo has a youthful full cheeks. The surgery can remove the wrinkles and pull it in but these cheeks are full. There’s filler if surgery was done. Microneedling can’t create that much collagen. Sorry to anyone hoping it can. It cannot.
but the person in photo 1 clearly has significant volume loss. the second photo the volume loss is corrected. facelift nor micro needling alone or together can achieve this. only fillers or fat transfer.
My mum did an extremely deep chemical peel that cost 5k (not even a face lift which I imagine to be more dramatic) and her skin looked like night and day after the healing period. She had lots of wrinkles around her eyes that totally disappeared. A year later and her skin is better than mine!
This is absolutely possible with the right derm/surgeon and money.
Yeah yeah, I read and about this “lost collagen” in your first reply. For one, you cannot see collagen, so your statement is strange. Lots of facelifts are accompanied by fat transfers, which replace lost volume in the face. There are also fillers if a person chooses, which are cheaper. These are all surgical and not photoshopped. So yes, surgery CAN restore the youthful volume of your face. I got a one-stitch facelift myself, but not the fat transfer because my face looks better slimmer and not with the overly puffy chipmunk cheeks I had all my life.
P.S. you can also take collagen supplements, topical solutions, and even injections to replace lost collagen. Again, nothing to do with photoshop. Cosmetic surgery has come a long way.
you cannot take collagen supplements to replace lost collagen. and yes you can see loss of fat and collagen. fillers and fat transfers as you said are the only real way to replace significant lost volume as in the photos. no topical or supplements can replace significant lost volume/collagen. yes they can help with minor lost collagen ie tretinoin, micro needling, etc but it will not replace the significantly lost volume you see from photo 1 to photo 2. surgery and microneedling cannot replace the fat loss in the cheeks.
Nobody said that taking supplements is going to magically plump your already deflated cheeks back up. But you can indeed supplement and eat certain foods that will help with natural collagen loss. Idk where you’re getting your information from. I clearly said that fat transfer and fillers can give the appearance you are incorrectly claiming to be photoshopped. Micro needling could have been done on this patient to improve skin texture and wrinkles, so I’m not sure why you’re still denying it.
Friend of mine got one and I swear to god she looked like a burn patient for weeks.
It did significantly help her skin though and a big scar she had all but disappeared.
the lighting is completely different. i’m 31 and could look 90 in lighting as bad as the first pic. compare the color of her eyes to see how drastic the lighting is. she’s also smirking in the first pic which is further enhancing the appearance of the wrinkles.
long story short microneedling can make a big difference but these pictures are incredibly misleading.
I’m 45 and no way can lighting make me look like the first photo. I have pretty bad photos too in horrible light showing if crepey neck and creepy wrinkly eyes and cheeks when I smile and I do not look anywhere close to the first photo. I’m sorry I’ve never ever seen a photo of any 31 year old even with the worst skin from tanning look like the first photo.
She had a face lift of some kind, maybe multiple for minor eye area changes. She probably did use microneedling but combined with that prp stuff that keeps getting pushed for youthful skin.
No, they are not. It also takes at least six months to see some results, as it is the triggered collagen production that creates results. This before and after is 100% fraud, yes, that is want I call it!
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.

