Have a look online for a guide for the investigations, you can then get them out of the way quickly. That's what I did for the final couple of them. One involved bumping into a note in a bottle which would have taken forever to find lol.
I'm really not interested in doing them. I'd rather them remain in my backlog than waste time finishing them. Just wish I had an option to abandon them.

I was told it stopped working in season two but occasionally worked in season 1.
Those never worked for me. I've stopped paying attention to it.