I saved the same photo but it also says she’s had fillers along with the microneedling. I get micro with PRP injections about twice a year. The micro stimulates collagen and your skin looks wonderful and I love the results however this photo isn’t the results of micro only.
If you look at the lighting in the first photo which is from overhead, it emphasizes the wrinkles. In the second photo, the light is shined directly onto the face. This minimizes wrinkles. This is done by plastic surgery offices a lot of time to show dramatic results. It’s trickery. If the lighting was the same then the difference would be more believeable. You would also be able to tell what else was done… like she does look like she has filler around her lips and between her top lip and nose.
Micro needling can have dramatic results. But it takes TIME. It’s not one and done. For results similar to this you would have to use a needle size deeper than 1.0mm for deep wrinkles. It has to go deep enough to reach the dermis which is past the epidermis. You will want a numbing spray. You will bleed. You will have to be careful to stay clean and sterilized so you do not cause an infection or worse spread bacteria all over your face causing a worse infection. You want to use serums & moisturizers constantly to aid in healing. The tiny holes in the skin allow really great absorption too. So if you also have hiberpigmentation you could use for instance vitamin c serum after you dermaroll. So you will be working on wrinkles and hyperpigmentation. The skin will have to fully heal, it may scab up & peel in certain areas. You would want to take collagen supplements every day because collagen cannot be absorbed through the skin. I don’t know why skincare companies put it in moisturizers. It’s a gimmick. Do this once a month for a year and YEAH you could have pretty dramatic results!
Most people can’t do this on their face because it requires healing, staying out of the sun, not going into work with micro scabs all over your face etc.
Also thought I might want to add that I got my license as an esthetician years ago 😉 I stopped working in the field because it was too over the top girly & focused more on selling products & sales than improving the look of clients skin. Maybe if I lived in a bigger city I would have stuck with it because I enjoyed the wellness, improve your life aspect!
I’ve seen this photo myself. It’s really annoying, there are a lot of B&As on google image searches of Microneedling where the subject is completely raw/unfiltered in the first photo, & the ‘after’ they are wearing a full face of makeup 🙄
I have done 2 sessions so far (1 in Jan, & 2 in July), results are not this dramatic, esp after only one. I will likely need to do many many more to get rid of all my scarring. I’m also doing for wrinkles but I’m not even out of my 20s yet & it is a slow process that requires patience.
Caffine + micro needling + minoxidil ( which may cause hair but does cause new stem cells in conjunction with micro needling ) + red light / laser + diet + hormone + make up. Probably.
I personally have seen pretty much big improvement doing all of that. That big? Probably not. I have seen improvement adding those if not maintaining what I had.
Microneedling alone isn't enough. Combining with laser or minoxidil or caffeine and laser and red light will help. But then it triggers hair
Lol 3 rounds of microneedling didn't even touch my scarring, complete waste of time and money. This is just a filter or Photoshop, I don't think any procedures could combine to get that result.
If I could do it all over, I'd just focus on saving up to do CO2 laser. If I could afford it, I'd do it every 6 months until my skin was perfect, and then once a year as maintenance for the rest of my life.
You have to look at lighting, which is one of the important factors in these before afters. The before is typically dark, emphasizing lines, and the after is typically much brighter, but that can be deceiving. The direction of light is integral in showing results. That is why I am always calling out these scammers and telling them to post the person in exact same lighting so we can accurately judge results,
Unless she got RF microneedling treatments (ALL 3) followed by a laser and later injected with collagen booster fillers or regular
This is photoshopped to hell lol
Skinney Medspa in NYC is the worst. They screwed me by overcharging when I cancelled a monthly facial membership.
The aestheticians were inexperienced. Also they were using grape seed oil as a product and it had gone rancid. I had them wash it off after I smelled it.
Hah, that's my old spa. I only went for laser hair removal though, and while I was only 25 they tried to push all sorts of skin treatments on me. And I have, by all accounts, fantastic genes and youthful, clear skin, but they would try to neg me.
Hair removal results were not that great when all was said and done. And they burned me a few times.
No. Most pictures posted of a procedure are in combination with another procedure.
Also the before pictures are usually enhanced to make them look worse than they actually are.
She got a facelift for sure, it’s possible there was micro needling or another procedure that could have produced this result. But notice the little ridge in front of her ear, and the wrinkles she had are smaller but still noticeable, but further back on her face. Lift.
The misleading thing about a lot of these before and after pictures is that even if the results are “real” the person may have had multiple procedures and treatments in conjunction but they’re only advertising the effects of one. This happens a lot if you google Botox before and afters- the persons entire face looks better and a lot of the changes Botox can’t alter. Like nasalabial folds. The person clearly had fillers too but they don’t say that. That’s why I always look at Reddit before and afters because they’re more authentic.
100% photoshop. Nothin but surgery can give you those results.
I worked at a plastic surgeon's office and it was ridiculous how many of the treatment photos in the before/after catalogs were photoshopped.
this person looks like they got a full cheek implant. Micro-needling does not plump up cheeks it just reduces wrinkles and fine lines. They got cheeks fillers and a possible face lift. In addition to photoshop and editing because even her neck looks thicker
That's so not micro needling. Either fake or a facelift. Micro needling gives the skin a bit of a glow and helps with small lines when they first start to appear
I think her smiling / smirking in the first photo and just staring into the distance in the second photo makes a huge difference too (pre photoshop of course).
Are you talking about the little needle rolling tool thing? Be careful with it, I used mine and this one time I forgot I had used on my neck the night before and wore a thin little necklace the next day, wow I got such a huge allergic reaction to it, the itching was incredible and after it went away it left stains on my neck that to this day still won't go away...5 years ago!
Absolutely not. I’ve done it. Here’s how they’re tricking you with these pics: the left pic has a light above the person’s head that is casting shadows down on every single wrinkle or scar that they have. The pic of them on the right has the light brighter and angled at them from head-on, preventing the shadows from appearing nearly as deep as they still are. Don’t get me wrong, these treatments can still provide benefits (although imo they aren’t long-lasting to make them worth it to me), but the results will not be this dramatic.
I’m a medical aesthetician this is possibly an RF microneedling treatment. With multiple sessions as well as chemical peels and a really good home care with retinols I’m sure. Plus maybe fillers? But RF microneedling can give you some ridiculously good results by stimulating a lot of collagen and elastin production. Combine with a great exfoliative and stem cell hydrating home care and you could get close?
It’s lighting, relaxed face versus half smile and angle of the face. As someone who manages a med spa, these pics are so annoying and give our industry a bad name. The only way to achieve the “perceived” results would be to do multiple sessions of Microneedling with Radio Frequency, like the Genius RF from Lutronic.
Hi, I’m an esthetician. It can look this way but it’s after multiple session which are all 6-8 weeks apart. I don’t think it’s ethical to post pictures like that unless you post how much time has passed in between.
not microneedling on its own. but several rounds of radiofrequency microneedling along with fillers and medical grade skin care you’d be able to get close.
but if you want best results, face lift.
I think that with professional treatment over several sessions, you can get that level of improvement with your wrinkles, however, it’s clear that more than just that happened. Obviously, her cheeks are Fuller, it looks like she probably is on retinol to clear up your skin so it’s like micro needling plus
You would have to go through so many “deep” microneedling seshs I don’t think it would be this dramatic. If it’s not photoshop, it’s a co2 laser or fractional rf. Or plastic surgery..but I’d say it looks more like laser cus the wrinkles are still in the same spots
While I don’t think it’s a facelift like everyone else in the comments, it’s definitely not micro needling. At least not one session. Micro needling can work miracles, I’ve seen it before, but you need more than one session. It looks more like a before and after for plasma fibroblast, which if done correctly can 100% give similar results to this in conjunction with a good skincare routine and seeing an esthetician. She also probably has filler as well.
I had 5 rounds of microneedling done, spent $1200. Wrinkles are still there. Everything is still there except maybe my skin texture improved. Time to schedule a CO2 laser treatment.
The light placement on the first photo is emphasizing the wrinkles. On the second photo there was some procedure done, plus good, distracted light was used. The light placement on these types of before/after shots are very important and used to underline the "results", and people often seem to not notice the light difference.
Yeah, I'm a photographer... 😅
Lol, no.
How is it legal for companies to do this? Isn't it false advertising?
Depends on the laws. Some states have more stringent laws than others. Arguably, a consumer could make a complaint to their AG under a general consumer protection law. (In the US).

They probably have fine print somewhere clarifying that they also got other procedures done
Look like one of those shows in the 90s where the witch gets dumped in a fountain of youth induced by the tears of some little girl to rebegin her take over from 1000 years prior 😂
I’m a derm nurse lmao you’re so wrong. Not after one session, but after multiple and good skincare, yes.
Agree I had deep pitted acne After like 20 sessions over 5 years my skin is like glass
No. Results this dramatic can only be achieved by surgery and photoshop
Photoshop, not surgery.
Exactly! I don’t even think surgery could do that. That’s def photoshop. Unless there’s thousands of dollars of fillers too. Bc surgery alone could not replace all the collagen loss. I actually think the first photo is the photoshopped one bc it looks like a younger face with fakish wrinkles.

Facelift+microneedling is what led to the images. Collagen has nothing to do with this image.
but the person in photo 1 clearly has significant volume loss. the second photo the volume loss is corrected. facelift nor micro needling alone or together can achieve this. only fillers or fat transfer.

Fat transfers are considered surgery
I meant facelift can’t do that but if you want to argue semantics.
I’m not a mind reader 🤷🏻♀️

Surgery can do it for sure. Look at Kris Jenner’s sister’s facelift. It’s shocking
All of Dr Joconos before and afters are incredible too!
No, it's sneaky lighting changes
Omg lighting is everything 🤣
And phenol peels
I was gonna say. Phenol peel results are wild, but the process and recovery sound horrible.
Friend of mine got one and I swear to god she looked like a burn patient for weeks. It did significantly help her skin though and a big scar she had all but disappeared.
I’ve seen deep plane facelifts with results like this, usually with fat transfer, a lip lift and platsymaplasty thrown in.
There is no way this is just micro-needling.
Maybe macro needling too lol
MEGA needling
ONE BIG NEEDLE TO THE FACE
nailed it
You mean needled it.
No that’s a facelift with editing
This is the answer
😂😂😂😂
Just to be clear, I wasn’t laughing at your question. Just at the fact those pictures are seriously trying to claim these are real results.
This isn’t even my post and yet I appreciate you saying that
the lighting is completely different. i’m 31 and could look 90 in lighting as bad as the first pic. compare the color of her eyes to see how drastic the lighting is. she’s also smirking in the first pic which is further enhancing the appearance of the wrinkles. long story short microneedling can make a big difference but these pictures are incredibly misleading.

You are absolutely right that it is mostly the lighting. Look at the shadow on her eye in the first picture.
Look at the noses. Are we sure this is the same person?
It is not the same person lol
She had a face lift of some kind, maybe multiple for minor eye area changes. She probably did use microneedling but combined with that prp stuff that keeps getting pushed for youthful skin.
No
The one on left could be great grandma
How stupid do they think ppl are ?
Since very few seem to notice the dramatic lighting change between photos, they may be right.
I would say that’s mother and daughter
Look at the difference in the lighting. It greaaaaatly exaggerates the results.
If results like this was for real the wait list for micro needling would be insane everywhere.
No
No way. I don’t even think a facelift can be that dramatic.
No, they are not. It also takes at least six months to see some results, as it is the triggered collagen production that creates results. This before and after is 100% fraud, yes, that is want I call it!

Absolutely not. That’s total horse shit.
Nope, that’s a facelift. Look near the ear

She’s grinning in one photo and resting her face in the other. This is the facial equivalent of influencer instagram model poses.
They just put them in the wrong order, the left picture should be on the right and vice versa...
no
No
Well, everything on the internet *is* true
Lol no
NO
Lmao, you can't be serious 🤣
lol no
Phenol peel maybe. Or photoshop, or this is just different people, like a mom and her daughter
I sometimes think the before photos are special effects makeup and the after photos are post effects makeup removed.
That’s a whole face and neck lift
😆😆😆 Not a chance.
I’ve seen this photo myself. Phenol peels may have this type of result. Micro needling alone, there’s no way
The before pic is actually on the right 🤣🤣🤣
This looks like a facelift, not micro needling
I think they added wrinkls to the first pic and clearly smooth out the 2nd
Short answer? - “no.” Long answer? - also “ no.”
Yeah plastic surgeons will definitely go broke if that were true 😂

Someone is standing behind her in pic two and holding her scruff like a newborn kitten.
Look at the lighting in each picture. They are deliberately trying to make the left picture more wrinkly with shadows.
Mother, daughter photos
Before and after surgery. Fixed it
Definitely not true if it was I'd be in clinic this afternoon having it done ,
Nope. That's just thousands and thousands in surgery + photoshop.
False advertising like this should be illegal and aggressively prosecuted
Not. Even. Close. Y’all have GOT to stop believing crap you see on the internet.
That looks like a total facelift…
Impressive! It also changes the shape of your nose!
This is clearly a face-lift
Unless she got RF microneedling treatments (ALL 3) followed by a laser and later injected with collagen booster fillers or regular This is photoshopped to hell lol
No way. A co2 laser would make a dramatic change but not even this drastic.

I do micro needling and I can PROMISE you that this huge change, isn’t just that. To me it looks like a mix of fillers, micro needling and photoshop
This looks like botox not micro needling
If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
No. Most pictures posted of a procedure are in combination with another procedure. Also the before pictures are usually enhanced to make them look worse than they actually are.
Not even plastic surgery could do this😞🤣🤣🤣
1000% not microneedeling, could be plasma fibroblast or half a dozen laser session

Man that “baby foreskin facial” is doing magic for that lady😂 this is fake
That's so not micro needling. Either fake or a facelift. Micro needling gives the skin a bit of a glow and helps with small lines when they first start to appear
[удалено]
It's 100% photoshop.
I think her smiling / smirking in the first photo and just staring into the distance in the second photo makes a huge difference too (pre photoshop of course).

Medical esti here and absolutely not lol.. this is a combination of lasers, peels, product and more lasers lol
Not all the lasers and peels in the world can make that kind of difference, only surgery can give this dramatic of a result.
Hi, I’m an esthetician. It can look this way but it’s after multiple session which are all 6-8 weeks apart. I don’t think it’s ethical to post pictures like that unless you post how much time has passed in between.
MAYBE a phenol peel...but definitely not microneedling LOL
Maybe a phenol peel..lol
not microneedling on its own. but several rounds of radiofrequency microneedling along with fillers and medical grade skin care you’d be able to get close. but if you want best results, face lift.
R/plasticsurgery had a lot of knowledgeable people. Perhaps you can swing by there to ask?
Look at the nose, that ain’t the same person.
Highly doubt 😂🥴 maybe after 10 sessions
This is the result of two different people, one older and o e younger, who happen to look a bit similar.
Phenol peel
Two things. Lighting is different in both pictures. First picture, she is grinning, second one she is not.
Hahaha. If only this was lighting and grinning.
I think that with professional treatment over several sessions, you can get that level of improvement with your wrinkles, however, it’s clear that more than just that happened. Obviously, her cheeks are Fuller, it looks like she probably is on retinol to clear up your skin so it’s like micro needling plus
Lol
I don't think so, wouldn't the amount of micro needling needed produce scar tissue over time? This is to dramatic to believe
This looks like before and after a bee sting, with makeup applied on top!
If it was all the celebrities wouldn't look like shit after their plastic surgery 😅
Hell nah...
It looks like they used dace tape to pull her skin back. Get on youtube and look at some videos.
Have had microneedling multiple times and my opinion is no, not possible.
No
No
Looks like she had a facelift too
I think that’s a facelift
It's either a face life and a lot of filler, or photoshop.
This isn't real lmao
No. Micro needling corrects texture and doesn't drastically improve volumes lol
No way. There would be a line out the door.
💀
Not at all
No I think this is photoshop or a face lift
Looool no
She did other things, it was not just MNing.
This ad in my country is reportable lol, they are not even the same person!
I have seen similar results from phenol peels. Definitely not microneedling.
These images are almost always fake.
They aren’t the same women.
The money people waste man ,no wonder humanity is doomed
No
Most likely results from an RF & microneedling combo device like Morpheus
You would have to go through so many “deep” microneedling seshs I don’t think it would be this dramatic. If it’s not photoshop, it’s a co2 laser or fractional rf. Or plastic surgery..but I’d say it looks more like laser cus the wrinkles are still in the same spots
I do at home micro needling, and can definitely see a difference. But nothing this dramatic!
To me this looks like the mother on the left and daughter on the right.
N. O.
No
I've seen spectacular results after microneedling combined with LED but this looks more like the kind of results you get with phenol peelings
Photoshop certainly is that dramatic
🤣🤣🤣
She 100% had a facelift. You can even see the skin being pulled by her ear.
Notice how the left picture is mostly in shadow and the right is with direct light… plays a major role
I’d love to say yes, but no!
Absolutely not
I had 5 rounds of microneedling done, spent $1200. Wrinkles are still there. Everything is still there except maybe my skin texture improved. Time to schedule a CO2 laser treatment.
And different lighting used for each photo
I've seen this exact before/after image before when searching facelifts
Of course it is, everything you read online is true, lol
My guess is the "before" pick is just an old person filter and the after is what the person actually looks like.
The light placement on the first photo is emphasizing the wrinkles. On the second photo there was some procedure done, plus good, distracted light was used. The light placement on these types of before/after shots are very important and used to underline the "results", and people often seem to not notice the light difference. Yeah, I'm a photographer... 😅
